Lillian R. Keister
LOVETTSVILLE, Va. - Lillian Ruth Neff Keister, 97, of 39705 Wenner Road, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999, at Shawnee Springs Health and Rehab Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Nov. 30, 1902, in Timberville, Va., she was the daughter of the late John Michael and Daisie Mae Hawse Neff.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Keister.
Along with her husband, she farmed the Jay Dee Kay Farm in Lovettsville from 1940 to 1963. For many years she was the Lovettsville correspondent for the Blade Times in Brunswick, Va., and the Loudoun Times-Mirror in Leesburg, Va.
She was active in St. James United Church of Christ at Lovettsville.
She was active in the Bay District Senior Citizens and M&S Tour Company. She was also active with Home Demonstration, 4-H Clubs and was an advocate of youth activities in both Lovettsville School and the community.
She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy L. Rickard of Lovettsville, Wanda Biller of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Johanna Keister of Fairfax, Va.; four sons, Robert N. Keister of Harpers Ferry, Shirley A. Keister of Newark, Calif., Mack W. Keister of Lovettsville, and Keith T. Keister of Dameron, Md.; two sisters, Esther Rose of Leesburg and June LLoyd of Berryville, Va.; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, John D. Keister Jr. and Jake Keister; seven brothers, Carl M. Neff, Leonard L. Neff, Nevin A. Neff, Bernard H. Neff, Clarence D. Neff, Roscoe C. Neff and William E. Neff.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Union cemetery, Lovettsville. The Rev. Douglas Fraim will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are by Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry.
Wayne C. Hill
ARLINGTON, Va. - Wayne C. Hill, 57, of Arlington and Martinsburg, W.Va., died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at Arlington Hospital.
Born April 19, 1942, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Jesse Monroe and Margaret Oliver Hill.
He was a 1960 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He retired from the Internal Revenue Service.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lord Hill; a daughter, Jessica P. Hill of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Reymann W. Hill of Martinsburg; a sister, Gay Hill Dawson of Atlanta; two grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Russell Siler will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Louis P. Ingram
PEARISBURG, Va. - Louis Poff Ingram, 81, of Pearisburg, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Quincy Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Pa.
Born Jan. 12, 1918, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Patrick M. and Vergie Prillaman Ingram.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, was an MIA and POW and a Purple Heart recipient.
He had business affiliations with Ingram Pontiac, Ingram & Hayes Furniture, and Firestone; and was a local homebuilder.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Moran Ingram of Waynesboro; two daughters, Betsy I. King of Mercersburg, Pa., and Linda I. Jordan of Waynesboro; one brother, Paul Ingram of Collinsville, Va.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Susie Hartley, Ophelia Ingram and Ella Ingram; five brothers, Clenard Ingram, Frank Ingram, Raymond Ingram, Coy Ingram and Wilson Ingram.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Givens Funeral Home, 110 Woodrum St., Pearisburg. The Rev. Charles W. Lockerby will officiate. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home; and Tuesday, Dec. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home of Nell Ingram, 12105 Bayer Drive, Waynesboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association or Washington County SPCA of Hagerstown.

Michael B. Howard
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Michael Bryant Howard, 45, of San Diego, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, in San Diego.
Born Oct. 5, 1954, in Leesburg, Va., he was the son of Helen Frye and Howard Funk of Brunswick, Md., and the late Earl T. Howard.
He worked in the construction industry.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Peggy A. Lam of Brunswick and Sherry V. Williams of Mechanicsville, Va.; six brothers, Jack T. Howard of White Deer, Pa., William L. Howard and Steve Barnhart, both of Brunswick, Larry D. Howard of Fort Worth, Texas, Jerry E. Howard of Keedysville and Gregory L. Barnhart of Jefferson, Md.; nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by John T. Williams Funeral Home in Brunswick.
William G. Sproat Sr.
WINCHESTER, Va. - William George Sproat Sr., 86, of 1411 Opequon Ave., died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born May 8, 1913, in Louisville, Ky., he was the son of the late Edward and Marylyn Martin Sproat.
He attended Earlam College in the Midwest.
He and his wife owned Waynesboro Bus Terminal in Waynesboro, Pa., and Pennsylvania and Terre Haute Bus Terminal in Terre Haute, Ind.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a former member of Kiwanis.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Lorene Crepes Sproat, whom he married
May 18, 1951; a son, Dr. William G. Sproat Jr. of Bristow, Va.; a brother, Charles Sproat of Clarksville, Ind., and a grandson.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Lochstampfor Funeral Home, corners of South Church and West Second streets in Waynesboro. The Rev. Lynn Opderbeck of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Centreville, Va., will officiate. Burial will be in Harbaugh Church cemetery in Rouzerville, Pa.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
