Noah F. Kidwell
INWOOD, Va. - Noah F. Kidwell, 98, of Inwood, died Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Heartland of Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Jan. 30, 1901, in Paw Paw, W.Va., he was the son of the late Albert and Margery Kidwell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma L. Fishel.
He retired from Lord Brothers; and was an orchardist and farm helper.
He was a member of Inwood Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by five daughters, Betty L. Rogers, Mary A. Allen, Evelyn J. Jones, Cathleen M. Sweeney and Ruby J. Miller, all of Martinsburg; two sons, Joseph F. Kidwell of Martinsburg and James H. Kidwell of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Jack Rudy will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary M. Creager
COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. - Mary M. Ramsey Creager, 74, of 3613 Spruce Ave., died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at Chippenham Medical Center in Richmond, Va.
Born Aug. 19, 1924, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George and Ester Atkins Ramsey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Creager, in 1971. They were married
Nov. 10, 1942.
She attended school in Philadelphia.
She was employed by Waynesboro Hospital in the housekeeping department.
She was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, Waynesboro.
She was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post No. 15 Ladies Auxiliary, Waynesboro; and Colonial Heights, Va., Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by her companion of 28 years, William Noonan of Colonial Heights; a daughter, Marjorie Colbert of Colonial Heights; a son, Randy Creager of Zullinger, Pa.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay A. Pierceall.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Thomas J. Hemler will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Andrew Catholic cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
Edwin P. Churchill
WINCHESTER, Va. - Edwin Phillip Churchill, 81, of Winchester, and formerly of Charles Town, W.Va., died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.
Born July 22, 1917, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Churchill.
He was a graduate of McKinley High School in Washington, D.C. He received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from Benjamin Franklin University in Washington.
He was a certified public accountant in Washington. He previously worked as a page in the U.S. Senate; and as a messenger and clerk at local thoroughbred racetracks.
He was a Protestant.
He was preceded in death by his companion, Katherine "Katie" Boxwell, in 1993.
Graveside services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town. The Rev. William Everhart will officiate.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town.

Lillian M. Flowers
WINCHESTER, Va. - Lillian Merle Flowers, 81, of 1011 Pennsylvania Ave., died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at a local nursing home.
Born Oct. 25, 1917, in Muskgon, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Orville Russell and Elizabeth Kegreis Owens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin K. Flowers.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Michael K. Flowers of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Rose Hinkle of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Max Owens of Shelbyville, Ill.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Private burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery, Hagerstown.
Lillard L. Conley
ROUND HILL, Va. - Lillard Leo Conley, 75, of Round Hill, died Friday, July 16, 1999, at Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born May 15, 1924, in Rockingham County, Va., he was the son of the late Charlie and Victoria Morris Conley.
He was a caretaker for many years at Little Fiddler Green Farm in Round Hill.
He was a member of Tabernacle Holiness Church in Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he received the following medals: Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Ribbon.
He was a member of Mission Tabernacle Holiness Church in Harpers Ferry.
He is survived by his wife of 51 1/2 years, Marie S. Shifflett Conley; two daughters, Joyce M. Conley at home and Patricia A. Trambell of Leesburg, Va.; a son, Wayne Conley of Ranson, W.Va.; three sisters, Viola Shifflett and Minnie Thacker, both of Charlottesville, Va. and Ruby Shifflett of Orange, Va.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joe W. Conley; three sisters, Laura Shifflett, Luna Breeden and Cora Collier; and four brothers, Elijah Conley, Raymond Conley, Robert Conley and Luther Conley.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Mission Tabernacle Holiness Church, Mission Road, Harpers Ferry. The Rev. Lee Strickler will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer cemetery, Round Hill.

Daniel C. Cunningham Sr.
WINCHESTER, Va. - Daniel Clinton Cunningham Sr., 69, of Winchester, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born March 5, 1930, in Washington County, he was the son of Arthur S. and Mary Young Cunningham.
He retired from Swimley Furniture Co. of Winchester on June 24, 1999.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the American Legion of Williamsport.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Carroll Cunningham, whom he married
June 17, 1966; two daughters, Laura Elizabeth Hinkle of Winchester and Dana Lynn Cunningham of Hagerstown; two sons, Daniel Todd Cunningham of Middletown, Va., and Daniel Clinton Cunningham Jr. of Hagerstown; two stepsons, Jeffrey Lynn Saylor and Ronald Lee Saylor, both of Sharpsburg; a sister, Carletta Y. Miller of Hagerstown; two brothers, Arthur S. Cunningham Jr. and Robert F. Cunningham, both of Williamsport; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Bowers; and a brother, Edmund Cunningham.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale cemetery, Martinsburg, W.Va. Pastor Chad Dunford will officiate.
