Arthur H. Heckman
LYNCHBURG, Va. - Arthur Huber Heckman, 95, of 4900 Fort Ave. and formerly of Chambersburg, Pa., died Saturday, April 10, 1999, at Guggenheimer Nursing Home, Lynchburg.
Born Oct. 9, 1903, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late James M. and Emma Huber Heckman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecil Foster Heckman, in 1981.
He was a parts salesman for the former Chambersburg Implement Co., Chambersburg.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Amherst, Va.
He is survived by a daughter, Marion H. Heckler of Naples, Fla.; a son, John F. Heckman of Lynchburg; a brother, Charles Heckman of Camp Hill, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Dave Peters will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Monday one hour before the services at the funeral home.

William J. Leatherman Jr.
WINCHESTER, Va. - William Jacob Leatherman Jr., 79, of 956 Allen Drive, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at a local nursing home.
Born July 18, 1919, in Paramount, he was the son of the late William J. and Mary A. Coff Leatherman.
He was a graduate of Western Maryland College and did postgraduate work at Johns Hopkins University, Department of Agriculture, and James Madison University.
He was an industrial service representative for Potomac Edison Co., retiring in 1982. He taught Electricity II at Dowell J. Howard Vocational School.
He was a physicist with the U.S. Signal Corps from 1942 to 1945.
He was a member of Braddock Street United Methodist Church and secretary of the church board.
He founded and was Cub Master of Pack 3, and worked with Boy Scout Troop 3.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Jones, whom he married
June 28, 1942; a daughter, Susan M. Leatherman of Winchester; two sons, William J. Leatherman III of Claremont, Va., and Marlin G. Leatherman of Winchester; and three grandsons.
Services were private. Burial was in Beaver Creek cemetery.

Dennis L. Solimini
STEPHENS CITY, Va. - Dennis Lee Solimini, 43, of 118 Fairfax Drive, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at his home.
Born March 9, 1956, in Quincy, Mass., he was the son of Carmen and Joycelin Cantelli Solimini of Newport Ritchie, Fla.
He was the maintenance supervisor for Phoenix Color Corp. in Hagerstown; and had previously worked for John H. Harland Co. for 15 years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lunt Solimini, whom he married
July 9, 1983; a daughter, Melissa Solimini at home; a son, Jared Solimini at home; three sisters, Brenda Maceachern of Ovita, Fla., Gail Caron of Plymouth, Mass., and Tina Comeau of Weymouth, Mass.; a brother, Brian Solimini of Pembrook, Mass.; three nieces and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at Taunton Assembly of God Church, Taunton, Mass. Chaplain Ron Cook will officiate.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Mount Walaston cemetery, Quincy.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Winchester, Va.

Georgianna J. M. Ellmer
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Georgianna Jean McMillen Ellmer, 64, of Virginia Beach, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital, Norfolk, Va.
Born Feb. 3, 1935, in Harrisonburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Hazel B. and the late William H. McMillen.
She was a 1953 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She was an active member of Washington Square United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lewis H. Ellmer; two daughters, Lisa E. Curling of Virginia Beach, and Tamara E. Bland of Chesapeake; three sons, Dennis Ellmer of Fairfax, Va., Carl Thomas Ellmer of Fredericksburg, Va., and Lewis H. Ellmer, Jr. of Virginia Beach; one sister, Barbara Shives; two brothers, William H. McMillen and Richard Burk McMillen, all of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by twin daughters, Theresa Jean and Margaret Ann; a granddaughter, Devon Catherine Bland; one sister, Eleanor Staley; and one brother, Carl McMillen.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church. The Rev. Keith Almond will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Kempsville Chapel. Following the burial the family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John Curling.

Helen R. Gleason
ASHBURN, Va. - Helen Regina Garver Gleason, 88, of Ashburn, and formerly of Barnesville, Md., died Saturday, March 6, 1999, at Loudoun County Hospital Center in Leesburg, Va.
Born June 17, 1910, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John Albert and Nellie Grim Garver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Gleason.
She was a volunteer for Christ Child Society.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen G. White and Ann P. Gleason, both of Virginia; a son, John E. Gleason of Virginia; and three grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia G. Ryan; and a brother, John Thomas Garver.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Road, Barnesville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Stephen W. Everhart
RICHMOND, Va. - Stephen W. Everhart, 59, of Richmond, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at his home.
Born April 14, 1939, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of Leon P. Everhart of Martinsburg and the late Bertie K. Stuckey Everhart.
He was a 1957 graduate of Martinsburg High School; a graduate of Shepherd College; and received a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
He was retired from IBM Corp.; and was employed with Hitachi Data Systems.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Dale Rhinaman Everhart; two daughters, Sherri Elizabeth Everhart of Richmond and Jill Balbontin of Key Biscayne, Fla.; a sister, Phyllis J. Cheshier of Fort Smith, Ark.; four brothers, Francis D. Everhart of Washington, N.C., Leon P. Everhart Jr. of McGregor, Minn., Donald R. Everhart of Martinsburg and Dr. A. Glenn Everhart of Wall Township, N.J.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sara K. Swain.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. James Cheshier will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
