Larry B. Daniels
NEW BOSTON, Va. - Larry Brian Daniels, 50, of 1208 Peach Ave., died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at Halifax Regional Hospital, New Boston, of complications of Crohn's Disease.
Born Oct. 16, 1948, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Miles D. "Dan" and Dorothy E. Miller Daniels of Chambersburg, Pa.
He was a 1966 graduate of Wakefield High School, Arlington, Va., and 1973 graduate of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Va.
He was employed by Georgia Pacific, Roxboro, N.C.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, New Boston, where he was a choir director and organist.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Brian G. Daniels of Java, Va.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, Pa. The Rev. Ronald E. Dull will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery, Shippensburg.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

James B. Cain
FALLS CHURCH, Va. - James Benny Cain, 77, of Falls Church, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at Hospice of Northern Virginia, Arlington, Va.
Born May 21, 1921, in New Haven, Conn., he was the son of the late Bert B. and Jennie Comas Cain.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vallie R. Kave Cain, in 1993.
He attended Waterview School in Morgan County, W.Va., and Strayer Business College in Washington, D.C.
He was employed by the Division of Technical Services, U.S. government, Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, in Washington, D.C. He retired in 1983.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police.
He played and sang bluegrass music with Bennie and Vallie Cain and the Country Clan from 1946-1992.
He is survived by four nieces, Debbie McElhaney of Big Cove Tannery, Pa., Marion Stotler of Martinsburg, W.Va., Michelle Feltner of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Mary Catherine Kave of Washington, D.C.; seven nephews, Greg Kave and Larry Kave, both of Fairmont, W.Va., Charlie Kave and Bernard Kave, both of Berkeley Springs, Eddie Kave of Martinsburg, Gary Kave of Leesburg, Va., and Terry Kave of Arlington; great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Andre Paul Cain.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Hennis H. Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway cemetery, Berkeley Springs. Military graveside honors will be by Tri-State Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Harry M. Strickland Sr.
HARRISONBURG, Va. - Harry Merrill Strickland Sr., 91, of Harrisonburg, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community Home, Harrisonburg, following a heart attack.
Born June 8, 1907, in Wilmington, Del., he was the son of the late Percival Elam and Maude Merrill Strickland.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Miriam A. Camperson Strickland, in 1996.
He graduated from Wilmington High School in 1925, from Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky., in 1929 and from Central Bible Institute in Springfield, Mo. in 1931. He was ordained as a minister in the Assemblies of God in October 1934.
After pastorates in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland, he became pastor of Bethel Pentecostal Assembly of God Church in Martinsburg, W.Va., in September 1942 and served there for 30 years. He held various offices in the Potomac District of the Assemblies of God, including district superintendent. He remained an Honorary Presbyter of the Potomac District until his death.
He had been academic dean and assistant to the president of Valley Forge (Pa.) Christian College.
He is survived by three daughters, Bernice Folta of New Carrollton, Md., Lois Claxton of Mobile, Ala., and Sharon Sherrad of Millboro, Va.; a son, Harry Merrill Strickland Jr. of Marlowe, W.Va.; a brother, Richard Halstead Strickland of Wilmington; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Maude Strickland; three brothers, William Percival Strickland, Percy Edward Strickland and Roger Addison Strickland.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church, Martinsburg. Dr. Robert Rhoden and the Rev. Robert Sherrard will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, 2060 Rosedale cemetery Road, Martinsburg.

Michael T. Lorden
ASHBURN, Va. - Michael Thomas Lorden, 32, of 43997 Aberdeen Terrace, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998, at his home.
Born April 20, 1966, in Baltimore, he was the son of Harry F. and Catherine T. Keaveney Lorden of Hagerstown.
He was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic School and St. Maria Goretti High School, both of Hagerstown. He was a graduate of Miami University of Ohio.
He was employed as a computer associate.
He attended St. Theresa Catholic Church of Ashburn, Va.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sarah Walsh Lorden; a son, John Michael Lorden, at home; three sisters, Mary G. Gilroy of Beltsville, Md., JoAnn Elder of Ocean City, Md., and Theresa A. Caputi of Vienna, Va.; two brothers, Gregory H. Lorden of Vienna and Patrick K. Lorden of Baltimore; two nieces and three nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Edward Manalis will be celebrant. Burial will be Thursday at noon in North Falmouth Burial Grounds, North Falmouth, Mass.
The family will receive friends Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. N., Hagerstown.

Elsie D. Faulkwell
FALLS CHURCH, Va. - Elsie Dern Faulkwell, 89, of Falls Church, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at Potomac Center Nursing Home in Arlington, Va.
Born July 30, 1909, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John William and Clara Elizabeth Keyton Dern.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy William Faulkwell, in 1975. They were married
in 1931.
She was retired from Riggs National Bank in Washington, D.C.
A veteran of World War II, she served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. William C. Crowe will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
