PULASKI - Myrtle L. Cregger, 85, of Pulaski, Va. born Nov. 9, 1940 in Pulaski departed from this earth May 23, 2003 to join hands with her Savior. Phoebe was one of nine children death by her daughter Lucy Regina Bryson Motley. She is also survived by one brother, James Richard McClanahan, Pulaski; four sisters, Lillian Lindsey, Radford; Lucy McClanahan and Fannie McClanahan, Pulaski; Mary Alice Reeves, Christiansburg; two grandsons, one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28 at 2 p.m. at Shawsville Baptist Church, Shawsville with the Rev. Erdie Trigg officiating. passed away Friday, May 23, 2003 at the New River Valley Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Maynard Phillips of Radford; two sisters, Thelma Baker of Pilot and Hazel Lytton of Walton. DUBLIN - Buford Charlie Bratton, age 91, of Dublin, born in Wythe County, Mar. 1, 1912, son of the late James and Minnie Sue Roope Bratton. Ms. Hopkins was died Monday night, May 19, 2003 in the Pulaski Health Care Center. She was death by her husband, Ira Hubert Long, Sr. and by a son, Bobby Long, by a sister, Viola Long, three brothers, John William Slusher, Jr., Charles Edward Slusher and Victor Eugene Slusher. She was a member of the New River Valley Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the Hensel Eckman YMCA having 15 years of service. Surviving are: her four daughters, Iris Kanode, N. C., Brenda Faw, Vinton, Doris Lewis, Draper, Linda Peak, Dublin; one son, Roger L. Long, Dublin; one sister, Ada Marisha, Lorton; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.Cemetery.
