LOIS HERD NEBLETT
PULASKI – Lois Herd Neblett of Pulaski, Va., born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Dr. Leshe and Marian Herd, both now deceased. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Emory and Henry University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Virginia Polytechnic University. She retired from Pulaski County Schools after teaching Special Education for 30 years. She was a devoted volunteer to her church and to the community over the years, contributing her time and great sense of humor to each.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James M. Neblett, Jr., four children and their spouses, Jim and Donna Neblett of Raleigh, N.C., Joe and Maggie Neblett of Lynchburg, Kathy and Mike Waller of Pulaski, and Jon and Carolyn Neblett of Richmond; five grandchildren, Niki and Parker Neblett of Lynchburg, Wade and Katie Waller of Pulaski, and Cooper Neblett of Richmond. She is also survived by a sister Carol Herd Blankenship and husband, Chester, of Johnson City, Tenn. and a brother, Jimmy Herd and wife, Beverlee, of Forth Worth, Texas and many other cherished family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon, Tuesday, May 31 at Christ Episcopal Church in Pulaski with the Reverend Vickie Houk officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church, Special Olympics, or a charity of choice.

PULASKI - Peggy Sue Cochran, 31, of Pulaski, death by her husband Louis Thomas Ferrell Sr. and a son Louis Thomas Ferrell Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Bowyer of Vinton; Linda Barker of Radford; sister, Betty Watson of Allisonia; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 1, 2005 at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating. passed away Saturday May 28, 2005. She was preceded in Cemetery in Radford with Rev. Mike Bond officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
HOWARD E. 'PAPA GENE' OSBORNE, JR.
GRAHAMS FORGE - Mr. Howard E. "Papa Gene" Osborne, Jr., age 61, born September 18, 1943 in Bluefield, WV to Howard E. Osborne, Sr. and Edna Little Osborne. He was preceded in interment will be in the Osborne Family passed away Thursday May 26, 2005 at Snyder Nursing Home in Salem. She was preceded in died Wednesday afternoon, May 25, 2005 in the Highland Ridge Rehab Center, Dublin. She was death by her husband, Jake Davis Cox, by a son, Thurman G. Cox, a daughter, Kathleen McGlothlin, a grandson, Timothy E. Cox, a granddaughter, Debbie Moore, and by a great-granddaughter, Robin M. Cox.
Surviving are: her brother, Calvin Bailey, Knoxville, Tenn.; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Opal Cox, Pulaski, Timmy and Glenna Cox, Hillsville, Frank and Joyce Cox, Pelion, S.C., Arthur and Caroline Cox, Louisa, Va., Charles Dean Cox, Lexington, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Cox, Wytheville, Va.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. passed away Monday, May 23, 2005. She is survived by her parents, Kimberlyn Sloan and Gerald Lindsey of Draper; grandparents, Roger and Margaret Ratcliffe of Draper; Robert & Katie Lindsey of Pulaski; two brothers, Roger Sloan and Michael Lindsey; one sister, Chasity Lindsey and fiancé, Michael Cappretta; one niece, Chloe Cappretta; several aunts, uncles and nieces.
A graveside Cemetery, Delton, VA (Pulaski, County) with Rev. Raymond White officiating. The Lindsey Family is being served by Hornedied Tuesday night, May 24, 2005 in the Montgomery Regional Hospital, Blacksburg. Mr. Greer was died in 1987.
Surviving are: his sons, Rickey Greer, Bedford, Steve Greer, Newbern; daughter, Candace Swisher, Herndon; grandchildren, Stephanie and Ashley Greer, Jereme Greer, Carleigh, Jillian and Ryan Swisher; sisters, Bethel Holman, Todd, N.C., Edith Houck, Lenoir, N.C.
Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. Visiting will be Thursday evening from Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Warm Hearth Nursing Home, 1000 Lytton Lane, Blacksburg, Va. 24061 in memory of Roy Dean Greer.

PIERCE ALTON CHINAULT
PULASKI - Pierce Alton Chinault, age 67 of 1187 Floyd Lane, Pulaski Born Nov. 7, 1937 in Pulaski, Va. he was the son of the late David Thomas and Dollie Mae Young Chinault. Four brothers, Harry Lewis Chinault, Randall Kent Chinault, Homer Cleaven Chinault and Thomas Chinault and two sisters, Pauline Baker and Margaret Evelyn Pannell also preceded him in died May 25, 2005 after a brave struggle with cancer.
Ann was the daughter of the late William J. Dawson, Jr. and Evelyn Dawson of Dublin, Virginia. She was a graduate of Morehead High School in Eden, NC and Radford University. Ann retired from the Virginia Beach Public Schools after more than 25 years of service where she was a third grade teacher. She was an avid naturalist who loved all animals.
Ann's survivors include her husband of twenty-eight years, Terry H. Ingham; two sons, Benjamin W. Ingham and Jonathan R. Ingham of Chesapeake; a brother, Kenneth Dawson of Cedar Grove, NC; two sisters, Karen Fuller and Carrboro, NC and Carol Miller of Creston, NC as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be forever missed by her husband, sons, and everyone who knew her and loved her.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Great Bridge Presbyterian Church, 333 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. Dr. Ralph Herbert will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Great Bridge Chapel, Chesapeake.
