PULASKI - Eugene Massie Miller, age 68 of Pulaski, Born June 18, 1935 in Amonate, Va., he was the son of the late Clyde Rebecca Adams Miller and Wells Russell Miller. He was a retired Coal Miner having worked many years for Hawley Coal Co. in Bradshaw, WVa. He was a member of the Newbern Community Christian Church, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Henry Clay Masonic Lodge #280 A.F.&A.M. where he served as a Past Master, a member of the Blacksburg Commandery #32, a member of the Pulaski Royal Arch Masons, and a member of the Kazim Shriners in Roanoke, Va. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin where the V.F.W. Post 1184 will conduct military graveside rites, and the Henry Clay Lodge #280 A.F.&A.M. will conduct Masonic graveside rites. SNOWVILLE - Alma Martin, 78, of Snowville departed this life Aug. 21, 2003 at Pulaski Nursing and Rehab. She was a member of the Snowville Baptist Church. Ms. Martin was a long time employee of J. BOBBIE JEAN BARKSDALE
LUSBY, MD. - Bobbie Jean Barksdale, 59, of Lusby, Md. Born Aug. 24, 1943 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Homer Lee Duncan and the late Amanda Louise Lawson Duncan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passed away Sunday, August 17, 2003 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include a brother, Kenny D. McPeak of Radford; sister, Sharon Tabor of Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the West Radford Church of God with Pastor Arthur Harris and Pastor Jim Walker officiating. Cemetery in Radford, where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the West Radford Church of God. JEANNIE CAROL HICKS SNAVELY
PULASKI - Jeannie Carol Hicks Snavely, age 33 of 923 Craig Street, Pulaski Born Aug. 22, 1969 in Welch, W. Va. she is the daughter of Betty Altizer Hicks and the late Clyde Hicks and step-father, Sherman East.
Surviving are: her mother, Betty Altizer Hicks, Pulaski; husband, Mark Stuart Snavely, Pulaski; children, James Daniel Snavely, Pulaski, David Reeves, Pulaski.
A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Trail Family died Aug. 14, 2003 in Lewis Gale Hospital. He was death by his wife, Vida L. Alexander and a son Barry K. Alexander, six brothers, two sisters. He was a member of the Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church, Draper.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Michael Coleman officiating. Cemetery, Hiwassee. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m Saturday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.

HIWASSEE - Annie Dean O’Dell age 89 of 5794 Baptist Hollow Road, Hiwassee, passed away on Aug. 11, 2003 at Langdon Place, Keene, N. H. after a long battle with diabetes.
