RADFORD - Edith Rasnake Thompson, age 78 of Radford, death by her parents William Stafford and Lilly Kiser Rasnake and husband James Seldon Thompson, Sr., sister, Ruth Booth, two brothers, Silas M. Rasnake and Paul Rasnake.
Survivors include two sons, James Thompson, Jr. of Dublin, William J. Thompson of Radford; two grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14 at Radford Christian Church with Rev. Andrew Woodward officiating. Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

DUBLIN - Willard E. Wright, 70 of Dublin born in Bland County on April 29, 1933. He was preceded in Interment in Highland Memory Garden, Dublin. MILTIE O. MUSSER
MONROE - Miltie O. Musser, age 72 of Monroe, Interment will follow at the New Hope United Methodist Church in Monroe. Retired with 20 years of service in the United States Army, Mr. Musser served in post war Europe, Korea and Vietnam in military intelligence, he also did many portraits with Life Touch Photos with children as Santa Clause. He is survived by wife: Ann Harkey Musser, Monroe; children, Bruce Murphy, Jr., Monroe, Jimmy and Cindy Murphy, Monroe, Linda and Paul Huhn, Monroe, David and Suzanne Murphy, Jonesboro; mother, Virginia Musser, Claytor Lake, Va.; brother, William D. “Bill” and Joan Musser, Marietta; sister, Darlene and Chuck Sawyer, Walnut, Calif.; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. DRAPER - Nannie Alverta Windle Quesenberry, 89, of Draper born in Pulaski County on Dec. 31, 1913 and was the daughter of the late William and Bessie Windle. He was preceded in died Sunday evening, Aug. 3, 2003 at her home. She was death by her husband, Glen David Hall, and by a brother, Danny Lucas and by a grandson, Timothy E. Cox, Jr. Mrs. Hall was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pulaski and she was a retired employee of Sovran Bank, which is now Bank of America.
Surviving are: her daughters and sons-in-law, Glenna and Tim Cox, Hillsville, Janet and Phillip Doyle, Barren Springs, Amy Sams, Pulaski; granddaughter, Sarah Cox; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Gary Bland, Christiansburg; brothers and sister-in-law, Johnny and Mary Ann Lucas, Dublin, Darryl Lucas, Christiansburg; special aunt, Ethel Walters, Charlotte, N. C.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Dr. Don Pegram officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. BELSPRINGS - Louise Shepherd Sarver, 75, of Belsprings, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2003. Her husband, Douglas C. Sarver, and daughter, Brenda Young, predecease her.
Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of donor’s choice. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Dr. Abe Andes and his staff as well as all of the nurses associated with Carilion Hospice for their care of our loved one. DONNA KAY “KATIE” VINES
RADFORD - Donna Kay “Katie” Vines age 50 of Radford, formerly of Beckley Born Sept. 30, 1952 at Beckley she was the daughter of the late Donald Eugene and Lyda Grace Lilly Vines.
She was a 1970 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a graduate of Concord College with a BA Degree in Psychology. A resident of Radford the past 26 years she was formerly affiliated with HCMF and was currently a computer programmer for EchoStar. She held a great love for animals.
Katie is survived by a brother, Donald Eugene Shannon of Charleston.
In keeping with Katie’s wishes she will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Melton Mortuary Chapel at 1200 Harper Road, Beckley. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that you do something kind for a homeless animal.
WILLIAM “MONK” POOLE
PULASKI - William “Monk” Poole, age 100, of 842 Jackson Avenue, Pulaski Born Jan. 5, 1903 in Max Meadows, Va., he was the son of the late John Wesley Poole and Odie Black Poole. Five sisters, six brothers and a son, Richard M. Peoples, also preceded him in Cemetery with Rev. C. G. Slaughter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
