PULASKI - Henry Eugene Davis, age 77 of Pulaski Born October 15, 1926 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Mona Davis Swaim and W.E. Swaim. Mr. Davis was a retired employee of the Kroger Company. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in W.W. II, a member of the Pulaski Presbyterian Church in America, and a member of the Pythagoras Masonic Lodge #239 A.F.&A.M. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Summerville officiating. The V.F.W. Post 1184 will conduct military graveside rites as well as the Phythagoras Masonic Lodge #239 A.F.&A.M. conducting graveside rites. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted, but for those who wish to make memorial contributions in the memory of Henry Davis, they may do so the Pythagoras Masonic Lodge #239 A.F.&A.M. 33 4th St., N.W. SALEM - Louise Lester Scherrer, 91, of Salem, formerly of Pulaski and of Port St. Lucie, Fla., death by her husbands, Clarence Lester and Alfred Scherrer; and a grandson, Robert Lester. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William H. and Martha Lester of Salem; stepsons and wives, Alfred and Arlene Scherrer of Hampton, Va., Richard and Patricia Scherrer of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and John and Sheryn Scherrer of Bay Shore, Long Island; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. at the College Lutheran Church with Rev. Dwayne Westerman officiating. passed away Friday night, October 31, 2003 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. She was death by a daughter, Louise Thrasher; brothers, George, Nelson and Clyde Kitts; a stepbrother, Jeff Barnett; half-sisters, Ocie Matthews and Beulah Fox.
She was survived by her husband of 57 years, James H. Hanks, Pulaski; and daughter, Cathy Dianne Hanks, Christiansburg.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor John Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Sunday evening from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.

PULASKI - David Jackson Hickman of 200 Holly Street, Pulaski, departed this world on Monday, Dec. 15, 2003. David was married nearly 50 years before she departed this world in 1997. Prior to marriage he would attend Virginia State University.
Three children survive David, Son Michael D. Hickman (Marva) resides in Pulaski. Daughter Joann Releford (Andre) of Blacksburg and son Richard Hickman of Pulaski also survive their father.
