PULASKI - Effie Quesenberry Duke, 83, of Pulaski born January 31, 1921 in Pulaski County. She was the daughter of the late Uyless Quesenberry and Cittie Reece Quesenberry. She was also preceded in died Thursday, February 26, 2004 at his home in Delton. He was died Thursday, February 26, 2004 at her home in Delton. She was death by her husband, Glenn Jackson Eller.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Janice and Randy Eller, Shiloh; Jerry and Marlene Eller, Delton; Joyce Eller Gravley, Wytheville; and Ted Jackson Eller, Delton; a sister, Ethel Ryan, Pulaski; a brother, Willard Kanode, Pulaski; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from Stevens Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Rusty Whitener officiating.

WINIFRED (WINNIE) MCCORMICK PADGETT
PULASKI - Winifred (Winnie) McCormick Padgett, 96, of Pulaski, VA born on December 9, 1907 in Buena Vista, VA. She was the daughter of the late James A. McCormick and Rubye Amole McCormick. She was also preceded in Cemetery, Buena Vista, Va.
The family will receive friends at Stevens Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. Following visitation, an Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The public is invited to attend.

VIRGINIA "JENNY" POWELL HALL
DUBLIN Virginia Jenny Powell Hall, age 58 of Dublin, VA, born June 3, 1945 in Raleigh County, WV and was a daughter of the late Phillip Patrick and Daisy Stover Powell. Jenny was a devoted wife and mother, caring abundantly and affectionately for her family and friends. Jenny had a positive influence on all that knew her and her purity, faith and unconditional love will be a legacy to those who crossed her path. Jenny lived her life nurturing and serving others and was faithfully dedicated to her church. In addition to her parents, Jenny was preceded in died Friday, February 27, 2004 in the Pulaski Community Hospital.

WILLIAM ARCHIE MOORE
PULASKI William Archie (Beaver) Moore, United States Navy, Retired, 69, of Pulaski, lost his battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, Feb. 24. At the time of his born on May 31, 1934 to the late Stover Green Moore and Allie Asper Moore who preceded him in death were brothers Rookie and Jack and his son, Samuel Martin Moore. Beaver entered the United States Navy in 1951, serving during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. His service in Vietnam in 1966 took him around the world and across the equator and after his retirement in 1971 he returned to his hometown of Pulaski where he was employed by the Pulaski Flower Shop before his Cemetery with Dr. Randy Frye officiating. A memorial service will then be held at First United Methodist Church at 3:30 p.m. with visitation following the memorial service at the church. The family would like to encourage memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers, 135 4th St., N. W., Pulaski, Va. 24301.

RADFORD - Charles Wesley Price, 69 of Radford, death by his parents, John Wesley and Anna Estelle Tolbert Price. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn "Judy" Morgan Price of Radford; a daughter, Judith Parsons of Springfield, IL; three sons, Charles W. Price, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Ronald Price of Pulaski, and Matthew Price of Radford; a brother, Dale Price of Seattle, WA; three sisters, Betty Turner of Pulaski, Sally Mae Moore of Christiansburg, and Linda Keene of Va. Beach; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Park Brethren in Christ Church in Dublin with Dr. Michael Blouse officiating. Cemetery in Pulaski County. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Highland Park Brethren in Christ Church. HILLIARD, OHIO Louise Melton Linkous, age 79 of Hilliard, Ohio and formerly Pulaski Born Feb. 11, 1925 in Foster Falls (Wythe County), Va., she was the daughter of the late Virginia Melton Dickerson. Her husband, Cass Hall Linkous, Sr., also preceded her in Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon one hour prior to service time.

CHRISTIANSBURG William "Bill" Hugh Hines, 78 of Christiansburg and a long time Radford resident, death by his parents, Robert and Victoria Hines, and two brothers, Gilmer and Robert E. Hines. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty F. Hines of Christiansburg; two daughters, Karen Ryplansky of Newbern, and Vickie Green of Newport; a son, Bob Hines of Lawrenceville, GA; four grandchildren; three sisters, Annie Fred Wright and Clara Jane Billig, both of Blacksburg, and Vickie Burton of Charlottesville. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home with Rev. James Bennington officiating. passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004 in Lakeland, Fla. death.

Survivors include one son, Melvin Lewey with whom she made her home; two daughters, Loretta Hedrick of Duhring and Shirley Vannoy of Princeton; four grandchildren, Feleesha Nester, Jacob Nester and twins, Dakota and Brittany Nester all of Duhring; one brother, Carl Anderson and his wife Delpha of Pulaski, VA; two sisters, Ruth Frost and Alma Hanks and her husband Robert all of Pulaski, VA; many nieces and nephews, including Hallie, Nancy and Joanne; and many friends and neighbors.
Funeral services were conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2004 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Nancy Cale officiating. A graveside service will be conducted today at 2:00 p.m. at Thornspring cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Abdul Piracha and Dr. Philip Branson.
