KENANSVILLE, N.C. – Robert Matthis Walters, age 51, born July 18, 1952 to the late Mr. Robert Lee Walters and wife, Mrs. Shirley Marie Lester Walters, of Augusta County, Va., he was a machinist at Guilford East of Kenansville.
Mr. Walters is survived by his many friends and co-workers of Guilford East of Kenansville.
A graveside service will be 4 p.m. Friday, Mar. 26, 2004 at Rose Hill died Tuesday in the Pulaski Community Hospital.

He was a member of the Fairlawn Church of God and a custodian at John N. Dalton Intermediate School. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Judy H. RADFORD – Hazel Gladys Showalter Duncan, 91 of Radford, formerly of Blacksburg, death by her husband, Roy W. Duncan, a granddaughter, Teresa Ann Duncan, and a daughter-in-law, Mary Duncan.
Survivors include three sons, Roy, Jr. Duncan of Childress, Robert L. Duncan of Radford, and William W. Duncan of Christiansburg; a daughter, Judy Tedder of Fairfax; a brother, Melvin Showalter of Fayetteville, NC; and a sister, Lucille Lytton of Radford.

EDWARD HAROLD HICKS, JR.
DUBLIN - Edward Harold Hicks, Jr., 76 of Dublin, went to be with his heavenly father on June 18, 2005. He was death by his father Col. Edward H. Hicks, Sr., his mother, Margaret Emerson Hicks, and a sister, Elizabeth Hicks Casey. Mr. Hicks attended The United States Naval Academy and graduated from Widener University in 1963 with a B. S. in Engineering. He was retired from AT&T Technologies and Avtex Fibers Corporation. He served in the Naval Reserve. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a former Scoutmaster of Troop 45, Dublin, Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Geraldine Wahler Hicks; a son, Edward H. Hicks III; a daughter and son-in-law, Adlyn Hicks Futrell and Doug Futrell; two granddaughters, Molly Ann Futrell and Alexandra Noele Futrell. He is also survived by three brothers-in-law, Charles Wahler, Edward Wahler and Fred Wahler, a sister-in-law, Royalene Wahler, all of Philadelphia, PA. In addition he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
