RUBY ALTIZER ROBERTS
CHRISTIANSBURG - Ruby Altizer Roberts born on April 22, 1907 to Waddie William and Dana Cummings Altizer. She was preceded in funeral service will be held at the St Paul United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 27th at 11 with burial in Sunset funeral service, Christiansburg.

THOMAS S. RORRER, SR.
SPOKANE, WA. – Thomas S. Rorrer, Sr., age 73, married Barbara Mar. 23, 1974. He has two stepsons, Kevin Wayne and James William, a step daughter, Melinda Marie, two sons, Thomas S. Jr. deceased, Timothy from Va. and a daughter Susie from Va. He has eight grandchildren in Wa. and seven grandchildren in Va. and 12 great-grandchildren from Va. Surviving siblings from Canton, Ohio are Bobby Rorrer, Edith Starner and Gladys Parks. Hazel Vaughn, James Rorrer, Charles Rorrer, Jr. from Pulaski and Julie Rorrer from Calif. Deceased siblings were Troy, Agnes, Rodney, Daniel and Doranna, Ray, Roscoe and Anna Mae. When Tom retired from his business as a general contractor, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with his wife. Hazen and Jager will be in charge of the cremation and his ashes will be sent back to the family went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, May 24, 2004. She was death by a son, Dana A. Sutphin. She was a retired employee of Krogers in Pulaski with 40 plus years of service.
Surviving are: her husband of 52 years, Cecil A. Sutphin, Dublin; sons and daughters-in-law, Lenford A. and Bettye J. Sutphin, Dublin, Timothy C. and Denise Sutphin, Pulaski; grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew and Hunter; great-grandchild, Cody; step-grandchildren, Ashley and Jamie; sisters, Margaret Waller, Denton, Texas, Nancy Ogle, Hillsville, Rosie Weeks, Snowville, Janice Waller, Dublin, Mildred Viers, Hiwassee; brother, Elwood McPeak, Hiwassee.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kaatz and staff, Dr. Andes and staff of the New River Valley Cancer Center and the staff of Pulaski Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the McPeak Family died Saturday night, May 22, 2004, in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center, Pulaski. She was death by two sisters, Kitty Trail and Mary Viers, and by three brothers, Archie Jarrells, Graham Jarrells and Junior Jarrells, and by one son-in-law, Bill Poling. She was a former cafeteria worker for Hiwassee Elementary School.
Surviving are: her husband of 66 years, Truman McPeak, Hiwassee; daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Jerry O’Dell, Lynhaven, Fla., Susie Poling, Roanoke, Diane and Dennis Crigger, Pulaski; sisters, Lottie McPeak, Annandale, Va., Bernice Parnell, Richlands, Va.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one special nephew and niece, John and Mildred Viers, Hiwassee.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be held Monday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.

MARY EVELYN STEWART
RADFORD - Mary Evelyn Stewart, age 92, passed from this life into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at the New River Valley Medical Center. She was death by her parents, one sister, Lucille Burnette and one brother, Jim Stewart. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, Mrs. Julia Black, the only living first cousin of Alexandria, Va. Funeral services will be Monday, May 24, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Radford, Virginia with Reverend Eric T. Ramey officiating. passed away Friday, May 21, 2004 at Pulaski Community Hospital. He was a member of the New Life Harvest Church and was a U. S. Army Air Corp veteran having served in the Philippines during W. W. II. He was retired from RAAP. He was preceded in Cemetery in Radford with Rev. Dallas Vines officiating. Members of V. F. W. Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Central United Methodist Church, 803 Wadsworth Street, Radford, VA 24141 with a designation for Boy Scout Troop #244. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

MARGARET KIRKMAN LEWEY
PULASKI – Margaret Kirkman Lewey, age 96 of Pulaski, Born August 21, 1907 in Lexington, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Mamie Wilkerson Kirkman and James Mounteville Kirkman. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pulaski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in Cemetery with Dr. Randal Frye officiating. The family will visit with friends at the went to be with the Lord and his loving wife, Virginia Whitlock, on Friday, May 21, 2004. He attended the Christian Fellowship Tabernacle in Christiansburg for many years and was very close to his church family there. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He retired from Radford Army Ammunitions Plant in 1978 after 33 years of service.
He was death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in Interment will follow in the Hickman went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 22, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John C. Osborne; daughter, Kay Adams of Ashland, Va.; son, David Osborne of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Brian Adams, Alicia Osborne, Joseph Clayton Adams and Lindsey Osborne; two great-grandchildren; sister Bonnie Goad of Christiansburg; brother, Donnie Shinault of Bedford; step-father, Buford Shinault; and step-brother, Bill Shinault.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2004, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Dr. J. Michael Palmer officiating. The passed away Saturday, May 22, 2004, in Pulaski Community Hospital. He was death by his first wife, Lucile Quesenberry Gravley, two sisters and six brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Tate Gravley; three daughters, Mae Koger of Max Meadows, Liz Payne of Galax, and Pat Stone of Austinville; four sons, Richard Gravley of Rural Retreat, Roby Gravley of Enace, N.C., Billy Gravley of Woodlawn, and David Gravley of Woodlawn; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 24, 2004, at 2 p.m. in the Flatwood Church of God with Rev. Bobby Alley, Rev. Ronnie Stuart and Rev. Billy Dean officiating.
Cemetery.
Mr. Gravley will be taken to the Flatwood Church of God, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday or at the residence at any time.
Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, is in charge of the arrangements.

LONA MAE STOOTS
PULASKI – Lona Mae Stoots, 82, of Pulaski, Born May 29, 1921 in Pulaski County, she was the son of the late James Lee Stoots and Nannie Quesenberry Stoots. She was preceded in Interment will follow at Oakwood passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at the home of his son.
Arrangements are pending by Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.

HAZEL MAE DAMRON HERZOG
Hazel Mae Damron Herzog, age 90 of Pulaski, Born March 21, 1914 in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Matilda Holt Damron and James B. Damron. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Pulaski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in Interment will be private. . Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, Pulaski.

LUCY JANE AUST (JANIE BELLE) DUNCAN
Lucy Jane Aust (Janie Belle) Duncan of Newbern entered Heaven on Friday, June 25, 2004. She was preceded in Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gordon Shinn officiating. Burial will follow in the Dublin passed away Thursday, June 24, 2004 at Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
