WYTHEVILLE – Eugene McNiel, age 94, of Wytheville, born in Ashe County, N.C., son of the late Kirby and Ellen Faw McNiel. He was a member of the Memorial Christian Church where he was baptized July 27, 2003. Mr. McNiel was preceded in Interment will follow in the West End passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004.

Ricky was a long time member of the Hiwassee Volunteer Fire Department. He was a faithful member of the Max Creek Baptist Church, Hiwassee.
Surviving are: his mother, Norma Jean Farley Quesenberry, Pulaski; brothers and sisters-in-law, James “Dougie” and Barbara Saunders Quesenberry, Pulaski, Danny Lee and Rhonda Lynn Hawkins Quesenberry, Snowville, David Allan and Monica Carden Quesenberry, Dublin; nephews, Christopher Aaron Quesenberry and Travis Nathaniel Quesenberry.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 2 p.m. at Max Creek Baptist Church, Hiwassee with Pastor Mike Coleman officiating.
Cemetery, Hiwassee.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. The family will be meeting at the home of James and Barbara Quesenberry, 3880 Bainbridge Drive, Pulaski.

DUBLIN – David Norman Wenck, Sr. age 71 of Dublin Born April 25, 1933 in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Joseph Wenck and Marion Sutton Wenck. He was also preceded in Interment will follow Wednesday morning at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until time of service at the church.

PULASKI – Lucille Webb Walton, 85, of 520 N. Washington Avenue, Pulaski, born on May 8, 1919 in Palmyra, Va. and was the daughter of the late Tom Webb and Florence Black Webb. She was also preceded in died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004.

RADFORD - Roberta Harris Ingles Steele, 84, of Radford, death by her parents and her older brother Andrew Ingles. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul Steele; son Robert Steele; a grandson. Visitation will be at Radford Presbyterian Church, 201 4th Street, on Thursday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon with Reverend Wendall Manuel and Reverend Betsy Bertelson Rice officiating.

DUBLIN - Lottie Haga Wayne, age 86 of Dublin, death by her parents Noah and Maggie Haga, 10 brothers, and her husband Raymond Lee Wayne who Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. PULASKI-Mildred Alley Edwards, age 79 of Pulaski Born January 16, 1925 in Pulaski Co., she was the daughter of the late Mable Carper Alley & James Henry Alley. BEULAH HARREL VINSON
BACK CREEK - Beulah Harrel Vinson, 91, of the Back Creek section of Pulaski County Born in Pulaski on March 28, 1913 she was the daughter of the late James Harrison Harrell and Mackie Mae Black Harrrell. Beulah lived many wonderful years and was a spirited little lady that was loved by many and will be so missed by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in born on Dec. 5, 1951 in Pulaski, Va. J.B. served in the Army Reserve for over twenty years and earned the rank of Drill Sergeant before he retired. He was a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for thirty-one years. At the time of his death by his father, John William Edmonds, Sr., a brother, James Tyrone Lewis, and a sister, Patricia Ann Collins. Surviving are his wife, Kim Miller Edmonds; two daughters, Ashley D. Edmonds and Ann D. L. Edmonds; a son, John W. Edmonds, III; his mother, Mrs. Mildred A Edmonds; two brothers, Curtis L. Lewis, Jr. and Michael Porter; two sisters, Cynthia C. Edmonds and Janet Johnson; grandson. Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Bob White Boulevard Church of God, Bob White Blvd., Pulaski, Va. with the Rev. J. T. Horton officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Magazine Street. The remains will lay in state at First Baptist Church, Magazine Street from 10 a.m. Friday morning until time of the visitation. Burial will be at Pinehurst born Feb. 1, 1922 in Pulaski County, Va. to the late Amberse and Lucy Jane Dalton Phillips. Construction for the U.S. Government Civilian Conservation Corps was his first professional job in 1927. Mr. Phillips was drafted by the Air Force and served three years and thirty-seven days in Europe. After honorably serving, he returned to Draper, Va. to work for RCA. He and his family moved to High Point in 1951. Mr. Phillips was an owner, Vice-President, and General Manager of Manufacturing for the Spox Company, a division of Casard Furniture Company. After retirement from The Spox Company, he was owner and President of Phillips Furniture in High Point.
He was a charter member of The American Businessmen Club. Mr. Phillips was a devoted member of Hayworth Wesleyan Church and Building Believers Sunday School Class. He served as a member of The Wesleyan Christian Academy Board and held many offices within the Wesleyan Church. He was a charter member of The Wesleyan Men and was chosen Man of the Year in 1996. He was also awarded The Christian Service Award by Dr. Clyde Dupin of Clyde Dupin Ministries in 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Brown Phillips; two sons, Frederick E. Phillips and wife Mickey of Trinity, N. C.; David A. Phillips and wife Laura of High Point; daughter, Regina Phillips Jester and husband Ronald of Selmer, Tenn.; two step-sons, Elmore Alexander III and wife Pam of Philadelphia, Pa.; and Richard Alexander and wife Mary Louise of Arlington, Va.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, Perry Phillips, Sr. of High Point, N.C.; sister, Maggie Hancock of Draper.
Pallbearers to serve are Brant Jester, Adam Phillips, Stephen Alexander, Michael Alexander and Eric Alexander, Charles Schramm and Perry Phillips, Jr.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 2 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cumby Familydied early Friday morning Sept. 2, 2005 in the Pulaski Community Hospital.
