LILLIAN ELIZABETH ROBBINS GUARD
PULASKI – Lillian Elizabeth Robbins Guard, 63, of 16 3rd St. N.W., Apt. 3, Pulaski, born in Princeton, W. Va. on January 14, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Cecil Robbins.
She was also preceded in died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 17, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Murrell McClellan Chaffin. He was funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 319 Franklin Avenue, Pulaski, Va. 24301. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those who wish to make memorial contributions send them to Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church. The family would like to express a special gratitude to the many health care professionals and to Carilion Hospice Services for the wonderful care and attention they have provided.

DEVALL F. "JACK" GRAVELY
MAX MEADOWS - Devall F. "Jack" Gravely, age 77, of Max Meadows, Virginia, the Graham's Forge Community, born August 10, 1927, in Wythe County, son of the late Buford Foster and Lillie Hanes Gravely. He was retired from Volvo and was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Jack was preceded in Interment will follow in the Draper Valley Presbyterian Church passed away Friday, July 15, 2005, in Pulaski Community Hospital. Daughter of the late John H. and Rosanna George Dowd, she was death by her husband of 47 years, I.D. Long and by her sister Lois Livingston and her brothers Cole, Harvey, Edwin, Sease and Roy Dowd.
She is survived by her daughter Gayle Long of Pulaski. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her special companion Cricket.
After I.D. and Sarah moved to Pulaski from Columbia, S.C. in 1941 for war-related employment, they chose to make this area their permanent home. Sarah was employed by Dublin Bag Loading Plant, Electro-Plastics, Virginia Maid and Pulaski Apparel, from which she retired.
Sarah was an active Lutheran all her life and a faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pulaski. She served on the Evangelism Committee, was a member of the Mollie Keister Circle and participated in weekly Morning Prayer. Sara was well known for her good southern cooking as well as the abiding care and concern shown to her many neighbors and friends over the years.
Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunday, July 17, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Parking Lot Fund.

RONALD BRUCE SAYERS, SR.
MARTINSVILLE - Ronald Bruce Sayers, Sr., age 67, of 119 Roselawn Heights Martinsville, Virginia, born September 12, 1937, in Draper, Virginia to Francis Moorefield Sayers and Ephraim David Sayers. He was retired from the furniture industry and was a member of the Mayo Mountain Baptist Church.
Mr. Sayers was preceded in Interment will follow in the Memorial Christian Church passed away at his home on Thursday, July14, 2005 to go to his eternal reward. He was Interment will be private.

PULASKI - James Frederick "Jimmy" Tabor, 58, of 16 Third Street, NW, Apt. 3, Pulaski, Va., born in Radford, Va. on September 13, 1946 and was the son of the late Alfred James Tabor.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Friday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
