MIDWEST CITY, OK- Norma Leah O'Dell Myers of Midwest City, Oklahoma and formally of Hiwassee born in Pulaski County to the late Lula Galbreath and James Edgar O'Dell. She was preceded in passing; Jean Caraway and Pearl Maine.
Funeral Services were held July 6, 2005 with Cemetery.
PEAK, SARAH RUBY
PULASKI - Sarah Ruby Peak, 79, of Pulaski born in Pulaski County on May 27, 1926 and was the daughter of the Late Melvin C. and Ellen A. Peak. She was also preceded in Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Memorial Christian Church passed away Thursday, July 7, 2005 at Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Long was death by three sons, James Long, Jr., Larry Long and Mike Jones, and a sister, Ruth Long Crump.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Daniels Long of Charlotte, NC; children, Allen Long II of Gastonia, NC, Linda Long and Marie Long, both of Richmond, Brenda Haywood of Rock Hill, SC, William Jones of Kannapolis, Tony Long of Charlotte, NC, Ada Long-Hart of Lincolnton, NC, Tim Long, John Long and Charles Long, all of Charlotte; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Long Rayley of Monroe, NC and Lula Long Hollins of Radford.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2005 at the North Union Church of God.
Arrangements were in the care of Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service in Matthews, NC.

WHITNEY, LOIS JACKSON
FRONT ROYAL, VA - Lois Jackson Whitney, 93, of Front Royal, Va., formerly of Fairfax, Va., born Dec. 8, 1911, in Abingdon, Va., daughter of the late Minter and Martha Morgan Jackson. She was a retired teacher with a master's degree in history. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, the Salvation Army Auxiliary, and a Northern Virginia Literacy Council volunteer. She was a member of the Fairfax Presbyterian Church and was death by brothers, Robert, Sidney, Clarence, Glenn, Walter and Julian Fanning; a sister, Nancy Fanning French; her husband of 57 years, Thomas C. Huddle and her son Ronnie C. Huddle.
Surviving are two grandchildren, David A. Huddle, Seattle, Wash. and Karla H. Branham, Fort Knox, Ky.; six great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; four great-great nieces and nephews, and two special friends, Lydia and Trudy French, Dublin.
Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, at the Mausoleum at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Funeral and committal services will be at 11 a.m. in the Mausoleum. Rev. Randy Winn of First Christian Church, Pulaski, will conduct the service.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Christian Men's Fellowship of the First Christian Church, Pulaski.

PULASKI - Gilbert Carson East, 73, of 3220 Schrader Hill Road, Pulaski, Va. born in Snowville, Va. on April 17, 1932, and was the son of the late Guy Columbus East and Ethel Thornton East. He was also preceded in passed away Saturday, July 9, 2005.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday 5:00 PM at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Memorial Drive, Pulaski with Rev. Randall Creger and Dr. C. R. Conner officiating. Internment will follow at Swecker Family Cemetery, (Patterson) Wythe County.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 PM at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. The family will also meet friends this afternoon at the home of Chasity and Chris Stevens, 821 North Jefferson Avenue, Pulaski from 2 to 5 PM.
