Trueheart, four sons, Rudolph, Lester, Thomas and Billy Jr. Trueheart, one daughter, Nancy Mae Trueheart, brother, Lewis T. Hall, one sister, Alice P. Reed. She leaves to cherish her memory two “devoted” daughters, Eva D. Trueheart, Brenda Jones, Dublin; five sons, Billy Trueheart, Dublin, Garland Trueheart, Pulaski, Joseph Trueheart, Sr., Draper, George Trueheart, Pulaski, Michael Trueheart, Draper; one half-sister, Edith Holmes, Roanoke; seven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the Randolph Avenue United Methodist Church with the Rev. Leroy Henry officiating. NEW RIVER – Governor Shead Stigger, Jr., age 37 of Fallen Branch Road, New River, departed this life on Sunday evening, August 8, 2004. He was Interment will be at New River passed away Sunday, August 8, 2004.
He was death by his parents and a brother, John David Hensdill. He retired after 38 * years of service as a computer programmer with ALTESS, formerly known as RDAISA, Department of the Army. Survivors include his wife Betty Hensdill of Radford; children, Denise Colantoni of Chantilly, Va.; Deanna Franklin of Covington, Ga.; Jamie Sayers of Lexington, N.C.; Darryl Hensdill of Radford; Tammy Helms of Pulaski; Christy Krafft of Radford; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Carlson of Abingdon, Jeweldine Hodges of Castlewood and Earnestine Castle of Erwin, Tenn.; a brother, Dennis Hensdill of Castlewood. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Horne Funeral Home. CHRISTIANSBURG - Kenneth William Egbert, 92, of Christiansburg, passed away Thursday August 5th, 2004. Lawson was death.
He is survived by his wife Joann Morrell Lawson and mother Helen Henley Lawson, both of Pulaski; sons and daughters-in-law Thurman “Lil Sam” Lawson, Jr. and Mary Robin of Blountville, Tennessee and Alan Lawson and Dona Jones of Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law Missy and Terry Nester of Austinville and Louise and David Feeser of Waxahachie, Texas; sisters Ethel Martin of Barren Springs, Becky Clark of Severn, Maryland, Charlotte Alexander of Hiwassee, and Ruby Andrews of Pulaski; brother Matthew “Monk” Lawson of Severn, Maryland; and grandchildren Brittany nester, Elizabeth Feeser, Joshua Nester, Kayla Lawson, Hannah Feeser, Leighanna Garland/Lawson and Jesse Garland/Lawson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Bower Funeral Chapel in Pulaski with Captain David Feeser officiating. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.

DUBLIN – Carrie Hailey Lathom, age 96 of Dublin, passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday August 6, 2004. death by her husband, Paul Lathom, three brothers, George Elbert, Arvel, and Bill Hailey, three sisters, Mary Schrader, Nelle Douglass, and Virginia Burch, and a son, Charles Donald Lathom. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Barbara & Houston Wingo, Sr. of Dublin, and one daughter-in-law, Sue Lathom of Kannapolis, N.C. Also survived by 5 grandsons: Paul Lathom and his wife Gayle of Concord, N.C., Charles “Chuck” Lathom and his wife Nora of Kannapolis, and Doug Lathom and his wife Tammie of Kannapolis, James “Jim” Casteele and his wife Sherry of Pulaski, and Kirk Casteele of Floyd; two granddaughters: Judy Casteele of Buena Vista, Va., and Jean Casteele Berryman and her husband George of Moyock, N.C.; 6 great grandsons, and 4 great granddaughters. BLUEFIELD, W. VA. – Shirley Bowman Browning, 59, of 2413 Grassy Branch Road, Bluefield, W. Va., Born May 20, 1945 in Bluefield, W. Va. she was a daughter of the late Emory Bowman and Anna Mae Bowman Whitt.
In addition to her father she was preceded in passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004 at the Pulaski Community Hospital.

OWEN CLEVELAND ALLEY
PULASKI - Owen Cleveland Alley, age 74 of Pulaski, Born May 24, 1930 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Nellie Sutphin Alley and Leonard “Lynn” Alley. He was a retired employee of Magnox and a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean Conflict, a member of the Pulaski V.F.W., and was a member of the Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery where the V.F.W. Post 1184 will conduct military graveside rites. Visiting will be anytime Wednesday after 2 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, but for those who wish, they may make memorial contributions in the memory of Mr. Alley to the Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church.
