PULASKI – David Charles Lonyo age 49 of 339 North Jefferson Avenue and formerly of Detroit, Mich. Born April 5, 1955 in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Andrew Willard Lonyo and Maida Emma Lewis Lonyo. Two sisters, Mary Ann Crambett and Beverly Louise Lonyo, also preceded him in Cemetery, Detroit, Mich.
Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
OWEN C. ALLEY
PULASKI – Owen C. Alley, 74, of Pulaski, born in Wythe County on April 15, 1928 and he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson (Andy) Quesenberry and Maude Gravley Quesenberry. He was also preceded in Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church died peacefully, Thursday, July 29, 2004 surrounded by the embracing love of her Lord and family. She was death by her husband of 44 years Ira Wayne Mann.
Charlotte attended King College in Bristol, TN, She was a longtime faithful member of Northside Presbyterian Church where she was an active participant. The members of Northside were truly her church family and her family would like to thank them for their kindness and faithfulness to Charlotte to the end of her life.
She is survived by her sons; Mark W. Mann of Blowing Rock, NC, Joel W. Mann and his wife Crystal of Burlington, a granddaughter Jessica Michelle Mann of Burlington, a sister Nancy G. Crowder and her husband Leroy of Orange, VA, several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service 11:00 AM Saturday, July 31, 2004 at Alamance Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Jim Mitchell. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the residence.
NAOMI ELOISE MITCHELL GRUBB
PULASKI – Naomi Eloise Mitchell Grubb, age 85 of 832 Pepper Street, Pulaski Born Feb. 26, 1919 in Pulaski she was the daughter of the late Woodson Clay and Ingledove Quesenberry Mitchell. She was an employee at Jefferson Mills, the former Sadler Hosiery Mill, Virginia Maid and the Bag Loading Plant.
Surviving are: her husband of 55 years, William Herbert Grubb, Pulaski; daughters, Linda and husband Larry O’Dell, Salem, Barbara Fincher, LaVernia, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Cate, Christopher O’Dell, Julie Sherrill and husband, Keith Sherrill; great grandchild, Ryan Sherrill; sister, Bessie Largen, Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Wilfred Overton officiating. death Sunday, July 25, 2004, at Carilion NRV Medical Center, Radford. She was death she experienced will be no more. Her desire was that even in passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2004.

IRA C. COLLINS
WAR - Rev. Ira C. Collins of War, formerly of Danville, Va., born at Princeton and was the son of the late Creed Collins and Frances Linkous Collins. He had made his home in War for the past eight years, before that 15 years in the Danville area. He was a retired pastor for over 50 years with the Church of God in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. He was a member of the War Church of God at War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2004. He was death by a sister, Janice Cadene Funk. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Morris Funk; daughter, Ashleigh Louise Funk of Durham, NC; son, Adam Chrisman Funk of Lexington, GA; sister, Naomi Funk Conner, Stuart, VA; brother, Larry Christman Funk, Burlington, NC. John retired from the State of Virginia where he worked as a licensing inspector and in various mental health facilities. In lieu of flowers and a memorial service, the family encourages individuals to take time to donate blood (1-800-GIVE-LIFE) and/or platelets (1-866-353-1030). CHRISTIANSBURG - Vashti Reed Chandler, 91 of Christiansburg death by her husband; Reginald F. Chandler, sister; Effie Bannick, brother; Simon Reed, and her nephew; Wendell Reed. She is survived by her niece and and her spouse; Jo Anne and George Terry of Roanoke, nephew; Freddie Bannick of Alaska, and his daughter; Jennifer Rhinhart of Alaska, inlaw; Barbara Reed of Roanoke, special friends; Julie Crouch, her daughters; Kalah Crouch both of Dublin, Candace Crouch and Amanda Crouch Finkbeiner both of Great Falls, Montana Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Monday, July 26, 2004 at The Horne Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday evening. The funeral servie will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at The Pulaski First Church of The Brethren, Cemetery in Christiansburg. The Chandler family is being served by Hornedied Thursday, July 22, 2004. She was death by two sisters, Elizabeth Richardson Robertson and Lucille Richardson Slusher and by her mother-in-law, Barbara Harkgrader.
Surviving are: her husband, Curtis Clayton Sifford, Dublin; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jimmy Turner, Fla.; grandson, William Bronson Dalton, Fla.; sisters and brother-in-law, Terrie and John Sink, Dublin, Irene Wright, Marion; four sisters-in-law and spouses, Ella and George Page, Martha “Tiny” Reed, Eunice and Speedy Montgomery, Judy and Ray Fletcher; many special friends; her loving dog Cinnamon.
Cemetery. Visiting will be Saturday evening from Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. The family will be meeting at the residence of the sister and brother-in-law, Terrie and John Sink, 6735 Ruebush Road, Dublin, Va.
