ALICE ALLEY TILLER
COUNCIL, VA. – Mrs. Alice Alley Tiller, age 63, of Council, Va., Born Sept. 3, 1941 in Cucumber, W. Va. she was a daughter of the late George Washington and Alexis Rose Alley. She had spent most of her life in the area and was a member of the Hurricane Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in Interment will follow in Frank Smith passed away on Oct. 5, 2004 in Roanoke, Va. She was preceded in passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. She was an employee of Poly-Scientific.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Chandler of Radford; two daughters, Heather Lee Hutchison of Riner and Leslie Anne Gilbert of Radford; her parents, Irvin Willard and Norma Jean Viars Perdue of Wilmington, NC; two sisters, Teresa Orange and Lori Anne Orange, all of Radford; and a brother, David Perdue of Riner.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Greg Webb officiating. As per Mrs. Chandler’s request she will be cremated following the service. The family requests that flowers be OMITTED and contributions be made to American Liver Foundation, 7410 Georgia Ave, NW. Suite 4, Washington, DC, 20012 The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

DONALD DELANEY "DON" GRUBB
WYTHEVILLE - Donald Delaney "Don" Grubb, age 68 of Wytheville, Va., death by his father, Sidney Grubb; two sons, David Grubb and infant Donnie Grubb; and a sister, Nancy.

Mr. Grubb was a former employee of the Town of Wytheville water department.

He is survived by his wife, Dora W. Grubb; his mother, Georgia Grubb; one son, Danny Grubb, all of Wytheville; three stepchildren, Robin, Joey and Shirley. He is also survived by five brothers, Dave Grubb of Sebastian, FL; Floyd "Butch" Grubb of Wytheville; Charles Grubb of Bristol, VA; Kenneth Grubb of Shipman, VA; and Jackie Grubb of Massie Mill, VA.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 10, 2004 at 8 p.m. in the Barnett Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 11, 2004 at 11 a.m. in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat. The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home Sunday form 6 p.m. until service time or at the residence at any time. The family suggests that those who prefer may make memorial donations to the family.

Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va., is in charge of arrangements.

LILLY MAE LONG TABOR
RADFORD – Lilly Mae Long Tabor, age 62 formerly of 3001 Mt. Olivet Road Community and currently of Randolph Street, Radford Born Feb. 5, 1942 in Pulaski she was the daughter of the late Julius Woolen and Callie Belle Brewer Long.

She was also preceded in Interment will follow at the Hufford died Friday morning October 8, 2004 at his residence. death by three sisters; Melissa Rorrer, Mary Sue Cox, and Dinna Hash. He is survived by his wife, Patricia B. Cox of Dublin; one son; Edward Matthew Cox, Jr. of the home; one daughter; Jessica Lanette Cox of the home; his mother Lillie A. Cox of Pulaski; two brothers; Tony Cox of Pulaski, Rusty Cox of Hillsville; two sisters; Nyoca Reed of Richmond and Joyce Roseberry of Pulaski. Also survived by a special niece Teresa Trinkle, special brother-in-law; Larry Burton, and special friends Sophie and Jimmy Mitchell. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday October 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood called home on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2004. God Born Mar. 13, 1943 with down’s syndrome and mental retardation, she fought many battles. When you would visit, she would say, Baby I want to go home. She won the victory, and baby, she is home.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her niece and guardian, Rev. Zetta Davis-Lovern and Donnie, Dublin; great nephew, Billy Eugene Davis, Jr. and Karen Davis and children, Brittany and Billy Davis, III, Radford; nephews, Mr. Levi Browning, Palatka, Fla., Mr. Gratton and Diane Browning, Floyd, Rev. Dennis and Diane Hutchison, Blacksburg, Mr. Michael and Barbara Hutchison, Galax; niece, Myra and Junior Smith, Floyd.

Homegoing celebration will be conducted Friday 2 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Marcus Harrison officiating. passed away on Oct. 17, 2004 at the Richfield Nursing Home where she had been a resident since 1999.

Mrs. Haynes was married to Pete Haynes from Macon, Ga. who preceded her in death were Chauncey D. Harmon, Sr., Wilmer R. Harmon, and Lilita Robinson. Margaret is survived by one brother George E. Harmon, Brentwood, N.Y., two sisters Anna Bell Harmon Pinkney , Los Angeles, Calif., DeLois Harmon Wilson, Roanoke, Va.

Funeral services will be held at The Penn Funeral Home, Pulaski on Friday at 1 p.m. Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the Pinehurst passed away on October 18, 2004 at his home while holding hands with his wife and stepdaughter. Bill was the son of the late Von W. and Hallie Moody of Pulaski, Va. He was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law Von W., Jr. and Sue Moody; a nephew, Bill Dean Moody; and a father and mother-in-law who dearly loved him, Floyd and Mildred Meador of Hardy, Va.

Bill served his country in the United States Navy before returning home to attend school and graduate from The University of Richmond. Professionally, he served as President of Moody and Bullington, Realtors, while working for more than forty years in the mortgage banking and real estate industries. He was Past President of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors; Past Director of the Virginia Association of Realtors; Affiliate member of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors (Affiliate Member of the Year-1992); and Past Associate Member of the Roanoke Regional Homebuilders. Bill also gave his time by serving on many committees, notably for: the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors; various church committees at Unity Church of Roanoke Valley and also at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church; Festival in the Park; and The Miss Roanoke Valley Scholarship Program. Bill loved to take trips to the beach with his golfing buddies and his family. His joy of being outdoors, with all of God’s creations, will be especially remembered by his hunting friends.

Bill is survived by his wife of 14 wonderful years, Linda M. Moody; his loving, devoted and cherished stepdaughter, Amanda S. Delong, Atlanta, Ga.; his son and daughter-in-law Bill and Kathy Moody, Troutville, Va.; a niece, Suzanne (Lynn) Willhite, Kennesaw, Ga.; two nephews Von Moody III (Buck) (BJ), Charlotte, N.C. and Ricky (Martha) Moody, Pulaski, Va.; as well as by a number of great nieces, nephews and cousins. A very special friend of 40 years, Joseph Reed and family of Roanoke, Va., and a host of other business and social friends, as well as wonderful neighbors have been a huge part of Bill’s life over the years.

Many thanks to all of Bill’s friends and family over the last months during his illness. His family would like to thank Dr. Mark Currie, Ruth Ann, his special girlfriends in the infusion department and the entire oncology department at the Lewis Gale Clinic, Dr. Milton Miller and Mrs. Britt. Also a very special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Oakey’s South (4257 Brambleton Avenue SW, Roanoke, Va.). A celebration of his life will be at Oakey’s South 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Oakey’s South Chapel, Roanoke, Va.
