The burial will follow in Forest Lawn passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at her home. She was death by her husband, Tyler S. Harrell; a daughter, Janice Elaine Harrell; a brother, Ira (Gus) Smith. She is survived by a son, Clarence T. (Tinker) Harrell, Dublin; a daughter, Doris Harrell, Dublin; two sisters, Margaret and husband, Robert Jones of Poplar Hill; Alena G. Stoots of Pulaski; two grandchildren, Chris and Crystal Harrell; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Harrell, Brittany, Marcus and Jadaeon Payne. Several nieces and nephews.

DRAPER – Charlene Delano Mikrut, age 71, of Draper, Va. born in Pulaski, Va., daughter of the late Clarence and Mattie Crigger Ridner. She was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church.
Surviving are: her husband, John Mikrut, Draper; three daughters, Linda Rosinski, Hammond, Ind., Dorothy Smith, Parsippany, N.J., Maria Mikrut, Draper; five sons, Lindgergh Belcher, North Ft. Myers, Fla., Leslie Belcher, Lehigh Acres, Fla., Larry Belcher, Seneca, S.C., Lyle Belcher, Walhalla, S.C., John Mikrut, Trenton, N.J.; four sisters, Frances Sagsveen, Grand Forks, N.D., Julia Peterson, Minot, N.D., Sally Paiva and Joan Ridner, both of Milford, Pa.; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

DUBLIN – Roy Lee Hurst, 78, of 313 Galaway Avenue, Dublin, Va. born in Hiwassee, Va., July 30, 1926 and was the son of the late Reason Vinson Hurst and Mabel Landreth Hurst. He was a member of the Max Creek Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hurst was a retired carpenter.
Surviving are: his wife Agnes Louise Hurst, Dublin; sons, Gordon Hurst, Hiwassee, David Hurst, Pulaski County, Gene Hurst, Pulaski County; daughters, Marie Duncan, Dallas, N.C., Sherry Vines, Richmond, Va.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

RACHEL “ELAINE” WARD SCOTT
LANHAM, MD. – Rachel “Elaine” Ward Scott, age 87, formerly of Pulaski, Va. departed this life on Nov. 20, 2004 in Lanham, Md. She was married the late Wilbur Scott in 1955. While in Washington, Elaine worked for the government as a supervisor in the Pentagon. She retired in 1990 after 27 years of devoted service. She was a former member of Clark’s Chapel Methodist Church in Pulaski. She leaves to cherish her memory, her cousin, Leon Clark of Pulaski; and a host of relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m. at Randolph Avenue United Church with Rev. Leroy Henry officiating.
