PULASKI - Ola Maude Kress Wright, 87, of Pulaski, Va. born on Feb. 26, 1918 in Carroll County and was the daughter of the late Robert Seymore Kress and Laura Parks Kress. She was also preceded in Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Tuesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.

STAUNTON, VA - Pauline (Keister) Riggle, 85, widow of Craig Steele Riggle, formerly of Campbell Street, Staunton, born August 6, 1919 in New River, a daughter of Miles Alexander and Nannie (Brooks) Keister. Pauline was formerly employed at Raflo's in Pulaski. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Pulaski. In addition to her husband, who death by three brothers, Elbert Keister, W. W. Keister, and Harmon Keister; and four sisters, Bertha Keister, Margaret Keister, Geraldine Proffitt, and Judith Bocock.
Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth L. and Peg Riggle of Staunton; a sister, Mildred Chumbley; and a sister-in-law, Mary Riggle, both of Pulaski.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (May 25, 2005) in the Mausoleum Chapel of Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, VA followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. conducted by the Revs. John Ashley and Donald Long.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. this evening (May 24, 2005) in the Henry Funeral Home.

PULASKI - Helen Slaughter Bishop, 88 of Pulaski Born October 18, 1916 in Pulaski she was the daughter of the late Cenie Hale Slaughter and John William Slaughter. Mrs. Bishop was preceded in Cemetery with Dr. C. R. Conner officiating. Visiting will be anytime after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas M. BILLIE J. WYATT
HENRICO COUNTY, VA. – Billie J. Wyatt, 88, the widow of J. Paul Wyatt, of Henrico County, Va., departed this life May 21, 2005. Billie’s 43 years of teaching started in a one room school house in Wise County, and she retired after 26 years in the Henrico County School system. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Harold Wood; her granddaughter and husband, Pattie and Marbury Fagan; her grandson and wife, Bob and Neila Wood; and her grandson and wife, Tim and Jessica Wood. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 23, from 6-8 p.m. at the Chesterfield Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Parkway, where a funeral will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, in the chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, Va.

SUE DEAN SONNER
Sue Dean Sonner, 50, a resident of 107-D Foster Street, born March 26, 1955 in Wythe County, Virginia, a daughter of Cloyd Dean and Lessie Alley Dean. She was a certified nursing assistant and was formerly employed with Liberty Wood Nursing Center.
Surviving are her husband, Leonard Sonner, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Lisa Gregory of Max Meadows, Virginia; a son, Doug Smith of Thomasville; four sisters, Mae Quesenberry of Draper, VA, Frances Sutphin of Hillsville, VA, Willie Sonner of Pulaski, VA, and Ruth Ann Dean of Wytheville, VA; two brothers, Andrew Dean and Billy Dean, both of Austinville, VA and four grandchildren.

DALLAS EVERETTE CARICO
DRAPER - Dallas Everette Carico, 79, of Draper, went to be with our Lord, May 19, 2005. Dallas served in the Army/Air Corp during World War II. A Virginia Tech alumni, he was the president and owner of Fort Chiswell Construction from 1966 to 1995. He was a partner of the Draper Valley Golf Club. Dallas was a member of the Draper Valley Presbyterian Church.
He was a gracious and loving husband and father who is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Hill Carico; five children, Thesa Spraker, Tijuana Odum, Duane Carico of Max Meadows, Dallas Carico of South Carolina and Cara Lyles of Maryland; nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Draper valley Presbyterian Church. cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.

DUBLIN - Eston Junior Linkous, age 79, of Dublin, death by his wife, Orpha H. Linkous, a brother, Watman Linkous and a sister, Lottie Price.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jackie E. and Virginia Linkous; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra A. and Archie H. Sumner; two grandsons and two brothers, Harold Linkous, Earl Mosby Linkous. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Monday evening at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Layne Board officiating with Cemetery. The Linkous family is being served by Hornepassed away Friday, May 20, 2005 at the New River Valley Medical Center. He was a retired crane operator with Alliant Tech. He was U. S. Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam War, he was preceded in passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was a member of Belmont Christian Church and a U. S. Air Force veteran. He was preceded in Interment will follow in West View died Monday afternoon Jan. 24, 2005 in the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was death by a brother, O’dell Dunford.
Surviving are: her husband, Harry Dunford, Pulaski; daughters and son-in-law, Robyn Barnes, Kingsport, Tenn., Kay and Leslie Worrell, Draper; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lee Wolfe, Pulaski; sisters and brother-in-law, Nadine Dean, Max Meadows, Audrey and Dicky Semones, Richmond; brothers and sisters-in-law, Woodrow “Woody” and Cleo Dunford, Greensboro, N.C., Elmer “E.J.” and June Dunford, Rural Retreat, Donald and Nancy Dunford, Rural Retreat, Larry and Janet Dunford, Max Meadows; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

PULASKI - Sgt. William Raymond Parks, 90, of 4518 Old Tavern Road, Pulaski born in Grayson County, Va. on Sept. 3, 1914 and was the son of the late William Ellis Parks and Zina Cornett Parks. He was also preceded in Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Dublin United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Ronald Parks, Sue Hubble and Rev. Mike Travis officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin. Visiting will be Friday morning at the church where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to the Building Fund at the Dublin United Methodist Church.
