PULASKI - Martin Mack Dutton, age 87 formerly of 1501 Grove Drive, Pulaski Born December 6, 1917 in Grosclose, Virginia, he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Dutton & Nancy Wade Southern Dutton. Three brothers, Clifford Dutton, Fred Dutton, Charles Dutton, and one son-in-law, Andrew Williams preceded him in Interment will follow at the Oakwood death by her husband, Frank L. Harris, a son, Ronald L. Harris, a brother, Lacy Pannell, and a sister, Irene Richards. Survivors include a son, Freddie Harris of Radford; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Roop and Evelyn Richards, both of Radford. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radford Worship Center with Rev. Glennard Quesenberry officiating. died Sunday January 30, 2005 at Pulaski Health & Rehabilitation Center. death by a brother, Donald Lommatzsch. She is survived by her husband, James Conrad Dawson of Pulaski. 1 son; D. Alan Martin of Floyd, Va.: two sisters; Dolores Rutkowski of Buffalo, Wyoming, & Thelma Hollahan & her husband Don of Sun Lakes, AZ: Also survived by 3 grandchildren: Todd Martin and his wife Coleen, Kevin Martin and his wife Glenda, & Scott Martin & his wife Dawn: 2 great grandchildren; Savannah & Sydney Martin. Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 1, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home. Cemetery in Livingston County, IL. DUBLIN - Imogene Shelton Mabe, age 67 of 5453 Mitchell Drive, Dublin Born August 27, 1937 in Hiwassee (Max Creek Community), she was the daughter of the late Rev. John Elmer Shelton and Lummie Largen Shelton. One sister, Pauline Landreth and two brothers, Hoover Shelton and Moody Shelton, also preceded her in interment will be held Tuesday morning at the Draper Valley Pentecostal Church passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005.

PULASKI – Charles Edward Bruce, age 59 of 817 Highland Terrace, Pulaski, departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005. He was death by one brother, James Richard Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mary E. Bruce of Pulaski; three sisters, Patricia Bruce, Pulaski, Jackie B. Holmes, Atlanta, Ga., Sharon B. Harvey, Dublin; two brothers, Larry D. Bruce and James C. Bruce, both of Pulaski; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 29, 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Magazine Street, Pulaski, Va. with Reverend Roberta Carter officiating. Burial will be in Pinehurst passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at her home in Hiwassee. She was a member of Cornersview Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in Interment will follow in the Pentecostal Conference passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Hager of New River, and Sheila Sowers of Dublin; two sons, Francis Kent Nester of Christiansburg, and John David Nester of Pulaski; a step-daughter , Joyce Hale of Floyd; three brothers , David Saul of Radford, Leon Saul of Matewan, WV, and Donald Ray Saul of Ohio; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. T. Michael Bond officiating. Cemetery in Radford. DUBLIN – Myrtle Dillon Slaughter, 76 of Collier St. in Dublin, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon June 28, 2005 at Pulaski Community Hospital in Pulaski. death by her first husband Harry Burton Hill, sisters Alice Gillespie and Loraine Gordon, a brother Eddie Dillon, and a step-daughter Mozelle S. Gilkerson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Sagle Slaughter, three daughters Sharon Hill Vess of Taylorsville, N.C., Patricia Hill Moody of Roanoke, Sheila Hill Dillon of Cordova, Tenn.; a step daughter Jean Ann Cook of Pulaski; four step-sons Elliott Slaughter of Dublin, Joseph Slaughter of Ohio, Timothy Slaughter of Pennsylvania, Grant Slaughter of Pulaski; grandsons Derek Vess, Aaron Vess and Christopher Dillon, three great-grandchildren; sixteen step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; two brothers Malon Herbert Dillon of Narrows and Virgil Dillon of Fairmont, W. Va.; three sisters Louise Hardage of Greensboro, N.C., Nancy McKnight of Akron, Ohio and Juanita Lundie of Apollo, Pa.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Airport Road in Roanoke at 1 p.m. Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
