PULASKI - Anne M. Taylor, age 88 of 2901 Mt. Olivet Road, Pulaski Born November 16, 1916 in Wythe County, Va. she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lula Copeland. Two sisters, Ida Sawyer, Gertrude Davidson and one brother, Edgar Copeland also preceded her in died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 in Wheatland Hills Retirement Center. She was preceded in Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parrott United Methodist Church or the Sifford died Wednesday, June 22, 2005. He is survived by his son, Lloyd H. "Chip" Byrd, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth; his brother, James L. Byrd and his wife, Shirley; and a special friend, Harriette Ferguson. MARTHA SAUL SUTPHIN
DUBLIN - Martha Saul Sutphin, age 81 of Dublin, Born June 11, 1924 in Pulaski Co., she was the daughter of the late Florida Gray Saul and John T. Saul. She was a member of the Morgans Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in Cemetery, with the Rev. John Grimm officiating. The family will receive friends briefly following the service at the passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at his home. death. A member of the Power of Deliverance Ministries (Radford) he was a veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving are: his wife, Mildred Thompson Simpkins, Pulaski; daughters and son-in-law, Sharri Lynn Colvin, Christiansburg, Melissa Ann Thompson, Hampton, Carol Jean & Eddie Anderson - Pulaski; son, Douglas Edward Simpkins - Liberal, Kan.; brother, Coy Simpkins, Christiansburg; sister, India Azelene Simpkins, Snowville; grandchildren, Brett Allen Colvin, Corey Aaron Colvin, Brittany Rene' Anderson, Chelsea Dianne Anderson, Sabrina Ann Reid, Cassie Gravely Burnette, Candace Gravely.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Power of Deliverance Ministries (6545 Lee Highway, Radford) with Sister Delores Shelton officiating. died early Wednesday morning, June 22, 2005 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. She was death by seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving are: her companion, Thomas "Red" French, Pulaski; daughter, Brenda Smith, Pulaski; sons, Dean Simpkins, Draper, Mike Simpkins, Draper; grandchildren, Andrea S. Sullivan, Joshua Simpkins, Jamie Simpkins; sisters, Clara Quesenberry, Pulaski, Norma Quesenberry, Richmond; brother, Charles Gallimore, Wytheville.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Peak Creek Mission of Prayer Church with Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the church passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at his home.
Arrangements are pending at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.

DUBLIN - Michael Christopher Sowers, 20 of Dublin, death by his father, Michael Ray Sowers.
Survivors include his mother, Debbie Owens Sowers of Dublin; a sister, Michelle Gallimore of Pulaski; two nephews; maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother and grandfather and many more relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 24, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Snowville Baptist Church with Rev. Neil Wood officiating. Cemetery in Hiwassee.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
JOE DANIEL GOODWIN
WADESBORO - Mr. Joe Daniel Goodwin, 60, of Charlotte and formerly of Dublin, Va., born in Scotland County, N.C. February 10, 1945 a son of the late Vernon Benjamin and Anna Allen Goodwin, and was reared in Anson County, N.C.
Joe is survived by a son, Joe Hinkley of Dublin; sisters, Ann Allen Ratliff and Barbara Goodwin Dillard both of Charlotte; brother, James V. Goodwin , Albemarle; several nieces and nephews.
The Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will meet friends tonight (Wednesday) from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.
RUBY D. DUNFORD
PULASKI - Ruby D. Dunford, 63, of 956 Baywood Street, Pulaski born in Wythe County on June 26, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Herman Dunford and Stella Isom Dunford. She was also preceded in Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Hoover and Pastor Daniel Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Christian Church died Monday night Jan. 24, 2005 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was death by a son, Travis Parks of York, Pa. He was a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church and he was a veteran having served during World War II in the United States Army Medical Corp. in Europe and Japan.
Surviving are: his wife, Evelyn A. Parks, Pulaski; brother, Millard Parks, Galax; grandchildren, Rev. Dr. Ronald Parks, Scott Parks, Mindy Parks; great-grandchildren, Dylon Parks, Ian Parks.
Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin. Visiting will be Friday morning at the church where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to the Building Fund at the Dublin United Methodist Church.
