DAVID EUGENE EDMONDS
PULASKI – David Eugene Edmonds, 73, of Pulaski, born on May 3, 1931 in Akron, Ohio and was the son of the late Lonnie Ernest Edmonds and Margaret Ann Nelson Edmonds. He was also preceded in died Saturday, Mar. 19, 2005 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. She was death by a brother Dallas Lee Turpin and by her husband of 37 years, Theodore James Cox.
Surviving are: her sons and daughter-in-law, Dean “Kit” and Garda Cox, Pulaski, Va., Ted Cox, Pulaski, Va.; grandchildren, Dena and Stuart Radcliffe, Charlotte, N.C., T. J. Cox, Norfolk, Va., Kelli Cox, Pulaski, Va.; great-granddaughters, Amanda Radcliffe, Charlotte, N.C., Morgan Radcliffe, Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Violet Cox, Hiwassee, Va., Beulah Browdy, Fairlawn, Va.; and other loving family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Mar. 22, 2005, at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Dr. Randy Frye and Pastor Terry Sternburg officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View United Methodist Church passed away Friday March 18, 2005 at Pulaski Health & Rehab Center, Pulaski, VA. death by his wife Wilma Page Carter. Survivors include three sons, Robert S. Carter and wife Doris of LasVegas, NV., Roy L. Carter and wife Joan of Dublin, VA., Dan M. Carter and wife Pat of Winchester, VA., three daughters, Elizabeth Hamblin and husband Junior, Barbara Melvin and Phyllis Bessler all of Dublin, VA., one brother, Wayne Carter of Tennessee, one sister Irene Ensler of Mercer, PA., thirteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 22, 2005 at the Grace Baptist Church in Dublin, VA., with Rev. Robert Martin and Pastor Murray Agee officiating. Burial will follow at the Carter Family passed away Saturday, March 19, 2005. He attended Central United Methodist Church. He was a retired electronics engineer having worked for GE in Lynchburg for 17 years, then later he was involved in the design of the guidance system of the cruise missile, and until the last 3 months was a electronics inspector involved in the war effort in the manufacture of Red Cross field hospital shelters used in Iraq and Afghanistan a veteran of the US Air Force having served in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where Members of Virginia May Masonic Lodge #92 A.F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Leukemia Society of America, c/o the Virginia Chapter, 2101 Executive Drive, Box 21, Hampton, VA 23226. CORENE CECIL TAYLOR
DUBLIN - Corene Cecil Taylor, age 84 of Dublin Born April 9, 1920 in Oneida, Tenn. she was the daughter of the late Jerome & Cordelia Cecil. Her husband of 66 years, James Burton Taylor preceded her in death.
They lived in Caretta, West Virginia for 43 years before retiring and moving to Dublin, Virginia in 1980. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing canasta, cooking and canning vegetables from their own garden.
She leaves behind two loving and devoted daughters Wanda Swecker and husband Lawrence Swecker, Beltsville, MD, Phyllis Dodson and fiance Tom Martin, Palm Beach Gardens, FL; four grandchildren, Randy Swecker and wife Leslie Swecker, Mt. Airy, MD , Karen Bonnin and husband Stephen Bonnin, LaPlata, MD, Steven Dodson and wife Mary Dodson, Naples, FL, Michael Dodson and wife Precious Dodson, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. four great grandchildren Emily Swecker, Nathan Bonnin, Nicole Bonnin and Victoria Dodson; sisters, Agnes Keller, Torrance, CA, Irene Martin - Cincinnati, OH, Gladys Foster, Cincinnati, OH.

DUBLIN - Bobby Randal Bowman, age 51 of 7071 Cleburne Blvd., Dublin Born October 16, 1953 in Pearisburg, Virginia he was the son of Dawn Vaughn Bowman and the late Rush Woodrow Bowman. One brother, Johnny Rush Bowman also preceded him in Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. DUBLIN - Clelia "Kat" Murphy Cyphers, 95, of Dublin, born on November 23, 1909 in Iaeger, W. Va., and was the daughter of the late Virginia and Columbus Murphy.
