DRAPER – Harry Thomas Nester, Sr. age 80 of Draper went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2005 from his home. He was death by his first wife, Edith Morris Woodyard. He was a member of the Church of The Living God, Little Creek.
He is survived by his wife, Betty M. Woodyard; four sons and daughters-in-law, Reford (Buddy) and Barbara Woodyard, Dublin; Albert Jr. and Eva Woodyard, Dublin; David and Brenda Woodyard, Dublin; Darrell and Vicky Woodyard, Dublin; six daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley Thompson, Christiansburg; Rita and Russell Gwaltney, Salem; Dreama Maxie, Dublin; Dulane and Jim Repass, Dublin; Mary and James Hash, Dublin; Deborah and Rev. Terry Mays, Ripplemead; two step-sons, Donald Elliott and wife, Elinda of Pearisburg; Dennis Elliott and wife, Barbara of Narrows; one sister, Hazel W. Combs, Dublin; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Clowers and Eula Mae Woodyard, Dublin; Carl and Mary Woodyard, Dublin; Allen and Patricia Woodyard, Dublin; Marie Woodyard, Dublin; Sharlene Woodyard, Dublin; Rose Woodyard Vest, Dublin; 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the French’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. David Butcher, Rev. John Hash and Rev. Tommy Ramsey officiating. Burial in the Hunter died Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Giles Memorial Hospital. He was Cemetery, Poplar Hill. Visitation will be at A. Vest and Sons Funeral Home on Monday after 1 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
JUDI ANNE KINGREA SHOCKLEY
PULASKI - Judi Anne Kingrea Shockley, age 57, of Pulaski, formerly of Floyd, born in Christiansburg to the late David and Ann Kingrea. She had a special love for family and friends, gardening and flowers. She was actively involved as a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pulaski. Her loving nature, caring and giving heart, sense of humor, and contagious smile will be greatly missed. During the past nine months of illness, she as been an inspiration to many. In addition to her parents she was preceded in Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. . TheShockley family is being served by Hornepassed away Thursday, Mar. 31, 2005. She was death by her husband, Perry James Parnell and a son, Donald Parnell.
She is survived by: two sons and daughter-in-law, Doug and Bernice Parnell of Richlands, Va., Clyde Parnell of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and John Hancock of Max Meadows, Va., Carolyn and Montie Jennings of Bastian, Va.; special family friend, Kathy Lovern; one sister, Alice Beasley of Austinville, Va.; nine grandchildren, Tony Parnell, Angela Parnell Farmer, Rhonda Parnell Blevins, Teressa Parnell Welch, Mark Spencer, David Spencer, Kevin Jennings, Monica Jennings Baker and Andrew Jennings; twelve great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jade Welch; Jordan and Jacob Parnell; Dustin and Zachary Farmer; Austin, Kelsey, Taylor and Evan Spencer; Meredith and Stone Spencer; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 3, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Pulaski Church of Christ with Mr. Dean Buchanan officiating. Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before service time. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Home or at the residence at any time. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
JENNIFER COFFEY DEAN
PULASKI - Jennifer Coffey Dean, 51, of 119 Pinnacle Street, Pulaski, born in Pulaski on May 26, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Hendrix Coffey and Daphne White Coffey. She was also preceded in Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be Sunday evening from the funeral home where the famil will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

THELMA DAVIS FRANKLIN
Thelma Davis Franklin, 95 of Radford, Interment will follow in the West View died Monday, Mar. 28, 2005, at his home. He was death by his wife, Barbara Sue Akers Crockett. Mr. Crockett moved to Florida in 2001 and was retired from Radford Army Ammunition Plant, Radford after 33 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Crockett was a member of Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pulaski and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Pulaski.
Surviving are: his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Randy Stafford, Odessa, Fla.; grandsons, Chris and Alex Stafford, Odessa, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Peggy Crockett, Stephensville, La., Charles R. Crockett, Pulaski, Va., Fred and Ruth Crockett, Christiansburg, Va.; sisters and brother-in-law, Ellen and Terry Bentley, Roanoke, Va., Leona Trail, Pulaski, Va.

ROYCE DANIEL ROSENBAUM
PULASKI – Royce Daniel Rosenbaum, death by his precious wife Farley Rosenbaum and brother Thomas Lee Rosenbaum. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post 1184, a former member of the Wurno Ruritan Club and was an employee of Jefferson Mills for 40 years having retired in 1985. He was one of the founders of the Jefferson Mills Rescue Squad which later became the Pulaski Rescue Squad. Royce had been a faithful member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Pulaski, since 1939. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and was devoted to his family and the Lord. He was blessed with many talents. He was a mechanic, electrician, carpenter, painter, gardener, plumber, and artist. One of his most beautiful paintings was of his Savior, Jesus Christ. His pride in life were his daughters, granddaughters, great-granddaughter, sons-in-laws and grandsons-in-law (referred to by him as the sons he never had.)
He fought a courageous battle with complications from diabetes and was a strong soldier to the time Jesus took him to his Heavenly home. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31. Although he could no longer walk or run on this earth he is now walking and running on the streets of Glory. Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-laws, Linda and Ricky Jones, Pulaski and Diane and David Kegley, Roanoke; granddaughters, Shannon White and husband Derick, Pulaski; Nikki Janusz and husband Kenny, Huntersville, NC; Natasha Kegley and boyfriend, Jeff Rogers, Roanoke; and one very special great-granddaughter Lindsey White, Pulaski; beloved friends Sue and Ed Williard and their children, Sarah, Samuel and Katlyn, Blacksburg; and his very special friends and loved ones, Reverend Randle Cregger and Rhonda, Pulaski. Randle was so faithful in visiting him, praying with him, encouraging him, loving him and standing by him even when he himself had serious health problems. He was always there for Royce and his family and in their hearts he and Rhonda are a very special part of their family.
Other survivors are a special sister-in-law Evelyn Rosenbaum, Rural Hall, North Carolina; Gary Rosenbaum, special nephew and his wife Fonda and children, Bubba and Leigh Ellen, Lexington, North Carolina; sister-in-laws, Edna Collins, Radford and Willie Edmonds and husband, Paul, Pulaski; brother-in-law Charlie Thomas, Pulaski; brother-in-law, Jimmy Thomas and wife Edith, Dublin; nieces; Nancy Wallace; Lori Kaplan; Carla Banken; nephews, Billy Collins, George Collins, Larry Thomas and Mike Thomas; beloved cousin and her husband Colleen and Warren East, Pulaski; who gave their love, prayers and support which meant so very much to him; special cousin, Polly Furr, Pulaski.
Royce was a patient of Drs. Yung Chan and Ralph Hassplier who for many years cared for him with kindness and compassion and he held them very dear to his heart. He also loved his nurses and therapist at Pulaski Community Hospital who were a very special part of his life.
Funeral Services will be conducted at The Family Worship Center (First Pentecostal Holiness Church), Memorial Drive, Pulaski, Sunday, April 3, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend C. R. Conner and Reverend Randle Cregger officiating.
Cemetery with military honors conducted by VFW Post 1184. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 2, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
