Funeral services will be conducted Monday, 1 p.m. at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Dublin with Pastor Michael Travis officiating. died Wednesday April 6, 2005 in a Richmond hospital. death by her husband, Willard "Bill" W. Anders, Sr., & a brother George W. Skaggs, Jr. She is survived by a son: W. Woodrow "Woody" Anders, Jr. of Richmond: a sister; Margaret Skaggs of Dublin: sisters-in-law; Guelda Skaggs of Roanoke, Adele Ballard of Christiansburg, & Virginia Anders of Bedford: several nieces, nephews, cousins, & special friend & companion Diane Burnett. A graveside service will be held Saturday April 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the New Dublin Presbyterian Church cemetery after the service. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and was a project engineer with Trane. She was a 1934 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Nursing. She is survived by 2 sisters: Mrs. Irene E. Hawkins of Brooksville, FL, & Mrs. Mary L. Jackaway of Clearwater, FL. Also survived by 5 grandchildren: Dwight L. Funk, Jr. of Pulaski, Mrs. Lynda Collins of Radford, Mrs. Kathy Carr of Glade Hill, Va., Mark Funk of Bedford, Va., & Timothy Funk of Vinton, Va. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Oakwood passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the New River Valley Medical Center. She was a retired employee of Radford Community Hospital. She was preceded in born August 23, 1923, at Belen, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Agnes Allene Ekerd and Robert Jasper Patterson. She was also preceded in Cemetery, Staffordsville. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday after 1:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
LOIS WINDLE QUESENBERRY
DRAPER – Lois Windle Quesenberry, age 75 passed away at Pulaski Community Hospital after a brief illness. Lois was a life long resident of Draper, Va.
She was a member of the Drapers Valley Presbyterian Church, but had attended the Draper Methodist Church for several years. She was a member of the churches Sunshiners Group and the Women’s Prayer Group.
She had written a column for the Southwest Times Newspaper for 29 years, which she enjoyed immensely.
Lois had helped for years with the family business, Windle’s Cash Grocery Store in Draper and had held numerous other jobs, but being a mother and homemaker were her most loved jobs.
She was preceded in Cemetery.
