PULASKI - Boyd Lincoln King, age 78 of Pulaski died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 at his home. He was death by a sister, Shelia K. Byrd. Mr. Cowan was a retired employee of Virginia Block with 20 plus years of service.
Surviving are: his daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Bradley Nester, Radford, Tish and Jeremy Fox, Radford; grandfather, Everett Alley, Pulaski; brother and sister-in-law, Allen G. and Francis (Pennie) Cowan, Dublin; brother and fiancé, Timothy C. Cowan and Hazel Fitzgerald, Pulaski; grandchildren, Angela Branch, Dawson Fox, Emily Nester, Drake Sifford; special family, Dusty Fitzgerald, Kevin Fitzgerald.
Mr. Cowan will be cremated. There will be a private family service. Friends may call at the home of the daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Bradley Nester, 7202 Morgan Farm Road, Radford, Va. or at the home of the brother and fiancé, Timothy Cowan and Hazel Fitzgerald, 608 Short Street, Pulaski, Va.

LORA IRENE THOMAS LINVILLE
PULASKI – Lora Irene Thomas Linville, age 84 of 1229 MacGill Street, Pulaski, Born June 3, 1921 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillie Rumley Thomas. Her first husband, five brothers and one sister also preceded her in Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.

VELMA RUTH VIARS KENNEDY
DRAPER – Velma Ruth Viars Kennedy, age 67, of Draper, Va. born Nov. 17, 1937 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Burt and Maggie Gravley Viars. She was a member of Mt. View Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are: her husband, Cecil Kennedy, Draper; one daughter, Michelle Kennedy, Draper; one son, Tim Kennedy, Pulaski; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alberta Dunaway, Ga., Martha Lawson, Draper, Elizabeth Cregger, Pulaski; one brother, Porter Viars, Barren Springs; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. at Mt. View Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Don Frazier and the Rev. Randal Jones officiating. Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-9 p.m.

DOUGLAS V. RORRER
PULASKI – Douglas V. Rorrer, age 36, of Pulaski, Va. passed away Sunday, September 11, 2005. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at RAAP with 36 years of service. He was an active member of Grove United Methodist Church, Shriner's, AARP, New River Square Dance Club and the New River Ballroom Club, Scottish Rite & York Rite, VA May Lodge #38 A.F. & A.M., Commandry of Blacksburg, the Boy Scouts, City of Radford Welfare Board, Community Action Board, and Recreation Board. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran having served during World War II. Mr. Pennington was death by his wife, Virginia Rose Faulkner Pennington, a brother, Chauncie Trevor Pennington, and four sisters, Josephine Clemson, Janice Cordle, Gretchen Jarrell and Envah Hagar.
Survivors include a son, Ronald George Pennington of Radford; a daughter, Terica P. Fisher of Radford; three grandchildren; a brother, James Oliver Pennington of Oceana, WV; a sister, Bernice Tincher, of Princeton, WV; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. James Bennington officiating. died early Monday morning September 12, 2005 at her residence. Cemetery with the Rev. Melvin West officiating. Visiting will be anytime Tuesday after 2:00 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated, however for those who wish to make memorial contributions, they may do so to the American Juvenile Diabetes Association P.O. RADFORD - Christine Armentrout Ross, age 79 of Radford, death by her parents, L. J. and Sarah Harrell Nester, a son, David M. Armentrout, Sr., six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, Darrell Armentrout of Dublin; daughter, Barbara Wyatt of Dublin; sister, Kate N. Farmer of Elbert, WV; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
