away Sunday, September 11, 2005 at the Pulaski Community Hospital.

RICHARD 'DICK' PRATT PRICE
RADFORD - Richard "Dick" Pratt Price, 80, born July 13, 1925 in Drapers Valley the son of the late Harry H. and Anna Pratt Price. He attended Draper High School, Greenbrier Military School and Elon College. He was a U. S. Army Air Corp veteran having served during WWII in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. He was an active member of Central United Methodist Church, the Kiwanis, V. F. W. Post # 776 and the American Legion. He served as the Radford Ford dealer for 36 years before retiring in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Bonnie Hite Price of Radford; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and David Dedrick of Bethel Park, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Diane Price of Columbia, TN; four granddaughters, Krista, Sarah, Lynsey and Allison Dedrick; two brothers, Tommy Price of N. Myrtle Beach, SC and Dr. Harry Price, Jr. of Emory; and two step-sons, Robert Hite McDaniel of Radford and Donald E. McDaniel of Fayetteville, NC; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Central United Methodist Church in Radford with Rev. Charles Lockerby officiating. Cemetery in Radford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Central United Methodist Church Building Fund, 803 Wadsworth Street, Radford, Virginia 24141.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

RADFORD - Vernie Irene McPeak Adkins, 62 of Radford, death by her parents, Oakley James and Elsie Bishop McPeak, brothers, James H. McPeak and Lawrence Eugene McPeak, stepsisters, Agnes Powers and Margaret Keith, and step-brother, Willie C. Burke, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Scotty D. Adkins, Sr. of Radford; a son, Donald Ray Adkins of Pulaski; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys Burke of Pulaski, Virginia and James Tolbert of Dublin, and Frances and Robert Shockney of Savage, MD; a brother and sister-in-law, Oakley Roger and Pat McPeak of Pulaski; a sister-in-law, Jean McPeak of Newbern; a step-brother and spouse, Mancel and Mary Ruth Burke; three step-sisters and spouse, Emmogean McPeak and Eva Jay and Emmett Tolbert, all of Pulaski, and Mary Kate Christian of Dublin; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 11, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Dallas Vines and Rev. James Hopkins officiating. died Friday September 9, 2005 in Pulaski Health & Rehabilitation Center. death by her husband Hubert "Nick" Carter, & a sister Nancy Hudson.
She is survived by her daughter; Dianne Santolla of Pulaski: 2 sisters; Emma Lou Kinser of Tazewell, & Phyllis Nunley of Manassas. Also survived by 2 grandchildren. Leigh Ann Santolla of Christiansburg, & Michael Santolla of Blacksburg.
Funeral services will be held Monday September 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons with the Rev. Coleman Shuler & the Rev. Gary Rorrer officiating. Cemetery. Loyd Casteele, age 68 Interment will follow at Hillcrest born in Sumner County, Tenn. Preceded in died Sept. 26, 2005. She was Funeral service will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Ave, on Friday at 1 p.m. Visiting hours were held on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. died Tuesday morning, Sept. 27, 2005 at his home. He was death by a daughter, Pamela Harrison and by a son, Billy Edwards, a sister, Barbara Edwards and by brothers, Harry Edwards and Raymond Edwards and by his wife, Nancy Edwards.
Surviving are: his children, Ronnie Edwards, Ky., Vicky Edwards Bolton, Pulaski, Tina Congenie, Chicago, Ill., Jill Bogusiewicz, Ky., Daniel Edwards, Mich.; sister, Bonnie Coffey, Pulaski, Rosa Jarrells, Pulaski, Bea Claytor, Richmond; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; step-children, Jerry Hollingsworth, Pulaski, Jessie Hollingsworth, Barren Springs, Rita Hollingsworth, Pulaski.

DR. PHILIP LOWELL CARITHERS
PULASKI Dr. Philip Lowell Carithers of Pulaski, Born on Feb. 5, 1930 in Danville, Ill., he was the son of the late Charles L and Margaret J. Carithers. Dr. Carithers graduated from Mississippi State University and completed his doctoral degree in Psychology from Indiana State University. He worked as a Chemistry Professor at Radford University and as a Psychologist in Lawrence County, Ohio.
Surviving are: his wife of 51 years, Carol E. Carithers, Pulaski; sisters, Judy Cavender, Casa Grande, Ariz., Joanne Carithers, Perrysville, Ind.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 3:30 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood born on June 27, 1930 in Rural Retreat and was the son of the late Arthur Lee and Christy Catron Steffey. He was also preceded in Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Pulaski VFW Post #1184 will conduct the military graveside rites. Visiting will be Tuesday evening from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Carilion New River Valley Hospice.
