BUCKINGHAM, Nov. 6 - Eddie Herbert "Hubbard" Shumaker, 62, of Buckingham, born July 1, 1941 in Buckingham County, a son of the late Alfred Lee Shumaker and Maggie Goin Shumaker.
He is survived by a devoted friend, Doris S. Hall; four children, Marshall Shumaker, Lillian (Lynn) Sprouse, Danny Shumaker and Ernest Shumaker all of Buckingham;
four sisters, Ada Taylor, Ethel Taylor, Carrie Taylor and Maggie Marie Taylor all of Buckingham; a brother, Willle Shumaker of Dillwyn and a special friend, Lynn Murphy.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by a daughter, Ginger Hudson Guthrie of Cumberland; his brothers, Don Hudson of Silver Spring, MD, and the Rev. Virgil Hudson of Farmville; his sisters, Clara Mae Howard of Richmond and Evelyn Huffman of Hickory, NC. He was preceded in died Wednesday, November 5, 2003.
She was Cemetery.
