CUMBERLAND, Jan. 6 - Ruby Ashman Norman, 67, of Cumberland, funeral service was held 2 p.m. Friday at Grove Methodist Church, Cumberland, with cemetery.

William L. McMillan, 74
COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Jan. 6 - William L. McMillan, Sr., 74, of Colonial Heights, born in Coalwood, West Virginia, a son of the late Monroe J. and Ola Booker McMillan
Mr. McMillan served 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Sergeant First Class, a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2239, a member of DAV and a member of Swift Creek Baptist Church. He was a retired engineer for Civil Service after 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Pallie B. McMillan; two sons, William L. McMillan, Jr. of Colonial Heights and Kent M. McMillan and his wife, Claudia of Farmville; two granddaughters, Sarah N. McMillan and Laura K. McMillan; one brother, Joseph B. McMillan and his wife, Mae of Concord; one sister, Margaret A. Seay of Buckingham County and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday at Swift Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Felker officiating. Burial followed in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield.

BUCKINGHAM, Jan. 1 - Joseph Franklin Love, Jr., 83, of Buckingham, born September 30, 1920 in Asheville, NC, a son of the late Joseph F. Love, Sr. and Agnes Ashton Love. He was preceded in interment in Buckingham Community died Thursday, December 25, 2003. He was preceded in cemetery.

A graduate of Longwood College, he was a two - time All American Soccer player.
He is survived by his son, Chad Joseph McArdle of Atlanta, GA; father and stepmother, Joseph E. and Lynne McArdle of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Kim McArdle of Maine;
brothers, Brian and Kurt McArdle of Atlanta, Craig McArdle of Las Vegas, Shawn McArdle of Virginia Beach and Jeff McArdle of New Jersey.

JANUARY 1 - Charles A. Anderson, 76, of Monsey, New York, born November 18, 1927 in Andersonville, Buckingham County, to the late Herbert Greenway and Alma Virginia Abernathy Anderson.
Mr. Anderson graduated from Buckingham Central High School in 1944, went on to Virginia Polytechnic Institute, was drafted in the spring of his sophomore year, served his country proudly 1946 - 47, and returned to Tech and graduated with degree in Agriculture Economics
He was a retired Metal Technician for MRC in Orangeburg, NJ for 27 years. He was a member of the Tappan Zee Barber Shop Chorus and the Hudson Valley Antique Club.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Johnson Anderson;
daughters. Susanne Denis Nolan of Monroe, NY and Charlene Ruth Reyes and her husband, Ralph of Stony Point, NY; one brother, Dr. H. Powell Anderson of (Andersonville) Dillwyn; one sister, Martha A. Rollings of Dendron and two grandchildren, J. T. and Nicholas Nolan. He was predeceased by his stepmother, Vida Abernathy Anderson.
A interment in Airmont Lutheran died Wednesday, December 24,2003.
She was death in 1992 and she then returned to Minnesota.
She is survived by nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held December 29 at Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake, MN. Cemetery in Columbia at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 4.
