MADISONVILLE, Oct. 5 - Fannie Anderson Price, 75, of Madisonville, Born June 9, 1929 in Charlotte County, she was the daughter of Laurence G. Anderson and Valerie E. Anderson. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted Sunday School teacher for over 50 years.
She is survived by her husband, Richard W. Price, Sr.; one son, Richard W. Price, Jr.; two loving granddaughters, Tracy P. Dibble and Hannah L. Price both of Midlothian; one great - granddaughter, Lindsay Grace Dibble; two brothers, Frank C. Anderson of Farmville and Henry T. Anderson of Burkeville; eight sisters, Mary A. Hughes of Charlotte Court House, Ruby A. Robinson and Donna A. Stafford both of Richmond, Carrie A. Reese of Hampton, Nina A. Layne of Cullen, Jane A. Holt of Bedford, Zenora A. Daubenspeck of Phenix and Irma A. Thompson of Williamsburg and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in interment in the church Cemetery.

SEPTEMBER 28 - Kathryn Dunkley Abbott, formerly of Farmville, died Monday, September 20, 2004.
interment in Westview died Monday, September 20, 2004.
He was death by a sister, Eula Watson Ownby and a brother, Alien Watson.
Mr. Watson was a beef and chicken producer. He was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Roy Ashley Watson, Jr. and wife, Marilyn of Cumberland; a brother, Ray Watson of Cumberland; two granddaughters, Ashley and Kristine Watson of Cumberland and two step - grandsons, Benjamin Fulcher of Prospect and Jacob Fulcher. of Cumberland,
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church, Cumberland, with cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.

SEPTEMBER 21 - Daniel Marion Locklair, Jr., 84, of Chester, formerly of Farmville, born December 17, 1919 in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Daniel M. and Frances Wise Locklair.
Mr. Locklair served two years In the U.S. Navy during World War II with the rank of Lt. J. G. on the USS Redmour. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Morton Glasgow Locklair; his sons, Daniel Marion Locklair, III and his wife, Bobbie of Richmond and Terry Neal Locklair and his wife. Dawn of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Marjorie Locklair Carter of Charleston, SC: a niece, Naney Carter Pierce of Charleston, SC; his stepsons, Wayne Glasgow of Richmond and Barrye Glasgow and his wife, Diane of Mechanicsville;
five step grandchildren and one great - step grandchild. He was preceded in funeral service was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, with Cemetery.

SEPTEMBER 21 - Ethel Grace Hawkins, 89, of Roanoke, died Friday, September 17, 2004 in Richmond.
She was funeral service was held Sunday at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville. A graveside service was held today (Tuesday) at 11 a.m. in Port Republic interment in the church died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at his home.
He was death by his wife, Mildred Ann Matney and a son Steven Matney.
Mr. Matney was a retired electrician and coal miner.
He is survived by three sons, Timothy E. Matney and wife, Linda Wilson Matney, Gerald Matney, Jr. and wife, Cindy Matney and Dennis Wayne Matney all of Cumberland; a brother, Leon Matney of Tazewell; two sisters, Mary Lester and Callie Matney both of Tazewell; three grandchildren, Steven, Christen and Lauren Matney all of Cumberland and a close and devoted friend, Angel Compos of Cumberland.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday on Grove died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at Holly Manor Nursing Home, Farmville.
