BUCKINGHAM, Sept. 14 - Kyle Jamerson, 73, of Buckingham, born March 4, 1931 in Buckingham County, a son of the late Charlie Jamerson and Betty Sharpe Jamerson. He was preceded in Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Toga Volunteer Fire Department or the Buckingham County Rescue Squad.
John William Elmer, 63
SEPTEMBER 14 - John William Elmer, 63, of Farmville, interment in Crewe died Thursday, September 9, 2004. She was the widow of Charlie William Holland.
She was preceded in interment in Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg.

BUCKINGHAM, Nov. 4 - Susie Virginia Spencer Adams, 89, of Buckingham, born July 1, 1915 in Buckingham, the daughter of the late Frank Hill and Nannie Moseley Spencer. She was the widow of Herbert B. Adams.
Mrs. Adams was a talented artist and seamstress and enjoyed sharing her many talents with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, H. Spencer Adams and his wife, Winnie of Buckingham; daughters, Pattie A. Bailey and her husband, Phil of Richmond, Nancy A. Maxey and her husband, Herbert, Jr. of Buckingham; five grandchildren, John R. Booker, II, of Harrisonburg, Susan M. Booker of Richmond, Adam B. Booker of Buckingham, Nancy Christina Maxey and Herbert E. Maxey, III, of Buckingham; two stepsons, Andrew and Matthew Bailey; three great - granddaughters and loving caregiver, Linda Moore, her family and staff. She was preceded in Cemetery.
The family will greet friends this evening (Thursday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.

BEAVER, WV, Nov. 4 - Louise Torrence Foster, 90, of Beaver, WV, born January 29, 1914 in Appomattox, the daughter of the late Samuel Earlie Torrence and Lucy Chernault Torrence.
Mrs. Foster was a member of Farmville United Methodist Church and was retired from the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service.
She is survived by daughters, Joyce Foster Elkins and husband, John of Beaver, WV and Janice Foster Cooper and husband, Charles of Hephzibah, GA; a sister, Bertha Torrence Dickerson of Richmond and two grandchildren. She was preceded in Cemetery, Farmville, with the Rev. Skip Torrence officiating.

DILLWYN, Nov. 2 - Daisy Smith Scruggs, 78, of Dillwyn, born July 9, 1926 in Buckingham County, the daughter of the late Thomas Shelton Smith and Rosa Merkle Smith. She was the widow of Floyd M. Scruggs.
She is survived by her children, Florence Robinette, Mary Coleman and Roger Scruggs all of Prospect, Annie Sears of Buckingham and Floyd Scruggs, Jr. of Dillwyn; two sisters. Sally Jones of Appomattox and Virginia Agee of Dillwyn; three brothers, Robert Smith of Glen Alien, William Smith of Tappahannock and Thomas Smith of Appomattox; ten grandchildren; 12 great - grandchildren and one great - great - grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with Cemetery.

'Mike' Spangler, 65

Dies Wednesday
NEWPORT NEWS, Oct. 28 - Michael Roderick "Mike" Spangler, 65, born in Denver, CO to the late Arno and Wilmath Spangler.
Mr. Spangler had been a peninsula resident since 1940 and was a United States Air Force veteran. He worked with his father's business. Ace Fabrication & Welding. Following his father's retirement, he successfully owned and operated the business until 1994. Following which, he worked with V.I.M.S. at William & Mary. He was an avid pilot and held a private pilot's license. He performed test flights for friends and besides his family soaring the skies was his greatest love. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Mike enjoyed introducing young people to the joys of flying and worked with the Young Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia "Ginny" W. Spangler; five daughters, Rena K. Emerson, Terri L. Rawlings, Deborah Briscoe and her husband, Ron, Maria Castleberry and her husband, Lee and Elizabeth Batten and her husband, Al; seven grandchildren, Gregory, Zachary, Craig, Matthew, Sterling, Katie and Cami; two brothers, Ronald Spangler and Dean Spangler; uncle, Conner Spangler; aunt, Odessa Walters and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held at 305 Cherokee Drive, Newport News, at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 31.
