FLORIDA, Dec. 21 - Virginia Carol Warren, 84, of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Born in Bon Air, she had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 34 years, coming from Farmville. She was a Methodist and received her Bachelor's degree and taught elementary school in Farmville. She was a member of DAR and a supporter of Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Heurring; two sons, G. Michael Warren of Newburg, MO and James J. Warren of Port Saint Lucie; her brother, Dr. James Simmons of Decatur, GA; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Died Thursday, December 16, 2004. A graveside service was held 2 p.m. Saturday in Crewe died Sunday, December 12, 2004.
She was the daughter of the late Robert Newton and Lula Wise Foster. She was the widow of William I. Kennedy.
Mrs. Kennedy was a retired school teacher.
She is survived by two nephews, Shelton Foster and his wife, Roberta of Dillwyn and John B. Foster of Farmville. She was preceded in Cemetery, Amelia County.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Doyne - Burger - Davis Funeral Home, Farmville.

PAMPLIN, Dec. 14 - Blanche Boothe Varner, 86, of Pamplln, death by her partner for life, Herbert Leroy Varner, Jr., an Infant son and two brothers. Mark Johnson Boothe, Jr. and William Lester Boothe.
She is survived by four daughters, Audrey V. Tatum of Amelia, Frances V. McDonald of Richmond, Doris V. Mitchell of Fredericksburg and Betty V. Mason of Pamplln; one son, Reginald Thomas Varner of Farmville; three brothers, Thomas Dewitt Boothe of Chesapeake, Reginald Lane Boothe of Portsmouth and Hunter Baldwin Boothe of Springfield; three sisters, Georgia Boothe Hall of Freeman, Jacqueline B. Crisler of Orlando, FL and Joyce B. McConnell of Atlanta, GA; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and nine great - great - grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch United Methodist Church with cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at Doyne Burger Davis - Funeral - Home, Farmville.

Owner, Dies in NC
CAMDEN, NC, Dec. 14 - Miriam S. Leese, 89, died Sunday, December 12, 2004 in Buckingham County. She was a former resident of Cartersville.
She was death by her husbands, Lewis Hooe and Velvin Jackson and a son, Robert Rice Hooe.
She is survived by a daughter - in - law, Geraldine Taylor Hooe of Yorktown.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Cartersville died at her home in Burkeville on Saturday, December 11, 2004.
She was death by her sons, Irving Junior and Milton Adkins and her daughter, Virginia Robertson.
A interment in Pisgah Baptist Church died Sunday, December 5, 2004.

NEW CANTON, Dec. 9 - Marie C. Christian, 66, of New Canton, born July 31, 1938 In Richmond, a daughter of the late George Norman Christian and Carrie Viola Hudgins Christian.
She is survived by her husband, Earnest J. (Slim) Christian; two daughters, Diane C. Dunkum and Candle C. Flippen both of New Canton; a son, Jeffrey W. Christian of Keysvllle; two brothers, Dwight Christian and wife, Linda and Randy Christian and wife, Gall all of New Canton; nine grandchildren and one great - grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Arvonia United Methodist Church with cemetery. The Rev. Jim Radford will officiate.
The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn.
