Nellie Carman, 81, of Manassas died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Arlington Hospital, Arlington.
Born in Pennsylvania, she lived on Long Island and in New City before moving to Northern Virginia in 1996.
Preceded in death by her husband, Darryl Lewis, and one son, Robert E. Lewis, survivors include one daughter, Pat Chavez of Manassas; one brother, David Grolemund of Deale, Md.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services and burial are private.

Christopher Jamie Paul Butler, 27, of Manassas died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg.
He had lived in Manassas for more than 20 years and attended Chantilly Wesleyan Church. He was employed with Signature Air Lines at Washington Dulles International Airport.
Survivors include his parents, Jacqueline and George Tanner of Manassas; two brothers, Scott M. Butler of Yorba Linda, Calif. and Michael R. Tanner of Manassas; a sister, Tina L. Butler of Quantico; and his maternal grandmother, Cleo Haag of Manassas.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Billy Pevy and Pastor Scott M. Butler officiating. Inurnment will take place at Good Hope Cemetery in Hardin County, Ill.

Sophie Harris
Sophie B. Harris, 70, of Arlington died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Arlington Hospital.
She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Washington, D.C.
Survivors include one son, Donald L. Burke Sr. of Manassas; one brother, Daniel Burke of New York; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday after 10 a.m. until service time at 11 am. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 26th & P Streets N.W., Washington, D.C., with the Rev. Dr. Clinton R. Washington officiating. Burial will follow at Clifton Union Cemetery, Clifton.

Jacob Williamson
Jacob Hunter Williamson, infant son of Mark and Juanita Williamson of Dale City, died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Alexandria Hospital.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, Christian Williamson and a brother, Quinton Williamson both of the home; maternal grandparents, Dallas and Ruth Tester of Lynchburg; paternal grandmother, Grace Bruce of Dale City and paternal grandfather, John Williamson of Washington.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Mountcastle Funeral Home with burial win Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

Sybil Braden
Sybil M. Braden, 75, of Partlow, died Friday, April 16, 1999, at Mary Washington Hospital.
A native of Greenville, S.C., she was a retired clerk for The Barn country store, and was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Braden.
Survivors include four sons, Joseph K. Braden of Thornburg, Alan L. Braden of Partlow, Stanley L. Harrison of Partlow and Bill Harrison of Charleston, S.C.; two daughters, Brenda Lee Braden of Fredericksburg and Virginia A. Sexton of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Sunday night at Mullins & Thompson Fredericksburg Chapel, where services will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Amos Healy officiating. Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria.
Christopher Wallace
Christopher D. Wallace, 12, of Front Royal, died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church.
A native of Fredericksburg, he spent his early years in Louisa and had lived for the past eight years in Front Royal. He was in the sixth grade at Warren County Middle School and was a member of Boy Scout Troop 52. He was also involved in the Lego Club.
He is survive by his parents, Michael G. and Sally E. Wallace of Front Royal and his sister, Lisa J. Wallace of Fairfax; maternal grandparents, Lois and Arthur Vis of Melbourne, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Sue and Andrew Cornelius of Arcola.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lee Funeral Home of Manassas, 8521 Sudley Road where services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Chris E. Riedel officiating. Burial will be in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

Joseph Johnson
Joseph Andrew Mateo Brooks Johnson, infant son of Bernie B. and Monica B. Johnson of Triangle died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Mary Washington Hospital.
He is survived by two sisters, Jessica Lynn Johnson of Spotsylvania and Amanda Faye Johnson of Caroline County; maternal grandfather, Mateo Bernil of Bohol, Philippines; and his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Johnson of Charlotte, N.C.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Found & Sons Funeral Home, Fredericksburg.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Quantico National Cemetery.

William Libeau
William Byrd Libeau, 51, of Manassas died Monday, April 19, 1999, at his home.
He was a brickmason and a private pilot.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jackie G. Libeau; one son, Chris Libeau of Vienna; his mother, Pearl V. Libeau of Manassas; two sisters, Dorothy Keller of Manassas, and Barbara Critchfield of Unionville; one brother, Donald Libeau of Manassas; and his former wife, Elsie Esenwein of Vienna.

Edna Whisenant
Edna Loveless Whisenant, 93, of Manassas died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at Prince William Hospital.
She had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Manassas since 1972, a member of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, Elizabeth McIntosh Hammill chapter, and The Colonial Dames of America, Virginia Chapter 33. She was a former member of the Manassas Garden Club and the Bethlehem Club. Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Herman Arthur Whisenant, she is survived by two daughters, Edna Jo Whisenant of Purcellville, and Jacquelyn W. Coston of McLean; one son, Herman A. Whisenant Jr. of Manassas; seven grandchildren and three great-granchildren.

Lorin Weed Jr.
Lorin H. Weed Jr., 77, of Manassas died Sunday, April 18, 1999, at Prince William Hospital.
He retired as a probation officer after 20 years of service with the Adult Traffic Division.
Survivors include one daughter, Janet W. Guthrie of Centreville, and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at United Methodist Church, 6400 Old Centreville Road in Centreville. Burial will take place later in Denver, Colo.

Jo Ann Butler, 46, of Dale City died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999.
She worked as a cook at Red Lobster in Dale City and Fairmont Nursing Home in Manassas.
Preceded in death by her mother, Classie Eckford; she is survived by her husband, Willie Butler of Dale City; her father, Wallace Eckford Sr. of Richmond; two daughters, Kristen Eve Butler and Melody Jane Butler, both of Dale City; eight sisters, Louranne Allen and Mary Louise Eckford, both of Paterson, N.J., Elaine Eckford of Richmond, Linda Eckford, Catherine Moultrie, and Shirley Warren, all of San Diego, Calif., Linda Eckford of Paterson, N.J., Dorothy Pearson of Spartanburg, S.C.; six brothers, Andrew Eckford, of Chesterfield, Anthony Ray Eckford of New Milfors, N.J., Barry Eckford of Newark, N.J., Calvin Eckford of Chesterfield, Duwayne Eckford of Paterson, N.J., Wallace Eckford Jr. of Paterson, N.J.

Linda Hylton
Linda Virginia Hylton, 56, of Woodbridge, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, at Potomac Hospital.
She was employed by the Hylton Group in Woodbridge for the past 25 years. She was a member of Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her children; Rick D. Hylton of Manassas, Cindy D. Carpenter of Woodbridge, and Donnie D. Hylton of Woodbridge; her father, John D. Crane of Liberty, N.C.; her mother, Grace V. Stackhouse of Liberty; her brothers, Billy D. Crane of Charlotte, N.C., and Wayne Crane of Liberty; her sisters, Sue Menefee of Fairfax, and Margie T. Adams of Burlington, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at noon at the Hylton Chapel, 14640 Potomac Mills Road, Woodbridge. Burial will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens.

Frank Brutski
Frank J. Brutski, 63, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at Hospice of Northern Virginia.
He was a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force with over 20 years of service, where he worked as a systems analyst. He was a member of the American Legion Post #539, the Quantico Rod and Gun Club and a volunteer in the Quantico Civilian Conservation Program.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Brutski; one daughter, Debra Ann Ward of Lavaral, Md.; four sons, Robert Brutski of Stafford, Frank Brutski and Steven Brutski, both of Woodbridge, David Brutski of Calif.; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will take place at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle.

James Smith Sr.
James "Jimmy" Lee Smith Sr., 58, of Gordonsville died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, after a bout with cancer.
He was born in Logansport, Ind., on Nov. 8, 1940.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda S, Smith of the home; five sons, James L. Smith Jr. and John R. Smith, both of Arlington, Michael R. Cox, Robert J. Smith and Rodney Smith, all of the home; one sister, Sherry Hylton of Ormond Beach, Fla.; one brother, Robert Smith of Frankfurt, Ind.; and one granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Thomasson's Funeral Home, 117 West St., Louisa.
Pauline Sinclair
Pauline Hall Sinclair, 73, of Alexandria, died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at Fairfax Hospital.
Preceded in death by her children, Linda Ann Lawson and Donald H. Nalls, she is survived by a daughter, Carol E. Clark of Fredericksburg; two sons, Ronald L. Nalls of Stafford and Richard E. Nalls of Union, S.C.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Edith Livingood of Springfield; and one brother, Caton Hall of Springfield.
She had worked at Arlington Building Supply Company, was retired from Prince William Pipeline and worked for Traveling Gormet.

Jimmie Street
Jimmie Street, 55, of Nokesville died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
He was a lineman for Prince William Electric Co-op, now NOVEC. On Oct. 12, 1972, he suffered an on-the-job injury of electrical shock and a fall that left him a T-4 paraplegic. He was a co-founder of the Prince William County Supervisors Committee for persons with disabilities, a member of the United States President's Committee for persons with disabilities and a pioneer in the investigations needed to have the Federal American Disability Acts become legislation.
Mr. Smith was a life member of the Manassas Jaycees. He and his wife volunteered to have persons with disabilities be trained using their home and vehicle. He became a FFL licensed gunsmith in 1974 and opened his own gun shop, D & J Gunsmithing. He also was a hunter safety education instructor for the Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries and a member of the Fairfax Rod and Fish Club. Mr. Smith was the recipient of many high honors from his numerous activities.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Della Gaye Street; two sisters, Darlene Stapleton of Warrenton and Deborah Street of Winchester; and one brother, Carl Street of Manassas.
