Josephine Grace Durrance, 74, of Falmouth and Fort Drum, Fla. died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg.
Originally from Milwaukee, Wis., she retired from AW Mitchell as an Office Manager after 36 years of service. She was a member of The Church of God in Okeechobee, Fla.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband, James E. Durrance Sr. of Falmouth and Fort Drum; two sons, James E. Durrance Jr. of Conwingo, Md. and Dale A. Durrance of Okeechobee; one daughter, Sandra Rowley of Spotsylvania; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. today at Mullins and Thompson Fredericksburg Chapel, with funeral services to follow at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Fort Drum.

Dorothy Harris
Dorothy Rosebell Mullins Harris, 78, of Fredericksburg died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg.
Preceded in death by her parents, James Lockhart Mullins and Octavia Stewart Mullins; and one son, Charles Buchanan, she is survived by her husband, Charles Harris; four daughters, Rita Viers of Fredericksburg, Linda Compton of King George, Wanda Bennett of Fredericksburg and Deboraha Leonard of Round O, S.C.; four sons, Jack Buchanan of Dale City, Roger Buchanan of Woodbridge, Doyle Buchanan of Indianapolis, Ind., and Darrell Buchanan of Gloucester; one stepdaughter, Donna Brather of Batesville, Miss.; two stepsons, Charles E. Harris of Hickory Valley, Tenn. and Charles H. Harris Jr. of Triverton, R.I.; one sister, Goldie Hillman of Clincho; 35 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and many niecess and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Mullins & Thompson Fredericksburg Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, with the Rev. William E. Jeffcoat officiating. Interment will be at Stafford Memorial Park, Stafford.

Kyle Hoss
Kyle Vernon Hoss, retired U.S. Air Force Staf Sgt., of Manassas died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at Cameron Glen Nursing Home.
He is survived by his wife, Louise M. Hoss; one daughter, Christi babis of Manassas; one stepdaughter, Mary Eloise Pierce of Stockton, Ill.; one sister, Phyllis Lane; one granddaughter; three stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6120 N. Kings Highway, Alexandria. Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle.

Bryan Parrott
Bryan Daniel Parrott, 23, of Manassas died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at Fairfax Hospital.
He was a motorcycle enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Sonja Parrott of Manassas; his parents, Douglas and Karen Parrott of Manassas; two brothers, David Michael Parrott and Nicholas Andrew Parrott, both of Manassas and many relatives and friends.

Elva Pease-Greenberg
Elva Marietta Pease-Greenberg, 85, of Woodbridge died Friday, Sept. 29. 2000, at Potomac Hospital, Woodbridge.
She was a longtime resident of Northern Virginia and a member of the VFW Auxillary.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd E. Pease and Edward J. Greenberg, she is survived by one daughter, Sharon M. Langfeldt of Stafford; one son, Roger L. Pease of Calhan, Colo.; one sister, Hazel Siders of Minnesota; one brother, Paul Hollmann of Minnesota; and two grandchildren.

Margaret Virginia Summers, 72, of Sperryville died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton.
She was a child care provider.
Survivors include her husband, Robert M. Summers of Sperryville; three foster daughters, LaTonya Aylor of Sperryville, Alicia Bowman and Consuella Bowman, both of Laurel, Md.; two foster sons, Arathon Aylor of Sperryville and David Bowman of Laurel; three sisters, Pauline Bailey of Woodbridge, Rosa Hawley of Germantown, Md. and Dorothy Reeves of Manassas; one brother, William R. Dove of Washington, D,C,; and seven grandchildren.

Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Gainesville.

Ella Anna Walsh, 73, of Dale City died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at her residence.
A resident of Dale City since 1967, she was a member of the Dale City Moose Lodge and a life member of the VFW Auxillary.
Survivors include her husband, William F. Walsh of Dale City; one daughter, Margaret Ann Douglas of Manassas; one son, Charles W. Walsh of Mechanicsville; two sisters, Gretel Gregor of Dusseldorf, Germany and Gertrude Heppding of Offenbach, Germany; one brother, Erick Kattner of Hamburg Germany; and five grandchildren.

Penny Winstead
Penny Ann Marshall Winstead, 54, of Griffin, Ga., formerly of Manassas, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000 at her home.
Preceded in death by her father, Frank R. Marshall, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Charles William Winstead II of the home; two sons, Charles William Winstead III of Berkeley, Calif., and Jonathan Marshall Winstead of the home; two daughters, Melanie Sue Winstead of East Point, Ga., and Jennifer Kaye Winstead of Greenville, S.C.; her mother, Evelyn Marshall of Manassas; two brothers, Troy D. Marshall of Catlett, and William R. Marshall of Haymarket.
Services will be held today at 3 at Haisten-Woodlawn Funeral Home, Griffin, Ga. Burial will take place Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

Fernand Landry
Fernand Anselm Landry, major, USMC retired, 94, of Manassas died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000 at the Golden Years and More Retirement Home in Manassas.
Born in Dutchtown, La., he entered the Marine Corps in 1932 and retired in 1962. He was a member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, Leetown, W.Va., and a member of the Masons at the Snow Lodge in Gonzales, La., and the Shriners at the Sudan Temple, New Bern, N.C.
Preceded in death by his wife Harriet Rachel Landry in 1989, he is survived by his children, Joyce V. Landry of Roswell, N.M., and Fernand "Lanny" A Landry of West Jefferson, N.C.; one sister, Adele Denoux of Dutchtown; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas. Services will take place Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ft. Meyer Old Post Chapel, Arlington. Burial will follow at Arlington National Cemetery.

Edward McElhinney
Edward W. McElhinney, 59, of Stafford died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000 at Mary Washington Hospital.
He retired from the U.S. Secret Service as a sergeant in the Uniform Division after 22 years of service. He then worked for the FBI as a police officer for more than nine years. He was a member of Aquia Episcopal Church, American Legion Post No. 221 in Maryland, a life member of the Moose Lodge, and a member of the Retired Association of the Secret Service. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife Carol J. McElhinney of Stafford; one son, Shaun Patrick McElhinney of Vienna; one daughter, Melanie M. Goodpasture of Richmond; and one brother, Frederick McElhinney of Poolesville, Md.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 pm. at Mullins & Thompson Stafford Chapel. Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Aquia Episcopal Church, the Rev. David M. Warner officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at noon at Quantico National Cemetery. The procession will assemble at Mullins & Thompson Stafford Chapel at 11 a.m.

He was employed by Spherion Technology Group in McLean.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Colonial Beach.
Preceded in death by her parents, Harry Harmon Clark and Geneva Gibson and her husband, she is survived by six sons, Jeffrey, Bruce, Michael Marshall, all of Stafford, Harry Marshall of Woodbridge, Bryan Marshall of Dumfries, and Paul Marshall of Stevensville, Md.; three daughters, Catherine Hanks and Hope Mikelson, both of Stafford, Donna Marshall of Fayetteville, N.C.; one sister, Lillian Wink of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; 29 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
