Mary J. Williams
Mary June Williams, 69, of Manassas died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
She was born June 2, 1932, in West Virginia, daughter of the late Jennings and Alma Audrey Walker Smith. She was a member of the VFW Post 1811 in Manassas Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Williams and one brother, Dured Smith.
Survivors include three sons, Jenning R. Williams of Virginia, Bill Williams of Manassas, and Doug Williams of Manassas Park; one sister, Nessya Breedlove of W. Va.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas. Funeral services will be held in Clayton, W.Va.
Robert R. Chesney
Robert R. Chesney, 83, of Manassas, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002.
He was a retired customs officer; a World War II veteran and served in both the African and European campaigns, earning two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts. Born in Illinois, he was a longtime resident of Florida before moving to Manassas to be closer to his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline Carrier Chesney.
Survivors include his son, Paul R. Chesney of Stafford.
Interment will be held 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at Arlington National Cemetery.

Genevieve A. Conroy
Genevieve Annastasia Conroy, 83, of Stafford, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
She was born July 10, 1918, in Corona, N.Y. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Daniel Conroy; and her parents, Peter H. Neary and Sadie Marie Neary Williams.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Donnelly of Hudson, N.Y., and Karen DiBenedetto of New City, N.Y.; one son, Pete Ross of Stafford; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mullins & Thompson Stafford Chapel, where services will be held 1 p.m. Friday. Interment will be held at Stafford Memorial Park, Stafford.

Eugene J. Grabowy
Eugene Joseph Grabowy, 79, of New York, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax.
He was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Pittsburgh. He served in the Army in Europe during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Grabowy. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a member of the American Legion while in New York.
Survivors include his daughters, Eugenia Schaefer of Manassas and Nancy Williams of Winchester; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors from American Legion Post No. 330 and VFW Post No. 2524 will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Culpeper National Cemetery.

Thomas D. Harrelson
Thomas Dewy Harrelson, 69, of Manassas, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at his home.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Marie B. Harrelson of Manassas; his children, Dennis E. Harrelson, Kathleen M. Harrelson, both of Manassas, Kenneth W. Harrelson of Arlington, Steven Harrelson of Annandale and Brenda Harrelson of San Antonio; two stepsons, Thomas C. Walker and David R. Walker, both of Manassas; three brothers, Carnis W. Harrelson of Gainesville, James C. Harrelson of West Virginia and John R. Decker of Houston; and 10 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, with a memorial service to be held at 7:30 p.m. Inurnment will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill, Miss.

Amilie L. Kaldenbach
Amilie L. Kaldenbach, 81, of Alexandria, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2002, in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
She was a resident of Alexandria for the past 52 years and a member of Olivet Episcopal Church and the Rose Hill Grandmothers Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth H. Kaldenbach, Sr.; and siblings, Stuart and Carey Ladd.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth H. Kaldenback, Jr. of Dale City and David A. Kaldenbach of Hanover, Pa.; one daughter, Janet Carrol Gibby of Atlanta; one sister, Frances Willis of College Park, Md.; one brother, Hope Ladd of Keswick; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cunningham Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Olivet Episcopal Church, 6107 Franconia Road. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Memorial Park.
Raymond G. Kunicki
Raymond George Kunicki, 58, of Manassas, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 19, 1943 in Erie, Pa. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas. He was a 1965 graduate of Youngstown University with a bachelor's degree in engineering and received a master's degree from Penn State University in 1976. He recently retired as the Departmental Safety and Occupational Manager for the U.S. Department of the Interior. He also formerly served on the Board of Zoning Appeals for the City of Manassas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett and Florance Kaminski Kunicki.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cynthia Lee "Cindy" Kunicki; one daughter, Heather Lee Kunicki; three brothers, Dr. Joseph Kunicki of Quincy, Ill, Dr. Thomas Kunicki of San Juan, Capistrano, Calif., and Mark Kunicki of Campbell, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral home, 9609 Center St., Manassas. A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, the Rev. Robert C. Cilinsky officiating. Inurnment will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Cemetery in Campbell, Ohio.

David J. Lynch
Retired U.S. Army Master Sgt. David J. Lynch died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, in Washington, D.C.
He was born in Milford, Mass., and was a photolithographer with the Defense Mapping Agency.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine A. Lynch; four children, Gina Marie Lynch, Patricia Lynch Cake, David J. Lynch Jr., and Joseph A. Lynch; and one sister, Mary Black of Milford, Mass.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Jefferson Funeral Home, 5755 Castlewellan Drive, Alexandria, with the recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m. Services will be held 2:45 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Fort Myer Chapel. Interment with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery.
Bruce W. Mason
Bruce Weaver Mason, 63, of Woodbridge, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, in Portsmouth of cancer.
He was a native of San Pedro, Calif. He was a design systems engineer and designed fire protection systems for the U.S. Navy for many years. He served in the Navy in the submarine service and was a member of the San Pedro Elks Lodge No. 966. He had a great love for woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Mason.
Survivors include a daughter, Robin L. Warren of Portsmouth; two sons, Tim and Tom Mason of San Pedro, Calif.; and two granddaughters.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover Ave., Norfolk. As per his wishes, he will be buried
at sea by the U.S. Navy.

Willis L. Moton
Willis Lee "Charlie" Moton, 87, of Mechanicsville, Md., died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at St. Mary's County Hospital in Leonardtown, Md.
He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Moton; his son, Johnny Ray Moton; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his sister, Susie Moton Stovall of Garland, Texas; and his granddaughter, Crystal Rae-Ann Moton of Woodbridge.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lee Funeral home, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, where services will follow at 8 p.m., the Rev. David Moshier officiating. Interment will be private.
Mary L. Smith
Mary Loy Smith, 77, of Arcola, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at the Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
She was a school bus driver for 26 years for the Loudoun County Public Schools where she drove to Broad Run High School and Arcola Elementary.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard Smith of Arcola; her daughters, Dianne M. Nicely of Manassas and Teresa N. Yoakum of Manassas; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Lee Funeral Home, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, where services will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle.
Virginia A. Gamache
Virginia A. Gamache, 74, of Woodbridge, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge.
She was a retired nurse from McKeesport Hospital in McKeesport, Pa.
Gamache was born Sept. 24, 1927, in McKeesport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerard and Gertrude (nee Dunlay) Thompson; and her husband, Albert C. Gamache.
Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Pardue; three sons, Stephen, Scott A. and Stuart M. Gamache; and eight grandchildren.
Interment was held at the New St. Joseph Cemetery in North Versailles.
Arrangements were by Willig Funeral Home, McKeesport, Pa.
William P. Mahan
William P. Mahan died Sunday, April 7, 2002.
Services will be held Monday at Fort Myer in Arlington. Interment with military honors will follow at 3 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery.
Following the service, a reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department in Woodbridge.
Melville S. Nelson
Melville S. "Pete" Nelson, of Manassas, died Friday, May 10, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Lynn Hudson Nelson of Manassas; eight children, Mike Nelson of Mammoth Lakes, Calif., Susan Kemper of Warrenton, Joe, Tim and Nancye Nelson, all of Manassas, Sandy Vera of Oakton, Pat Nelson of Remington and Jean Clarke of Strasburg; one sister, Ruth Glover Weller of McLean; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Manassas Baptist Church, 8800 Sudley Road, Manassas. Inurement will be private.
