Daniel Patrick Vaughan, infant son of Todd and Toni Vaughan, of Stafford, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at the Mary Washington Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Toni E. Lesko of Stafford; paternal grandparents, Buck and Sarah A. Vaughan of Stafford; maternal great-grandfather, Wesley O. Wormwood of Lexington Park, Md.; paternal great-grandmothers, Alfreda Schowen of Charleston, W.Va., and Susie Vaughan of Lewisburg, W.Va.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, at 1 p.m. at Stafford Memorial Park, with the Rev. John Fair officiating.
Memorials may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church, 164 New Hope Church Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.

Norman D. Weese
Norman D. "Cotton" Weese. 65, of Catlett, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at the Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
He was born Jan. 11, 1937 in Beverly, W.Va. He retired from Wise Guys Construction Company in Nokesville. He was preceded in death by his father, Stuart Weese and one brother, Clifford Weese.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Madge Weese; two daughters, Kellie Todd of Gainesville and Kim Krzywicki of Manassas; his mother, Ila Geraldine Weese of Brooksville, Fla.; three sisters, Barbara Dierickx of Wapello, Iowa, Roberta Hall and Zetha Kay Kearns, both of Elkins, W.Va.; four brothers, Gail Weese of Elkins, W.Va., Carroll Weese of Riverview, Fla., Joe Weese of Belington, W.Va., and Dennis Weese of Beverly, W.Va. and five grandchildren,
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas. A second visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Lohr Funeral Home, 120 First St., Elkins, W.Va., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Debra Lucas officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens, Elkins, W.Va.

Earl S. Cox
The Rev. Earl S. Cox, 86, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in North Carolina, he was a retired Baptist minister. He was a member of Fredericksburg Baptist Church, former pastor of Winfree Memorial Baptist Church in Midlothian, and former associate pastor of Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond. He retired from Colonial Beach Baptist Church after 15 years of service, where the new church was built under his leadership. After his retirement, he founded the Potomac Fence Co. He was also a member of the Portsmouth Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lula Cox; two sons, Irvin E. Cox of Charlottesville and Donald E. Cox of Fredericksburg; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fredericksburg Baptist Church, with Dr. J. Larry Haun and the Rev. J. Howard Cates officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Michael D. Kane
Michael D. Kane, 38, of Midlothian, formerly of Stafford, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, at Chippenham Medical Center.
Born in Clemens, Mich., he was a civil engineer for Talbert and Broght in Richmond. He was a Stafford High School graduate and a graduate of Virginia Tech. He was a registered professional engineer and a member of the following organizations: National Society of Professional Engineers; American Institute of Certified Planners; American Concrete Institute; American Concrete Pavement Association; and the National Fire Protection Association. He was an instrument-rated pilot and a member of the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association.
He is survived by his wife, Irene S. Kane of Midlothian; one son, Zachary A. Kane of Midlothian; two daughters, Haley A. Kane and Greer A. Kane, both of Midlothian; his parents, Lee D. and Barbara S. Kane; two sisters, Laura A. Daniels and Marribeth A. Thorpe, both of Spotsylvania; his maternal grandfather, John F. Spillman of Spotsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. A funeral Mass will be offered at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthews Catholic Church, the Rev. David P. Meng officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mary E. Sears
Mary Elizabeth Sears, 85, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Hertford, N.C., she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burfoot M. Sears.
She is survived by one son, Raymond A. Sears of Lanham, Md.; two daughters, Hilda I. Dixon of Woodbridge and Faye M. Benjamin of Fredericksburg; four brothers, John Perry of Newport News, Charles Perry of Portsmouth, Jack Perry of Anchorage, Alaska, and Louis Perry of Crossville, Tenn.; three sisters, Anne Holleman of Little Rock, Ark., Ellen Hutson of Newport News and Eva Howard of Portsmouth; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

William R. Davis
William Richard "Billy" Davis, 60, of Woodbridge, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at Potomac Hospital.
He was a warehouse supervisor for the federal government, and was a member of Roberts Chapel Baptist Church in Pendleton, N.C. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Horton and Heather Davis, both of Rocky Mount, N.C.; one son, Richard Heath Davis of Rocky Mount; one sister, Theresa Ambrose of Union, N.C.; three brothers, Harvey Lynn Davis of Greensboro, N.C.; George Thomas Davis of Rich Square, N.C., and Avery Lee Davis of Pendleton.
The family received friends Thursday evening at Roberts Chapel Baptist Church, Pendleton, where services will be held today at 11 a.m., the Rev. James Hester officiating. Burial will follow at Pendleton Cemetery.

Todd Diamond
Todd Diamond, 48, of Falls Church, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at Oak Meadow Nursing Center.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce A. Diamond of Falls Church; one son, Todd Diamond Jr. of Falls Church; three daughters, Tomya Stoute of Alexandria, Joanne Diamond and Annette Folks, both of Falls Church; two brothers; four sisters; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at noon at Ames Funeral Home, 8914 Quarry Road, Manassas, with Bishop Floyd D. Brown Jr. officiating. Burial will be private.
Vergie Gantt
Vergie Gantt, 67, of Woodbridge, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at Potomac Hospital.
She had been a resident of Woodbridge since 1959 and had lived in the Lake Ridge Fellowship House for the past few years.
Mrs. Gantt retired on a medical disability this year after 14 years as a bus attendant for Prince William County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gantt Jr.
She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Sullivan of Woodbridge; two sons, Charles Gantt III of Woodbridge and Jeff Gantt of Stafford; two sisters, Mary Griffith of Manassas and Imogene Supinger Woodcox of Gainesville, Fla.; one brother, Stuart Kindrick Jr. of Texas; her companion, Roland Boyd; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday with burial at Fairfax Memorial Park.

Richard L. Haines
Richard L. Haines Sr., 66, of Manassas, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001 at Annaburg Manor.
Preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne Haines in October 2000, he is survived by his children, Richard Haines Jr., Teresa Jones and Robert Haines, all of Bealeton, and Douglas Haines of Manassas; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Reba S. McPherson, 86, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at Lake Ridge Fellowship House.
She had lived at Fellowship House for the past 17 years and was co-owner of Fox Run Antiques in Occoquan.
Survivors include one daughter, Anna G. Barnes of Lake Anna; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lake Ridge Fellowship House, 2800 Harbor Drive.

Elsie Minnick
Elsie McElroy Minnick, 92, of Lorton, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at Potomac Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Lorton, she was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of Woodbridge. She was a charter member of the VFW and a member of American Legion Post 162 Ladies Auxiliary, and was a charter member of the Lorton Volunteer Fire Department.
Preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Minnick, and a daughter, Jeannette Garber, she is survived by one daughter, Louise Tolson; an adopted son, Worth McMains; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret Rendon
Margaret Mary Martin Rendon, 89, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at Summerville at Prince William.
She had lived in Northern Virginia since 1997. She retired from the Acquisitions Department at Wittenbert University’s Thomas Library in Springfield, Ohio, in 1977.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Leandro Rendon of Woodbridge; and one son, Martin S. Rendon, also of Woodbridge.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Triangle, the Rev. Bob Menard officiating. Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

Preceded in death by his brothers, Buster, Harllow and Merle Sims, he is survived by his wife, Viola Sims of Lorton; two daughters, Betty Stockslager of Front Royal, and Shirley McDerment of Fredericksburg; one son, Wayne Stockslager of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Claira "Shorty" Waterman of Taylorville, Ill, and Betty Kent of Florida; one brother, Ronnie Sims of Taylorville; and nine grandchildren.

Iona B. C. Bass
Iona Bell Coakley Bass, 90, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at the Woodmont Health Care Center in Fredericksburg.
She was born Oct. 18, 1911, in Stafford and was a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and a member of Leeland Home Demonstration Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cary K. Bass; and her parents, Samuel and Frances Snellings Coakley.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Kerney of Phoenix; three sons, Francis W. Bass of Phoenix, Vincent A. Bass of Colonial Heights and W. Alan Bass of King George; two sisters, Eva Carter of Odenton, Md., and Julia Mills of Spotsylvania; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Emma J. Bullock
Emma J. Bullock, 54, of Dale City, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
She was a member of Christian Hope Center Church in Woodbridge. She retired from the U.S. government in 1982.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Anderson B. Bullock Jr.; four children, Sheldon V. Bullock, Tawana D. Bullock-Locke, Shawnice P. Bullock-Wright, and an adopted daughter, Irene C. Nelson, all of Dale City; three sisters, Deloris Quarterman of Woodbridge, and Gloria D. Jones and Azela Jackson, both of Savannah, Ga.; one brother, Franklin D. Bowens of Savannah; and 12 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday with service following at 1 p.m. at Christian Hope Center Church, 14747 Arizona Road, Woodbridge, VA 22191.
