Donald C. Jones
Donald Clifford Jones, 48, of Stafford died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born in Washignton, D.C., he was senior recreation specialist for the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda N. Jones of Stafford; two sons, Clifford Jones and Russell Jones, both of Stafford; his parents, Clifford and Frances Jones of Stafford, formerly of Temple Hills, Md.; two sisters, Susanne Leon of Woodbridge and Elaine Gawler of Ashburn; one nephew and three nieces.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Mullins & Thompson Stafford Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Mark A. Miller officiating. Another funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Quantico Marine Base Chapel.

Grace C. Ryan
Grace Calhoun Ryan, 79, of Dale City, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Johns Hopkins University Hospital, Baltimore.
She was a resident of Prince William County for more than seven years. She was a former resident of Roanoke and Sandston.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria A. Ryan.
Survivors include two daughters, Nola R. Moss of Dumfries and Tina R. Bowes of Dale City; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Arnold Calhoun, Ralph Calhoun, Lorne Calhoun and Bo Calhoun, all of Indiana, and Wendell Calhoun of Kentucky.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, where services will take place at 1:30 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Tim Perrin officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

Willie J. Lewis, 75, of Manassas died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at Prince William Hospital, Manassas.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Elaine Lewis of Manassas; eight sons, Jeffro Townson, Larry Lewis, Jeff Lewis and Kevin Lewis, all of New Jersey, George L. Carter, Scott Shannon Harrison and William Lewis, all of Manassas, and Rillo Miles of Virginia Beach; eight daughters, Donna Addlery, Cheryl Brown and Jodie Skyler Harrison, all of Philadelphia, Dawn Sable Harrison, Heather Lewis and Ashley Lewis, all of Manassas, Skyler Faye Miles of Virginia Beach, and Amy Sarah Harrison of Oxon Hill, Md.; three brothers, Dan Carter Jr., Robert Lee Carter and Leroy Carter, all of Manassas; five sisters, Isabelle Allred of Washington, D.C., Gladys Corum of Herndon, Catherine Corum and Lottie Williams, both of Falls Church, and Deborah Winston of Fairfax; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Ames Funeral Home Inc., 8914 Quarry Road, Manassas, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ronald Winters presiding. Interment will be at Quantico National Cemtery, Triangle.
Doris E. Austin
Doris E. Austin, 77, of Triangle, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Potomac Hospital, Woodbridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cortez C. Austin Sr.
She is survived by three children, Sheryl E. Newsome of Greenbelt, Md., Cortez C. Austin Jr. of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Shelby L. Austin of Triangle; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathleen Brown of Inglewood, Calif., and Juanita V. Johnson of Silver Spring, Md.; one brother, Lewis A. Butler of Fairmont, Ga.; loving companion and caregiver Kathy Williams; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Episcopal Church, 5290 Saratoga Lane, Woodbridge, with the Rev. Valerie A. Whitcomb presiding. Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle.

Robert A. Mosher
Robert "Bob" Anthony Mosher, 45, of Bristow, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church.
Mosher was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Manassas, and George Brent Council No. 5332, Knights of Columbus, Manassas. He was employed with Loudoun County as a plumbing inspector.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marie Mosher.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne R. Mosher; four children, Janelle Badanes, Sarah Mosher, Joseph Zecka and Daniel Mosher, all of the home; three sisters, Kathleen Lehnhard, Sandra Hentz and Anita Hobson; two brothers, Kenneth Mosher and John Mosher; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. The funeral liturgy will be offered 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, with the Rev. Rosa Corrine Riggleman, 59, died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Florance (Hawes) Griffith; her sister, Ethel Makley; and her brother, Kenny Griffith.
Survivors include her son, Daniel Griffith of Manassas; one niece, Patricia Hartman of Herndon; two grandchildren, Dustin and Jesse Griffith of Clifton; and a lifelong friend, Millie McPherson of Manassas.
A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Monday at Blasius-Baker Funeral Home, 9320 West St., Manassas. Inurnment will be private.
Rose L. Seay
Rose Lee Seay, 57, of Manassas, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Centreville, where she served on the Usher Board.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Seay; and one brother, Alfred Seay Jr.
Survivors include her father, Alfred Seay of Manassas; friend, Sherman Tibbs of Manassas; six sisters, Ella Mae Bradus of Boston, Barbara Walker of Alexandria, Christine Seay of Manassas Park, and Virginia Seay, Betty Lue Seay and Jane Stewart, all of Manassas; six brothers, Robert Seay, Roger Seay and James Seay, all of Manassas Park, and Richard Seay, Archie Seay and Bobby Lee Seay, all of Manassas; and many other relatives and friends.

Lyle E. "Gene" Black
Lyle Eugene "Gene" Black, 83, died Friday, May 10, 2002, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
He was born May 18, 1918, at Canton, Ill., and retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Peoria, Ill. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Esther Gilmore Black.
He is survived by his wife, Annabelle Elizabeth Black of Bowling Green; one son, Larry Gene Black of Stafford; one sister, Erma Downing of Illinois; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Mullins & Thompson Stafford Chapel. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Tony Hall officiating.
Paul S. Randall
Paul Stewart Randall, 74, of Orlando, Fla., died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Florida Hospital, Orlando.
He was born Dec. 21, 1927, in Manassas. For the past 28 years, he worked as a master plumber for T.R. Plumbing, owned by his son, Timothy Randall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert P. and Eliza Bryant Randall.
He is survived by eight children, Timothy Edward Randall and Mary Elizabeth Ferguson, both of Orlando, Darlene Virginia Willis Ferguson of Lake City, Fla., Doris Ann Johnson, Charlotte Jean Randall and Esther Marie Burns, all of Manassas, Daniel Matthew Randall of Stafford County and Judy Jane Curry of Gainesville; the mother of his children, Beulah Jean Randall of Manassas; two brothers, Richard Randall of Culpeper and Harold Randall of Prince George's, Md.; one sister, Margaret Nix of Mesa, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Juana Rosa Cardenas Torres, 85, of Woodbridge, died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge.
She is survived by four sons, Alfredo, Ricardo, Rafael and Eduardo Porras; one daughter, Maria Raquel Porras; one brother, Roberto Cardenas; and one granddaughter, Milagros Vergaray of Woodbridge.
The family received friends Friday at Miller Funeral Home in Woodbridge. A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Dale City, with Father Hoyos officiating. Burial was held at Dumfries Cemetery in Dumfries.
Robert R. "Ray" Vanover
Robert Raymond "Ray" Vanover, 76, of Manassas, died Friday, May 10, 2002, at Hospice of Northern Virginia, Arlington.
He is suvived by his wife of 53 years, Jocelyn L. Vanover; one son, David Ray Vanover of Springfield; one daughter, G. Gail Marcum of Manassas; two brothers, Frank Vanover of Woodbridge and Paul Vanover of Logan, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Erin Vanover, Christopher Trujillo and Tracy Trujillo; and three great-grandchildren, Dennis Trujillo, Kert Hoyle and Wayne Hoyle.

Marlene White, 64, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge.
She is survived by her husband, John White of Woodbridge.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle with Rabbi Koss officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1503, 14631 Minnieville Road in Dale City.

Grace Mary Hurst, 65, of Manassas, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
She was a member of Victory Gospel Church, Manassas. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clint Edward and Maggie Cordle Houchins; three sisters, Oma, Beulah and Louise; and two brothers, Eley and Bud.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, James B. Hurst; three sons, Steve D. Taylor and Charles A. Taylor, both of Fredericksburg, and James B. Taylor Jr. of Manassas; one sister, Madge Short; eight brothers, James Houchins, Ray Houchins, Raymond Houchins, Andy Houchins, Stanley Houchins, Emory Houchins, Harold Houchins and Glenn Houchins; and ten grandchildren.

Helen Madeline Polk, 97, of Manassas, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
She was a longtime member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Centereach, N.Y. Her hobbies included working on puzzles, knitting and watching soap operas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Paul Polk.
She is survived by two daughters, Veronica Beatty of Centereach and Dorothy Collora of Stafford; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
