Robert T. Fagely
Robert Thomas Fagely, 81, of Manassas, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Hospice of Northern Virginia, Arlington.
He was born March 18, 1920, in Philadelphia, son of the late Amos and Ida Hess Fagely. He was a member of St. Alban-Swain Lodge #529 AF & AM and American Legion Post 959, Philadelphia.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Violet M. Fagely; two daughters, Vicky Masturzo and Barbara A. Waterman, both of Manassas; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, where funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Robert S. Brookover III officiating. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cememtery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Northern Virginia, Prince William Clinical Office, 9540 Center St., Manassas, VA 20110, in memory of Robert Thomas Fagely.
Frank L. Potvin
Frank Leo Potvin, 74, of Woodbridge, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001.
He was born in Shelburn, Vt. on Jan. 18, 1927. He served as an altar boy in his youth at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Shelburne, and later attended Mass at the Marine Corps Memorial Chapel. He graduated from Shelburne High School in 1944, where he was captain of the basketball and baseball teams. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He continued his education at St. Michaels College, graduating with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics in 1951. He would later receive his master’s degree from St. Michaels College in 1960.
He taught and coached at Jericho High School in Vermont for four years. He coached the cross country team to the Vermont state championship in 1954.
He then served as an educator and administrator for the United States Air Force Dependent School System overseas.
He married Betty Jane Martin of Grand Rapids, Mich., on June 10, 1960, in Chateauroux, France.
He returned to the United States in 1961 and taught mathmatics and coached track and cross country at the Quantico Dependent School System’s Quantico High for the next 29 years. He retired in 1990.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank O. and Margaret Rose Monniere Potvin; four sisters, Frances St. George, Libby LeClair, Doris Lamoureux and Katherine Piasecki; and two brothers, Robert Potvin and Arthur Potvin.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Martin Potvin; four sons, Frank Potvin of Sarasota, Fla., Michael Potvin of Aiken, S.C., Richard Potvin of Glenn Burnie, Md. and Douglas Potvin of Snow Hill, Md.; one daughter, Lisa Byrd of Fredericksburg; one sister, Teresa Simonella of Concord, N.H.; and eleven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Marine Memorial Chapel, Quantico. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.

Edith E. Hall
Edith Elizabeth Hall, 83, of Woodbridge, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Annaburg Manor, Manassas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest C. Hall; and one daughter, Carol Lowery.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Hall of Thornton, Colo., and Dale Hall of Centreville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with burial at National Memorial Park.
William C. Hall
William Clinton Hall, 67, of Springfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at his residence.
He was a commercial truck driver for more than 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Clinton and Hazel Rebecca Hall; one brother, Donald Hall; and one sister, Catherine Caton.
He is survived by his son, David Wayne Hall of Springfield; three brothers, Charles Hall and Paul Hall, both of Springfield, and Morriss Hall of Cottage City, Md.; and one sister, Joyce Stone of Woodbridge.
The family will receive friends 7 p.m. Friday at Mountcastle Funeral Home Chapel, where services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Jerry Fletcher officiating. Burial will be held at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax.
Eudora M. Jackson
Eudora Maxine Jackson, 75, of Centreville, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Leewood Health Care Center, Annandale.
She was a postal clerk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest M. Jackson Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Earnest M. "Chuck" Jackson Jr. of Danville and Harold "Beaver" Jackson of Woodbridge; two sisters, Sarah Jackson of Centreville and Laura West of Fairfax; one brother, Burkett Greene of Madison; and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at New Mt. Zoar Baptist Church, 11901 Braddock Road, Fairfax, where services will be held at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Spencer Isaac officiating. Burial will follow at Greene Family Cemetery, Fairfax.

Rachel H. Cornwell
Rachel Harris Cornwell, 79, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Dogwood Retirement Center, Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lottie (nee Beaver) Harris; her husband, Hilton A. Cornwell Sr.; and daughter, Rosalie Diane Cornwell.
Survivors include her two sons, Hilton A. Cornwell Jr. of Manassas and Ricky Cornwell of Stafford; four sisters, Thelma Bowers, Elva Lewis, Edna Rankin and June Davis, all of Manassas; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Blasius-Baker Funeral Home, 9320 West St., Manassas, where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodbine Baptist Church Cemetery with the Dr. Rev. William Higgins officiating.
Willie C. Culbreath
Willie Clarence Culbreath, 68, of Falls Church, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Culbreath was a member of Peace Baptist Church of Dunn Loring.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hettie Culbreath; and three sisters, Nellie Downing, Betty Long and Thelma Wright.
Survivors include a daughter, Teretta J. Boykins of Fairfax; three sons, Willie J. Culbreath of Shelby, N.C., Larry G. Culbreath of Falls Church, and Gary E. Culbreath of Forestville, Md.; two sisters, Annie Frances Culbreath of Falls Church and Katherine Culbreath of Alexandria; one brother, Otis Culbreath of Falls Church; eight grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. Friday at Peace Baptist Church, 8221 Wolftrap Road, Dunn Loring, where services will be held at noon with the Rev. James E. Jefferies officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant Valley Memorial Park, Annandale.

Virginia L. Howard
Virginia Lee Howard, 77, of Owings, Md., died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Maryland.
She had been a lifelong resident of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert T. Howard and Robert R. Howard.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol L. Moser of Williamsburg and Peggy A. Skiles of Calvert County, Md; one stepdaughter, Robin Howard of Centreville; one stepson, Bobby Howard of Centreville; two sisters, Marlene Clark of Winchester and Jane Compton of New York; one brother, Billy Haas of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Billy Shepard officiating. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park in Falls Church.
Rayford "Bubby" Surratt
Rayford "Bubby" V. Surratt, 32, of Woodbridge, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge.
He had been a member of the Woodbridge community since 1987. He loved basketball and enjoyed singing and listening to music.
Survivors include his wife, Erika Surratt of Woodbridge; two daughters, Briana L. and Kaylynn A. Surratt, both of Woodbridge; one son, Erik V. Surratt of Woodbridge; his mother, Carolyn Contreras-Guzman; three sisters, Kathy N. Knott, Audrey D. Hampton and Tamula L. Hocog; and four brothers, Ernest R., Reginald D., Anthony L. Hubbard and Tamula L. Hocog.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday service time at the Mountcastle Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Memorial Park, Annandale.
