Chiaki, Minoru, 82, the last survivor of the actors who played the title characters in Akira Kurosawa's masterpiece, "Seven Samurai," and also had roles in the famed late director's "Hidden Fortress" and "Rashomon," died Monday in Tokyo.
Wilson, William, 51, who co-wrote "An Incomplete Education," a book designed to fill the gaps in college graduates' knowledge, died of HIV-related illness in New York Oct. 18. The book, published in 1987, still sells more than 100,000 copies a year.
