Rebecca Thomasson Clingenpeel, 84, of Vinton went to be with her Lord Saturday June, 12, 2004. Rebecca was a former employee of Kenrose Mfg. and widow of Harold Mansfield Clingenpeel. She was the daughter of the late Henry Emmett Thomasson and Fannie Crouch Thomasson. Also preceded in death by a son, Robert R. (Bobby) Clingenpeel. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Harold and Linda Clingenpeel of Vinton; daughter-in-law, Marsha Clingenpeel, three grandchildren, Valerie Caldwell, Randi Clingenpeel and Charlie Clingenpeel; one great-grandson, Ethan Caldwell; one brother, Paul Thomasson of Bedford County and one sister, Florence Creasy of Goodview. Terry Allen Conner, 43, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 11, 2004. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty K. Conner; a step brother, Jason King; and grandparents, Laura and Delvin Osbourne. Terry was an avid outdoorsman with a special love for hunting, fishing, and Nascar racing. He was proud of his family and the fact that he successfully operated his own business. JONAS, Lilburn L.
Lilburn L. Jonas, 91, died on Thursday, June 10, 2004 in Annapolis, Maryland. Mr. Jonas, formerly of Blue Ridge and Roanoke, was born on July 20, 1912 in Wythe County, Virginia, the only son of the late Bert Shannon Jonas and Claire Buck Jonas. Mr. Jonas was a graduate of Pulaski High School. He was Manager of A&P Co. in 1931, a representative of Jamesway Equipment Co. in 1943, and owner of Blue Ridge Supply Store in 1945. He was a Real Estate Broker in the Roanoke Valley since 1949, and was a member and past President of the Roanoke Valley Board of Realtors. He was owner of L. L. Jonas Real Estate Brokerage, was associated with the Federal Housing Administration, and was a partner in John H. Windel Co. He was also associated with Sigmon Brothers and J.G. Sheetz & Sons. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren, where he served as Trustee and member of the Board. He was a former moderator and Board Chairman of the Virlina District, and was a member and past President of the National Men's Council for the Church of the Brethren. He was a member and past President of the Kiwanis Club of Botetourt County, a former Director of the Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce, and former member and Chairman of the Botetourt Planning Commission. He was a charter member and Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals, and was instrumental in establishing the Blue Ridge Park in Botetourt County. He served on the Board of Directors of Weekday Religious Education, and was on the Board of Directors of the Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Home in Brookneal, Virginia. He was a member and past President of the Blue Ridge Ruritan Club, and a life-long member of the American Red Cross, where he was a twenty-two gallon donor. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Florence Rieley Jonas; two sisters, Lela Jonas Sutphin (Mrs. Basil) of Portsmouth, Virginia and Frances Jonas Crumpacker (Mrs. Ned) of Roanoke. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, L. Leroy Jonas, Jr. and Katheryn Lehman Jonas of Annapolis, Maryland; one daughter, Marcia Jonas Holtzman of Mount Sidney; one sister, Evelyn Jonas Thomas of Roanoke; three granddaughters, Anne Marie Jonas and Allison Leigh Jonas of Annapolis, Maryland, Jill Holtzman Vogel and her husband, Alexander Nicholas Vogel of Warrenton; one grandson, William Todd Holtzman of Mount Jackson; one great-grandson, William Alexander Vogel of Warrenton; four nephews and two nieces. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 11 a.m., at the Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren with the Rev. J. Richard Gottshall and the Rev. Glenn D. Stevens officiating. Interment

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Bertrand "Bert" Pybass. Medical Center, belonged to the Ostomy Club, First Christian Church, Salem and V.F.W. Post 4318. He was born May 1, 1930, a son of the late John L. and Maggie Smith Lynch and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis, Shelton and Jay Hugh Lynch. Surviving are sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Alfred Ellis, Rocky Mount, Shirley Mae Lynch, Betty and Wade Bowman, all of Bassett; sisters-in-law, Ruby Lynch and Mary Elizabeth Lynch; three nieces; and three nephews. Stephen John Boraski, of Richmond dedicated husband, father and civil servant went to be with Our Lord on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at the age of 59. He is survived by noel, his loving wife of 30 years, and his sons Derek and Michael., Also surviving is his younger sister, Sharon Helm and her husband and children, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many loving friends. Steve, an Air Force veteran and a graduate of the University of Memphis spent nearly 30 years serving as a probation officer with both the State of Virginia and the US government. As a member of Beulah United Methodist Church he enjoyed his Mariners Class and there chicken barbecues. He was an avid salmon fisherman. His family will receive friends fro 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Mr. Combs was raised in Sugar Grove, VA. and after serving his country in the United States Army, settled in New Jersey where he owned and operated a business.
