Mimi
Her door was always open
You could smell the coffee in the air.
She welcomed everyone
You felt at home there.
If you needed a warm spot
Or just a sympathetic ear,
She always had room
She was always there.
She's left years and years of friends to carry on,
But she gave a part of herself to each and everyone.
If each one she's touched,
Honored her with just one good deed,
The world would be quiet.
If but for a moment,
And without need.
She's tended to many, many lives
And we are all better for it,
We'll keep her with us always,
Alive in our own spirit.
