Ronald L. Gladstone
Ronald L. Gladstone, 59, of Mahwah, N.J., formerly of Morris, N.Y., died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002.
He was the beloved son of Doris Gladstone, of Mahwah, N.J., and the late Kenneth P. Gladstone.
He is survived by three brothers, Beverly Broer, of Hachettstown, N.J., Richard Gladstone, of Lovingston, and Bruce G. Gladstone, of Westfield, N.J.; a sister, Darlene Gladstone, of Hackettstown, N.J.; two nieces, Nicki, and Christine; two grand nephews; and one grand niece.
Ronald worked for Shop Rite in Ramsey, N.J., Allen Bacon in Rockleigh, N.J., and Mahrapo Farms in Mahwah, N.J.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Van Emburgh-Sneider Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, N.J. Interment
will follow in Maryrest cemetery, Mahwah, N.J.
John W. Glasco Jr.
John William "Billy" Glasco Jr., 40, of Louisa, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002.
He was employed as a mechanic at the North Anna Power Station.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Glasco; two sons, Josh Glasco of Mineral and Ryan Key of Louisa; a daughter, Morgan Glasco, of Louisa; his mother, Phyllis Glasco of Lovingston; his stepmother, Peggy Glasco of Troy; two sisters, Jodie Johnson of Chesterfield and Kathy Kober of Mineral; his maternal grandmother, Ethel B. Lacy of Orchid; and his mother-in-law, Della Musser of Louisa.
He was preceded in death by his father, John William Glasco; his maternal grandfather, Charles Hamilton Lacy; and his paternal grandparents, Richard Clyde Glasco and Katherine Loving Glasco.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Entombment will be in Hillcrest cemetery.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Graham cemetery, Orange, with the Rev. John Grotz officiating. The funeral will be followed by a Masonic Service by Independent Orange Masonic Lodge No. 138 A.F. & A.M.

Charles Lewis
Charles Lewis, 98, of College Park, Ga., died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002.
He is survived by one devoted nephew, John Bannister, of Louisa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Thomasson's Funeral Home Chapel, Louisa. Interment
will follow the service at First Baptist Church, Louisa.

James R. Likens
James R. Likens, 77, of Ruckersville, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Evergreene Nursing Care, Stanardsville.
He was born August 10, 1925, in Ekins, W. Va., a son of the late Hershal and Thelma Likens.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Blanche Longley Likens. Words cannot express the bond of love and caring by these two peolple.
He is also survived by a daughter, Tina Dixon and her husband, Josh, of Dundalk, Md.; two grandchildren, Marc Williams, of Ruckersville, and Jacqui Williams of, Westminster, Md.; a great-granddaughter, Corrine Henehan, of Westminster, Md.; and a sister, Betty Slane, of Macedonia, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Likens, Peg Medkeff, and Dolly Eubank; and two brothers, Arson and Hartsel Likens.
Mr. Likens was retired from Bethleham Steel as a heavy equipment operator.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ryan Funeral Chapel, Quinque, with interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery in McGaheysville. The Rev. Dan Carlton will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Virginia D. Lynch
Virginia Davis Parker Lynch, of Norfolk, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Autumn Care of Norfolk.
She was born in Harrisonburg, to the late Harriet F. and Brown O. Riddle.
She was retired from L. Snyders Department Store, Ames and Brownley. She was a member of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church and Kings Daughters.
Virginia was the widow of Hosley Alfred Lynch.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy L. Lalone; her grandson, David Lalone, of Vir-ginia Beach; her granddaughter, Mary Virginia Lalone, of Houston Texas; two brothers, Linwood Riddle and Ashby Riddle, of Norfolk, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Riverview cemetery.

Irnell D. Maddox
Irnell Dickinson Maddox, 88, of Louisa, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002.
She was a daughter of the late Ryland Saunders Dickinson and Betsye Massie Dickin-son.
She was a member of Louisa United Methodist Church, charter member of Louisa KS Club, member of the United Methodist Women, and a former member of the Ladies Aux-illary of the Louisa Fire Department.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Betsye M. and Calvert L. Compton, of Louisa, and Nancy M. and Bradley T. Pleasants, of Louisa; a brother, Massie E. Dick-inson, of Lanham, Md.; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth M. Orrock, of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Tucker and Travis Pleasants.
The family will receive friends fro 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa, where funeral sercices will ve conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday with the rev. Michael Kubat officiating. Interment
will be in Hill Crest cemetery, Louisa.

Bertha Mae Morris
A funeral service for Bertha Mae Morris will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Ryan Funeral Chapel, Quinque, with interment in the family cemetery on Wyatt Mountain.

Thomas E. Nettles
Thomas Earl Nettles, 78, of Chesapeake, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002.
Born in Greenville, S.C., he was the son of the late John Randolph Nettles and Grace Jones Nettles.
In addition to his parents he was survived by two brothers, John Archie Nettles, and William Marion Nettles.
Mr. Nettles was a lifetime resident of Chesapeake. He served in World War II in the Army with the Office of Strategic Service. He graduated from the Norfolk division of William and Mary, and served the ODU alumni association as Vice President and President as well as the Board of Directors. He operated his business, T.E. Nettles Plumbing and Heating for 50 years in south Norfolk and was active in many professional organizations. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Earl pursued this interest thoughout the world and was an active member of Safari Club International.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Claudia Winfield Nettles, of Chesapeake; one son, John Thomas Nettles, of Chesapeake; two daughters, Amy Melanie Nettles, of Chesapeake, Judith Nettles Cole and herhusband, David, and their children, Tyler and Travis, all of Charlottesville; three sisters, Mildred Nettles, Margaret Fulcher, and Nancy Ault, of Chesapeake.
There will be no formal services. A celebration of his life and gathering of family and friends will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, at his home, 300 Kemp lane, Chesapeake.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Lillian Kelly Schweinefuss, 79, of Alexandria, died Sunday Nov. 10, 2002, after a courageous conflict with cancer.
A former textile research chemist and teacher of her children, grandchildren, and elementary school students. A graduate of Villa Madonna College; now Thomas More.
She was born in Pendleton, Ky. Beloved wife and friend of Ralph J. Schweinefuss for 55 years. Loving mother of Thomas J. Schweinefuss, of Alexandria, and Molly C. (Mrs. James H. Dameron), of Charlottesville.
In addition to her children she is survived by four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers; two sisters; a sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Gladys S. Sparks
Gladys Seale Sparks, 91, of Oak Park, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Madison.
Born June 17, 1911, in Madison, she was the daughter of the late Linwood S. Seale and Odie M. Seale, and wife of the late James Russell Sparks.
Mrs. Sparks was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Aroda.
She is survived by a daughter, Laurel S. Jones and her husband, Jerry, of Oak Park; a son Franklin Sparks and his wife Cheryl, of Ridgeley, W. Va.; a brother, Charles M. Seale, of Oak Park; four sisters, Leona S. Jones, of Pratts, catherine S. Hale, of Oak Park, Edna S. Jones, of Twymans Mill, and Christine S. Goodall, of Madison.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Oak Park, with Pastor Stanley Borders officiating.
