Elizabeth Anderson Tinsley, 51, of Bremo Bluff, went to be the Lord on Friday, Nov. 8, 2002.
Born Sept. 20, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Daisy Kingston Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Shirley Bradley.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Danny Joe Tinsley Sr.; a loving daughter, Daisy Tinsley; a loving son, Danny Joe Tinsley Jr.; her father-in-law, Lewis and his wife, Clara Tinsley; one brother, Oscar Christopher; three brothers-in-law, Percell and his wife, Connie Tinsley, of Richmond, John and his wife, Cynthia Tinsley, of Goochland, and Lewis Tinsley of Goochland; and two sisters-in-law, Beverly Allen of Richmond and Brenda Bell of Goochland.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Colbert Funeral Home, Bremo Bluff.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cloverdale Baptist Church. The Rev. Phillip Carter will officiate. Interment
will be in the church cemetery.

Calvin L. Anderson
Calvin Lee Anderson, 59, of Keswick, died suddenly Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at his home.
Born Sept. 4, 1943, in Springfield, Ill., he was the son of John C. and Mariette Lee DePew Anderson of Chatham, Ill.
He was a member of American Rabbit Breeders Association, Albemarle County Fair, First Night Virginia, and First Baptist Church.
Calvin served in The National Guard in Texas and was retired from Wachovia Bank.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 11 years, Linda Allen Anderson of Keswick; his children, Stefanie Lynn Wilcox, Steven Dwayne Anderson, and Scott Daniel Anderson, all of Richmond; his stepchildren, Ronald Scott Mallory and his wife, Heather, of Louisa, Shawn Thomas Mallory of Charlottesville, and William Thomas Mallory of Keswick; a brother, Terry Anderson and his wife, Jodee, of Sulpher Springs, Texas; a sister, Nancy Priepot and her husband, Jim, of Chatham, Ill.; his father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Eula Allen, of Charlottesville; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Susan Allen, of Arvonia; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces; and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Hill & Wood Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Joel P. Jenkins and the Rev. John Green officiating. Interment
will be private.

Ethel Mae Booker
Ethel Mae Booker, 61, of Laurel, Md., formerly of Orange, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at Laurel Regional Hospital.
Born Aug. 2, 1941, in Orange County, she was the daughter of the late Earl Williams and Kimmie Booker.
She was a former member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a laboratory technician for a food service in Seat Pleasant, Md.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Terrill and her husband, Clarence, of Orange and Josie Proctor of Laurel, Md.; two sons, Jeffrey Proctor and his wife, Pamela, of Maryland and Julius Booker of Pennsylvania; three brothers, James Booker Sr. and his wife, Mary, of Washington, D.C., Edward Hamilton and his wife, Debora, and David Hamilton and his wife, Yolanda, all of Maryland; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Proctor, Tiffany Terrill, Jennifer Proctor, Jennell Proctor, Jeannine Proctor, and Tunisha, all of Maryland; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Interment
will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Rippert Roberts will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Lewis Dolen Burner
Lewis Dolen Burner, 62, of Louisa, died peacefully Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Born Sept. 5, 1940, in Merrifield, he was the son of the late John C. Burner and Senie Loveless Burner.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Burner was preceded in death by his sister, Libby Nalls.
Dolen was owner and operator of Dolens Garage in Louisa. He was a longtime member of the Three Chopt Hunt Club, Zion Crossroads, and had a great love for bluegrass music. He was well-known and loved by many friends and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Burner is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce Burner of Louisa, one daughter, Lori Moss and her husband, Bobby, of Louisa; one son, Robert Burner of Louisa; two brothers, William Burner of California and John Burner of Manassas; two sisters, Kathy Trost of Manassas and Abbie Miller of Orange; and three grandchildren, Robbie Gibson, Chris Moss, and Heather Moss.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel, Gordonsville, conducted by Mike Dudley.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday before the memorial service.

Martha H. Clark
Martha Henrietta Via Clark, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002.
She was born June 27, 1915, in Schuyler, where she had lived all her life. She was the daughter of the late Roy L. and Ethel Via.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Clark Sr.; two sons, Percy F. Clark and Albert A. Clark; a brother, Roy L. Via Jr.; and a sister, Halley V. Gallo.
Mrs. Clark attended Schuyler School and was employed by Uniroyal Tire Company, Scottsville, for many years. She was a member of Schuyler Baptist Church.
She was a special, loving, and supportive mother, and grandmother who loved her family dearly, and was their rock in tough times. She leaves a big hole in the hearts of all who loved and admired her strength and sense of humor.
She is survived by her two sons, James E. Clark Jr. and his wife, Gladys, of Charlottesville, and Ronald M. Clark and his wife, Mary, of Schuyler; her daughter, Barbara C. Marks of Charlottesville; two daughters-in-law, Peggy Clark and Eula N. Clark, both of Schuyler; one sister-in-law, Nell Via of Piney River; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Penny Knisley of Rockville, Md., and Diane Duncan of Fairfax.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville, with the Rev. Thomas B. Fowler officiating.
Interment will follow in Alberene cemetery.

Shirley May Mundie Harrup, 62, of Charlottesville, went to be with her Lord Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, after a brief illness.
Born Nov. 6, 1940, in Fluvanna County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clay Mundie and Ethel Thomas Mundie.
She was retired after 30 years of service from the Blue Ridge Sanitarium as an attendant specialist.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, James H. "Jimmy" Harrup of Charlottesville; two stepsons, Al Harrup of Amosville, and Johnny Harrup of Woodridge; two sisters, Louise L. Mundie and her husband, Floyd Walls Jr., of Charlottesville, and Barbara Ann Herring and her husband, Ollie, of Scottsville; three brothers, William H. Mundie and his wife, Rose, Kelley L. Mundie and his wife, Barbara, and Jessie C. Mundie, all of Charlottesville; three step-grandchildren.

Doris B. Holland, 59, of Washington, D.C., departed this life on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, in a Fairfax Hospital.
Born April 23, 1943, she was the daughter of Edgar Samuel Brown Sr. and the late Dorothy Carter Brown.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles N. Martin; and her sister, Gracie Payne.
She is survived by her father, Edgar Samuel Brown Sr. of Palmyra; a devoted friend, Joseph L. Martin of Washington, D.C.; five daughters, Teresa Taylor of Richmond, Lisa Hamilton of Norfolk, Kathy Baskfield of Baltimore, Sharon Swangin of Palmyra, and Lajuando Martin of Washington, D.C.; five brothers, Robert "Buster" Brown, Edgar Samuel Brown Jr., Charles Brown, and Broadus Brown, all of Palmyra, and Johnny Brown of Fork Union; four sisters, Joan "Betty" Key of Palmyra, and Novella, Ella, and Rose Brown, all of Washington, D.C.; one aunt, Nellie Lewis of Fork Union; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday at Evergreen Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Phillip Carter. Interment
will follow in the family cemetery on Route 632.

Michael McKinnley Hughes, the 10-month-old son of Joda McKinnley Hughes and Cynthia Spicer Hughes of Stanardsville, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, in a Charlottesville hospital.
He was born Dec. 19, 2001, in Charlottesville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Stephanie Nycole Hughes of Stanardsville; his maternal grandmother, Sylvia Spicer of Stanardsville; his paternal grandparents, Kenny and Lena Hughes of Dyke; his great-grandmother, Geneva Morris of Dyke; and a number of aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George R. Spicer.

Baby Luke is survived by his parents, Stephen Brannon Pittman and Natalie Campbell Pittman of Crimora.
