Virginia G. Agee
Virginia Geneva Allen Agee, 74, of Keene, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the Reverend John R. Allen and Bertha D. Allen; four brothers, stanley, Dandridge, Richard, and Henry Allen; and one sister, Mary Harris.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Joseph J. Agee Jr.; four cildren, Alonzo R. Agee of Los Angeles, Beverly A. Burton of Richmond, Audrey A. Holmes, of Virginia Beach, and Roger D. Agee of Richmond; one step-daughter, Christine Richardson, of Keswick; two sisters, Beulah Agee, of Keene, and Rosa Reid, of Charlottesville; one brother, Linwood Allen, of Schuyler; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neices, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was a long time member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Keene, where she was a member of the Womens Auxiliary, member and secretary of the Senior Choir, and had also previously served as secretary of the Deaconess Board.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Keene, with the Rev. Otis Donaldson officiating. Interment
will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Agee will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Carroll Wayne Eppard
Caroll Wayne Eppard Sr. went to be with the lord Friday Nov. 1, 2002. He was born in Albemarle County on March 10, 1945.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Henry Kelly Eppard Sr. and Emily Wood Eppard, and his first wife Janice Salmon Eppard.
Surviving him are his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth "Liz" Seiler Eppard; two sons, C. Wayne Eppard (U.S. Navy), and Charles W. "Chuck" Eppard; one daughter, Karen Eppard Brown, and her husband, William; two brothers, H. Kelly Eppard Jr. and his wife, Betty, all of Albemarle County, and Paul Leon Eppard, and his wife, Vickie of Buena Vista; three grandchildren; four nieces and nephews, and many friends and extended family.
Carroll was in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1967. He was employed for the last 35 years as a service technician for the company now known as Ikon Office Solutions. Other than his love of family and friends, his love of music was a predominant factor in his life.
He leaves behind an extended church family at Mount Eagle Baptist Church, where he was a member for the majority of his life.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Mount Eagle Baptist Church with the Rev. Sidney E. Craig officiating, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Mount Eagle Baptist Music Fund 2419 Buck Island Road, Charlottesville, Va. 22902.

Helen May Estes
Helen May Tanner Estes, 77, of Fairfax, died Tuesday Nov. 5, 2002, in Marshall Manors Nursing Home, Marshall.
Born January 20, 1925, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Ashby Tanner Sr. and the late Sally Knighting Tanner.
She was a member ot the Dulin United Methodist Church of Calls Church, and a retired employee of the telephone company.
She is survived by one daughter, Sue Ellen Estes Luthi and her husband, Michael, of Sperryville; one son, Ronald Welford Estes and his wife, Linda, of Gainesville; two sisters, Hazel Tanner Mathias, of Fairfax, and Leona Tanner Estes, of Gordonsville; six grandchildren, Lisa Anne Ramey, John Michael Luthi, Robert Matthew Estes, Kelly Elizabeth Estes, Kathry Leigh Estes and Ann Marie Dauer; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Luther "Bud" tanner, and a sister Virginia Tanner Prather.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Oak Park, in Madison, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Bill Clayton will officiate.

William F. Hale
William F. Hale II, 83, of Madison, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at his residence.
He was born April 19, 1919, in Nokesville, and was the son of the late Joseph Franklin Hale and Mary Jones Hale.
Mr. Hale was owner and operator of Haleson Hills Farm in Madison. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He also served as a General in the Virginia National Guard, and the Virginia Defense Force.
He was a member of Walkers United Methodist Church, the Madison American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. As well as a member of the Brightwood Ruritan Club.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at Preddy Funeral Home, Madison.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Walkers United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Bill Clayton.
Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

Harriette Mynelle Harp, 82, of Orange, formerly of Kentucky and Michigan, died Tuesday Nov. 5, 2002, at her residence.

Ian Erskine Henley
Ian Erskine Henley, 20, of Crozet, died Tuesday Nov. 5, 2002, as result of an automobile accident.
He was born in Albemarle Country to Darla Anne Hicks, and Charles T. Henley, on March 6, 1982.
He is survuved by his parents; and stepmother, Sarah Jones Henley; his sister, Jacqueline Henely; and brothers Brooke and Steele Henely, of Crozet.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Joseph T. Henley Jr. and Joan H. Henley, and Edward B. Hicks and Naomi E. Hicks; and many aunts; uncles; and cousins.
Ian was known and loved by his many friends for his wit and exuberance. He loved music and was an avid war history buff.
He was employed at the great Value Grocery, Crozet.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crozet United Methodist Church, and a Commital service will follow in the Monticello Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Wilford Tiller will officiate. A permanent entombment will take place at Mountain Plain Baptist Church Cemetrey at a later date.

Carrie E. Herndon
Carrie Elizabeth Herndon, 92, of Stanardsville, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at Evergreene Nursing Care Center in Stanardsville.
She was born May 9, 1910, in Greene County, a daughter of the late Curtis and Olie Morton Carpenter.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Herndon; a daughter, Addie Roy; five brothers, Robert, Albert, Floyd, Marvin and John Carpenter; and two sisters, Mary Carenter, and Bertha Louderback.
She is survived by two sons, James Herndon, and Albert Herndon amd his wife, Bernice of Stanardsville; a sister, Pearl Quarreles of Orange; two sisters-in-law, Myrtle Carpenter, and Elsie Carpenter; Nine Grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Shiloh Baptist Church, of which she was a member Interment
will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Harrison Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. today at the home of Albert and Bernice Herndon.

Della Catherine Jones
Della catherine Jones, 84, of Madison, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at Countryside Rest Home in Pratts.
She was born July 11, 1918, in Madison County. She was the daughter of the late Haywood Albert Nicholson and Daisy Myron Sisk Nicholson, and wife of the late Robert Earl Jones.
She is survived by two daughters, Gertha O. Houston, of Pratts, and Loretta C. Brown, of Madison; a son, Jerry R. Jones and wife, Laura, of Oak Park; a brother, Delmar Nicholson, of Oak Park; two sisters, Lina Hurt, of Winchester, and Darlene Kisner, of Steven City; seven grandchildren, Debra Buff Sessions, of Winston-Salem, N.C., Michael Buff of Cantonsville, Md., Teresa Manrique, of Barboursville, Tammy Cooke, of Richardsville, Suzanne L. Conway, of Manassas, Shelly Lohr, of Pratts, and Amanda Houston, of Culpeper; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Buff; a grandchild, Milton Todd Lohr; four sisters, Zanis Fincham, Ester Kidd, Carolyn Johnson, Gertha Nicholson; and two brothers, Stanley Nicholson, and Kelsie Nicholson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Madison Memorial Gardens, Conducted by the Rev. Henry Daniel Aylor.

Rose S. Miller
Rose S. Miller, Formerly of Richmond, and Virginia Beach, and resident of Boca Raton Fla., died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002.
She was married
to the late Henry Carlyle Miller for over 30 years.
Rose is survived by her loving Daughter, Margot Leigh Richard Coffin, of Boca Raton, Fla.; cherished grandchildren, Carlyle and Colby Coffin; a son, Richard, of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Pearl and Lottie Mottsman; a brother, Simon Siegel, and all who knew and loved her.
Interment will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Norfolk.

Helen M. Onufrock
Helen M. Onufrock, 94, of Charlottesville, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge.
She was born May 20, 1908, in Chicago, the daughter of the late John and Ethel Moore,
Mrs. Onufrock graduated from the University of Chicago and later received her Masters Degree in social work from the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
She worked almost continually as a social worker in medical and psychiatric settings in Chicago, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Later in Boston she was a supervisor at Beth Isreal Hospital for many years and then the chief social worker at the Marlboro Mental Health Center.
She was on the social work faculties at Case Western, the University of Cincinnati, and Simmons Vollege. She was proud of the fact that she worked full time until age 80. In her retirement she moved to Charlottesville where she briefly did volunteer work with the Charlottesville Department of Social Services.
She was happily married
for 36 years to Harry Onufrock, who was a business executive in the greeting card industry, and then the business manager of the Marlboro Mental Health Center. His work took him around the world and they lived for several years in Europe. In her later years, Mrs. Onufrock continued to enjoy travel and took her last major trip to Russia at age 86.
She was extremely fond of gardening and a passionate friend of animals. Her favorite times were the annual family trips to Deer Isle, Maine. She lived her life to the fullest and imparted her spirit of adventure to all her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Reppucci, and her husband, Dick, of Charlottesville; her son Jack Onufrock and his wife, Betty, of Shorewood, Wisc.; her grandchildren, Nick Reppucci, of Charlottesville, Hon Reppucci, of Denver, Anna Reppucci Chapman and her husband, Rusty, and their daughter Marlow, of St. Paul, Minn., Jennifer Onufrock, of Shorewood, Wisc., Jonathan Onufrock, of Hamilton, Ohio; as well as her sister Shirley Sholtus, of Arcadia, Calif. She will be much missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Onufrocks family wishes to thank those of Westminster Cantebury Catered Living and Health Care, and Hospice of the Piedmont, (as well as others) who worked so hard to make the last months of her life meaningful and confortable.
There will be a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at Westminster Cantebury of the Blue Ridge.
