Funeral services for James Tucker "Jimmy" Woodson will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment
will follow at the Hillsboro cemetery, with Robert Mansfield officiating.

Joseph R. Bivona
Joseph R. Bivona, 76, of 1660 Black Cat Road, Charlottesville, entered into eternal rest Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Martha Jefferson Hospital.
Mr. Bivona was born in Newburgh, N.Y., and was the son of the late Andrew Bivona and Rosa Bivona (formerly Maccaronne), and was married
to Alice Morse, residing in Florida.
He was a Radar Crew Chief in the U.S. Army. He retired from the United States Military Academy at West Point as a HVAC Technician in the HVAC Division. Mr. Bivona enjoyed the outdoors and was a die-hard Republican who faithfully watched O'Rielly, Fox and Friends, and Crossfire.
Joe is survived by his brother, Andrew Bivona and his wife, Joni; four children, Deborah Work and her husband, Stephen, Cindy Kirker and her husband, Richard, Christopher Bivona and his wife, Deneen, and Alan Bivona, the youngest; six grandchildren, Jason Work, Chris Work, Nicholas Work, Stephanie Work, Carey-Jo Kirker, and Dreena Bivona.
A private service will be held to honor his life.

Mary C. Blatz
Mary Catherine Blatz, 49, of Orange, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Born Oct. 22, 1953, in Hemmingway, S.C., she was the daughter of Clyde T. Pipes and Mary G. "Betty" Pipes, of Rapidan.
She worked as a pharmacist at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
She is survived by one son, Warren D. "Buddy" Blatz III of Orange; and one sister, Cynthia Pipes Johnson and her husband, Charles E. Johnson of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Cathy was a member of the Lower Rapidan Baptist Church, a graduate of Orange County High School and the Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy.
Cathy was a wonderful and dedicated mother, daughter, sister, and friend. We will always remember her laughter, wit, smiles and sweet spirit.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Dorothy Campbell
Dorothy McGuire Campbell, 82, of Beech Grove, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born Nov. 16, 1920, in Monroe, she was a daughter of the late Harry N. McGuire and Nomecha Johnson McGuire.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Basil Martin Campbell, on May 27, 1997; a brother, Harry N. McGuire Jr.; and a sister, Helen Carwile.
Mrs Campbell was a member of Beech Grove Christian Church.
She is survived by one son, Rodney Campbell and his wife, Janet of Waynesboro; three daughters, Nancy Davis and her husband, Marvin, of Shipman, Peggy Butt and her husband, Donald, of Lynchburg, and Lori Megginson and her husband, William of Faber; one sister, Hilda Guill of Appomattox; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beech Grove Christian Church. Interment
will follow in Beech Grove cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Byrum-Parr Funeral Home in Roseland.
William T. Clark Sr.
William Travis Clark, 75, of Harrisonburg, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, in Harrisonburg.
Born July 4, 1927, in Harrisonburg, he was the son of the late Clarence Preston and Muriel Snyder Clark.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Brown Memorial United Methodist Church of Christ in McGaheysville, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 4150, American Legion Post 27, The Blue Knight's International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Inc., Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 13. He was a deputy with the Rockingham County Sheriffs Department and later retired from the James Madison University Police Department.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Sipe Clark, who he married
Aug. 28, 1971; a daughter, Ann C. See of Harrisonburg; a son, William T. Clark Jr. of Charlottesville; four grandchildren, Sarah C. Clark, Thaddeus A. Clark, Bethany A. Clark, and Tara Sheets; and one great-grandchild, Ashley Sheets.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg conducted by the Rev. Dale Barrington. Burial will follow in Woodbine cemetery in Harrisonburg.

Troy Compton
Troy Compton, 88, of Orange, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at the Orange County Nursing Home.
Born June 2, 1914, in Tazwell, he was the son of the late Alvy and Martish Compton.
Mr. Compton was a retired farmer.
He is survived by four daughters, Shirley Louise Gooding and her husband, Otis, of Madison, Naomi Jane Aylor and her husband, Robert, of Culpeper, Patsy Marlene Jones of Orange, and Eunice Craig Chisolm and her husband, Carroll of Charlottesville; four sons, Hubert Curtis Compton and his wife, Lu, Harry Lee Compton and his wife, Sharon, Troy Douglas Compton and his wife, Geneva, and Dellis Patton Compton and his wife, Sharon, all of Orange; a brother-in-law, Melvin Hall of Bluefield; sisters-in-law, Thelma Asella Eldreth of Tazwell, and Bertha Compton of Maxmeadows; 21 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday from the Orange Baptist Church with interment in Graham cemetery. The Rev. Tracy Gooding will officiate.

Harrison J. Cox
Harrison James Cox, 83, of Shipman, departed this life Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at the Lovingston Health Care Center.
Born July 20, 1919, in Nelson County, he was a son of the late Willie Cox and Charlotte Braddock Cox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Brown Cox in 1986; and by his brothers, William and Eugene Cox.
He was retired from the Southern Railroad and S. L. Williamson and Company. He was a member of Montreal Baptist Church at Shipman.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Shirley Mae Elcox of Shipman, Charlotte Foster of Arrington, and Margaret Thomas of Germantown, Md.; his son, Harrison W. Cox of Collage Park, Md.; two brothers, Calvin Cox of Madison Heights, and Rexford Cox of Silver Springs, Md.; 11 grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday from Montreal Baptist Church with the Rev. Ruth Massie officiating, and the Rev. Horace Spears serving as Eulogist. Interment
will follow in Little Zion Baptist Church cemetery on Hubbards Hill.
Friends may call the church after 11 a.m. Wednesday for viewing and visitations and all other times at the residence of Shirley Elcox at Shipman.

Marvin Elliott Faudree, 76, of Orange, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at the Culpeper Health Care Center.
Born Dec. 31, 1926, in Orange County, he was the son of the late John Franklin Faudree and the late Maggie Crockett Faudree.
Mr. Faudree attended Bethel United Methodist Church, and was an Army Veteran. He retired from Rigid-Kollman and the Orange County School Board.
He is survived by his wife, Freeda Miller Faudree of Orange, Two brothers, Frank Faudree of Unionville, and Walter Faudree of Charlottesville; four sisters, Philipipa Brown of Unionville, Jane Honeycutt, and Marion Faudree, both of Raleigh, N.C., Hardena Coleman of Belmont.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel, Orange, with interment in Oakwood cemetery in Unionville. The Rev. Linda Ray and the Rev. David Boston will officiate.

Born Sept. 8, 1936, in Albemarle county, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wood and May W. Sandridge.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Charles D. Sandridge, and a sister, Dorothy M. Sandridge.
Survivors include, two brothers, Mark W. Sandridge and his wife, Alice, of Harrisonburg, and Thomas A. Sandridge, of Charlottesville; a sister, Patricia D. Patty, of Norfolk; three nieces; and two great-nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Riverview cemetery, with the Rev. Sidney Craig officiating.
