A mass for Mitchell Lee Wood will be held at 1 p.m. today, June 13, 2003 at Holy Comforter Catholic Church with Father Murphy officiating. Interment
will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens.

Michael N. Corrigan
Michael Neal Corrigan, 45, of Palmyra, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at his home.
He was born December 14, 1957 in Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Frederic Corrigan and a sister, Mary Ann Corrigan.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanne Greening of Lake Monticello; one daughter, Casey Lynn Corrigan Petz of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, David Hughes Corrigan of Palmyra; and a long time companion, Roberta Sadler of Arvonia.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, at the Sheridan Funeral Home Chapel, Kents Store, Va., conducted by the Rev. Marion Brown.
Iola Perry Farrar
A memorial service for Iola Perry Farrar will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah痴 Witness, Fifth Street Extended with Mr. Kenneth Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service today at the Kingdom Hall.

Halsey W. Kent II
Halsey W. Kent II., also known as "Squire" Kent, 72, of Advance Mills, Va., formerly of Short Hills, N.J., passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Halsey was born November 27, 1930 in New Jersey to Halsey and Esther Kent.
He is survived by two sons, Chaney S. and Jason S. Kent; daughter-in-law, Betty J. Kent; and two grandchildren, Grace Anne and Chaney S. Kent Jr.
Halsey attended The University of Virginia from 1949 to 1954. Halsey had several different occupations throughout his life, first and foremost was the raising of his two children. His most recent occupation was at Oyster House Antiques in Charlottesville, Va.
He spent most of his life in Short Hills, N.J., until recently moving to Virginia in 1998 to be closer to his family. He will always be remembered as a kind, thoughtful, and loving individual.
Memorial services will be held at Christ Church in Short Hills, N.J., on Monday, June 16, 2003 at 10:30 a.m.
Audre M. Rothamel
Audre「 M. Rothamel, 82, of Palmyra, Va., died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at the Colonnades in Charlottesville, Va.
Born October 9, 1920 in Queens County, N.Y., to the late Fredrick and Jennie Mohr. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rothamel; and sisters, Alice Mohr and Jean Schmidt.
Mrs. Rothamel is a retired secretary with Middle Country Central School District #11, Centereach, N.Y. She was a member of Barbershop Belles and a former member of the Second Wind band of the Albemarle Senior Center. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlottesville, Va.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Rothamel and his wife, Sue, of Chittenango, N.Y., Raymond Rothamel and his wife, Sheryl Maningo, of Keeseville, N.Y. and Lawrence Rothamel and his wife, Nina, of Palmyra, Va.; five grandchildren, Matthew Rothamel, Rebecca Conklin, Daniel Rothamel, Elisabeth LeMerle-Snyder and Bryan Rothamel.
She will always be remembered as a proud woman who was most proud of her family and many friends. We know that as she enters the House of the Lord, the love she shared on earth will continue to guide all of those whose lives she touched.
A funeral service of praise and thanksgiving will be held today, June 14, at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Rod Houppert officiating.

Betty B. Baggett
A graveside service for Betty B. Baggett will be conducted at 3 p.m. at Sherwood cemetery in Salem, Va., today.

Elwood B. Dean
Elwood Boyd Dean, 75, of Charlottesville, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, in Charlottesville.
Born January 30, 1928, in Rockingham County, he was the son of the late Ollie Boyd Dean and the late Elsie Wyant Dean.
He was retired from Con-Agra in Crozet and was an avid huntsman and outdoor person.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Powell Dean; one son, Edward Boyd Dean, both of Charlottesville; two brothers, Denson Dean of Barboursville, and burl Dean of Keswick.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at 2 p.m. from the Preddy Funeral Chapel in Orange with interment in Maplewood cemetery in Gordonsville. The Rev. Olin Herndon will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, 250 W. Main St., Orange, Va.

Martha M. Graves
Martha Mattell Graves, 76, of Crozet, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2003, at her home.
She was born December 29, 1926, in Albemarle County, a daughter of the late Leroy and Cassie L. Morris Brown. Her husband was the late William Aubrey Graves.
She is survived by five sons, William A. Graves Jr., and his wife, Brenda, of Wolftown, James M. "Jimmy" Graves and his wife, Helene, of East Leroy, Mich., Albert L. Graves, of Greenwood, Va., David W. Graves and his wife, Lois, of Scottsville, and Terry L. Graves and his wife, Patricia, of Ruckersville; a daughter, Nancy A. Garrison of Crozet; a brother, Guy E. Brown of Charlottesville; three sisters, Annie L. Darnell, Barbara A. Coerper and her husband, Don, of Charlottesville, and Ruby Cavalero, of Las Vegas, Nev.; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Bethel; five brothers, Frank Brown, Gordon Brown, Richard Brown, John Brown and Robert Brown; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, James Garrison.
Mrs. Graves was a manager of Humpty-Dumpty on Rt. 29 for 25 years and was a member of Oak Park Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Funeral Chapel in Quinque, with interment in Rose Park cemetery in Wolftown.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Hospice of the Piedmont or the Kidney Center at the UVa Medical Center.

Elizabeth G. Hunter
Elizabeth Gibbons Hunter, formerly of Winston-Salem, N.C., died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at her sons home in Wilmington, N.C.
She was born in Pleasant Garden, N.C., on October 1, 1929, the daughter of the late William Lee Gibbons and Winnie Fields Gibbons.
Libby graduated from Pleasant Garden High School and was employed by Piedmont Airlines, retiring from USAir in 1991. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem.
Surviving are her sons and their families, Randy Hunter and his wife, Debbie, and their children, Patrick, Alex and Mollie; Jeff Hunter and his wife, Ellison of Wilmington, N.C., and their children, Adam and Lee; and Brian Hunter and his wife, Janice, of Scottsville, Va., and their children, Wilson and Rachel; Her sister, Audrey Gibbons Staruch of Greensboro, N.C.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Frances K. Mitchell
Frances Katherine Mitchell, 78, of Scottsville, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at a local hospital.
Born September 30, 1924 in Albemarle County to the late Reuben and Mary Davis Melton. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Reuben Melton and Bernard Melton.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her loving husband, Charles Mitchell, formerly of Spotsylvania, Va.; five children and sprouses, Kenneth "Doc" Mitchell and Diane, of Rhoadesville, Va., Alice Harlow and Danny, of Spotsylvania, Va., Theresa Lee and Gene, of Alexandria, Va., Jeffrey Mitchell, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Victor Mitchell and Dusty, of Scottsville, Va.; one brother, Hunter Melton of Charlottesville, Va.; three sisters, Mildred Tapscott, of Scottsville, Va., Phyliss Harmon, of Crozet, Va., and Sally Lively, of Charlottesville, Va.; two special sister-in-laws, Doris Melton and Lucille Melton, both of Charlottesville; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hill & Wood Funeral Home, Charlottesville, Va.

Margaret O誰eill
Margaret Page Mordecai O誰eill, 58, died Friday, June 13, 2003, at her home in Falmouth, Va.
Page was born in Baltimore, Md., on February 8, 1945, the daughter of George Patterson Mordecai Jr., and Margaret Page Casey Mordecai.
After the death of her mother in 1951, her uncle, Alfred Merriman Casey, and her aunt, Florence Kelsey Casey, raised her in Crozet, Va. Following graduation from Albemarle High School in 1963, she attended the University of Maryland and later graduated from both art and business colleges. Page began her career as a legal secretary and as a reader, raised-line drawing artist, and office manager for Recording for the Blind in Charlottesville, Va. In 1968, she married
James George O誰eill, III, her husband of 35 years. In Stafford County, Page operated a calligraphy studio where she designed and prepared certificates, wedding invitations, brochures, and business cards. From 1977 until 1991, Page held numerous educational and administrative positions in the Stafford County School System.
In addition to her husband, Page is survived by a daughter, Katherine Page O誰eill and a son-in-law, Ronald Lane Nolen of St. Paul, Minn.; a son, James George O誰eill, IV, of Cary, N.C.; and a brother, William Bradford Mordecai of Baltimore, Md.
There will be a memorial service at Covenant Funeral Home at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2003.
