Nannette Smith Fitzgerald, 48, of Palmyra, died Friday, March 19, 2004.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew "Andy" Lee Fitzgerald; her parents, Wendell and Phyllis Smith of Marion, Ind.; one step-daughter, Rebecca Waters of Maryland; one sister, Brenda Rueshing; two brothers, Daryl and Gary Smith, all of Indiana; and one step-grandchild, Eoin Michael Fitzgerald Waters.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was employed by Scott & Stringfellow Inc.
Services will be held at a later date.

Sarah Jett Frost
Sarah Jett Frost died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at her home in the Wilmington section of Fluvanna County.
Sarah was born Jan. 29, 1935, in Norfolk, Va., and lived there most of her life. She was the founder and for 20 years the head of the highly respected Ghent Montessori School in Norfolk. After her retirement in 1999, she moved to Fluvanna County.
Sara Frost is survived by her brother, Rice Arthur Jett Jr. of Norfolk; her husband, Laurence W. Frost; her daughters, Sarah Eames of New York City and Megan Trebble of Charlottesville and her sons, Robert L. Frost of Raleigh, N.C., and Matthew W. Frost of Bluefield, W.Va.; and her nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Norfolk at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004, with interment at the U.S. Naval Academy Columbarium at a later date with the immediate family.

Ruby C. Garnett
Following a family-only graveside burial service for Ruby Christina Cornett Garnett, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Trinity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Hall and the Rev. Tony Giles officiating. A reception will take place in the church social hall immediately following the service.

Louise W. Griffith
Louise W. Griffith, 89, died unexpectedly in an Alexandria hospital Wednesday, March l7, 2004, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Baxter Griffith.
She was born Nov. 11, 1914, in Charlotte County, to the late J.T. Williams and Bessie Chappell Williams.
She is survived by a son, R. Baxter Griffith Jr. of Springfield, Va.; a daughter, Brenda Wright of Gordonsville, Va.; a sister, Marion Watson of Dallas, Texas; one brother, James T. Williams of Christiansburg, Va.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was a longtime resident of the Crozet community and faithful member of Crozet Baptist Church. She was a teacher and librarian until she retired from Henrico Public Schools.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at Crozet Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. today at Crozet Baptist Church. Interment
will follow in Rockgate cemetery, Crozet, with Dr. Roy S. Thomas III and the Rev. David Collyer officiating.

Ruby Mae Johnson
Ruby Mae Johnson, 61, of Orange, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at Tritinity Missions Nursing Home, Charlottesville.
She was a retired employee of Comdial.

Arvel E. Lettner
Arvel Edward Lettner, 75, of Louisa, died Friday, March 19, 2004, in the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
He was born May 9, 1928, in Friendship, Tenn., a son of the late William Lettner and Rachel Clark Lettner.
Mr. Lettner is survived by his wife, Lula Ellen Lettner of Louisa; two daughters, Odine Taylor and her husband, Lonnie, of Stanardsville, Lois Berry and her husband, Mason, of Front Royal; two sons, Edward Arvel Lettner and his wife, Audrey, of Gordonsville, Allen Lettner and his wife, Diane, of Trevilians; one brother, Clyde Lettner of Taswell; one sister, Dorothy Henry of Orange; six grandchildren, Eddie Thomas whom he helped raise, Belinda Berry, Ellen Thompson, Donnie Lettner, Rachel Lettner, Andy Lettner and six great-grandchildren, Savannah Thomas, Christina Thomas, Garrett Mitchell, Jordan Lettner, T.J. Lettner and Steven Lettner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven D. "Red" Lettner and a sister, Ethal Earls.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2004, in the Craigs Baptist Church cemetery, Mine Run, officiated by the Rev. Frank Walton.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Preddy Funeral Home, Chapel in Orange.

Grace Kerns
Grace Kerns, 71, of Orange, entered eternal life with the Lord on Friday, March 19, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nellie Thacker of Orange; and two brothers, Clarence of Orange and Howard of Baltimore, Md.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Harry E. Kerns Sr.; a daughter, Robin Lloyd and her husband, Ronnie, of Orange; a son, Harry E. Kerns Jr. and his wife, Teresa, of Manteo, N.C.; a brother, Henry Thacker and his wife, Ethel, of Landsdowne, Md.; a sister, Marie Richards and her husband, Herman, of Barboursville; three granddaughters, April Houston and her husband, Shawn, Melissa Carpenter and her husband, Grant, and Elsie Lloyd, all of Orange, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Orange Assembly of God Church, conducted by Pastor Greg Vogt, with burial at North Pamunkey Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are Herman "Spike" and Matt Richards, Tom Schweinfuss, John Wilson, Shawn Houston, Grant Carpenter, John Cliser and Richard Vogt.

Marion G. Robertson
Marion Gregory Robertson, 71, of Route 3, Scottsville, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at her home.
Born Dec. 9, 1932, in Manteo, Va., she was the daughter of the late Rolfe Gregory and Bessie Ragland Gregory and the widow of John Boatwright Robertson.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Sidney Wooten and Ray Gregory and her sisters, Evelyn and Viola Reid.
She is survived by a son, John Wayne Robertson and his wife, Joan; a daughter, Deborah Goin and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Melanie Allen and her husband, Branden, Ashley and John Michael Goin; one-great grandson, Nathan Allen Cole; two brothers, Vernon Gregory of Warrenton and Jack Gregory of Buckingham.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Glenmore United Methodist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. James Radford and the Rev. Michael Jordon will officiate.
The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2004, at the Dunkum Funeral Home.
Homer Sandridge Sr.
Homer M. Sandridge Sr., 88, of Crozet, died at his residence Wednesday, March 17, 2004.
Born Jan. 25, 1916, in Mount Fair, Va., he was the son of the late Laurie K. and Vertie B. Sandridge. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Dabney, Horace, Moses and James; one sister, Agnes; and a son-in-law, David Stone.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Agnes Wine Sandridge; a son, Homer Sandridge Jr. and his wife, Sherry, of Arnold, Md.; a daughter, Linda Stone of Frederick, Md., brothers, Laurie K. and his wife, Helen, of San Antonio, Texas, and Sidney and his wife, Gladys, of Harvest, Ala.; sisters, Mary Sandridge and Dorothy Beitzel and her husband, Roderick, of Crozet. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Sara Stone of Frederick, Md., Jason Sandridge of Arlington, Va., and Gray Sandridge and his wife, Aileen, of Seattle, Wash.
He was a member of Crozet United Methodist Church since l946, and was very active in that church for many years. He served in the U.S. Army in l945-1946, and was a member of Greenwood Ruritan Club. He enjoyed 42 years of service with Dupont in Waynesboro. After retiring in l977, he worked part-time at Crozet Foods. He enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and always had a pretty lawn.
There will be a private burial for immediate family.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at the Crozet United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Rash officiating.
Family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Lillie Taylor
Lillie Pearl Marks Taylor, 82, of Stanardsville, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at her residence.
Born June 3, 1921, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Kate Marks and her husband was the late William Leon Taylor.
She was a member of Fairview Christian Church in Hood. Lillie was a dedicated and loving grandmother, mother, friend, and a member of the distinguished dozen. Lillie retired from the Greene County school district with 50 years of service.
She is survived by one brother, James marks and his wife, Mary, of Stanardsville; two grandchildren, Tammy Shifflett and her partner, Leonard Randel, Lisa Weakley and her husband, Charles, all of Stanardsville; three great-grandchildren, Kasey Lynn Weakley, Heather Marie Shifflett and Kaitlyn Michelle Shifflett, and one niece, Pat Marks, all of Stanardsville; and one aunt, Florence Clore of Madison.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel, Madison, conducted by Dr. Tommy Palmer with interment in Liberty cemetery in Middle River.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pauline Weaver
Pauline Via Weaver died Thursday, March 18, 2004. She was born March 30, 1903.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Raymond Norton of Gordonsville; her granddaughter, Patrica Young of Keswick; her grandson and his wife, Bruce and Pamela Campbell of Phoenixville, Pa.; her great-grandchildren, Michele Ritter of Gordonsville, Jacquelyn Berry and her husband, Mark, of Palmyra and Jennifer Osinski of Norristown, Pa.; her great-great-grandchildren, Mallory and Blake Berry, both of Palmyra.
Following a family-only burial, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2004, at Christ Episcopal Church, Gordonsville.
