Edna Perry Crist, 90, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998 at the Carrington. She was the wife of the late Harry Stanford Crist and was a retired nurse with Central Virginia Training Center. Mrs. Crist was born Oct. 26, 1908 in Edenton, N.C. to the late William Alfred Perry and the late Lavinia Speight Perry. She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Sara Crist Carey and John A. Carey Jr. of Amherst and a grandson, Vincent Dwayne Carey of Atlanta, Ga. A private interment service will be held in the Presbyterian Cemetery. John William Hendricks
John William Hendricks, 68, of 1201 Long Meadows Drive, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia Hendricks. Mr. Hendricks was born in Nelson County, March 20, 1930 to the late James Edward and Polly Elizabeth Lawhorne Hendricks. He was a truck mechanic with Harris Trucking, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of American Legion Post 16. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Connie Sue Walker of Baltimore, Md., Hazel McCraw of Rustburg; a stepson, William Newton Mayberry Jr. of Monroe; two brothers, Robert Lewis Hendricks of Hurt, Charles Hendricks of Greenbriar, Ark.; two grandchildren and his former wife, Ella Mae Arthur of Rustburg. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. James Gerhart officiating. Josephine Davis Johnson
Josephine Davis Johnson, 76, of Bedford, departed this life Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998 at Oakwood Manor Adult Home. Born Aug. 19, 1922 in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Davis and Mary Stinnette Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Laughlin. She was owner and operator of Johnson’s Grocery for many years and a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, James Wardell Johnson; a daughter, Betty L. Johnson; two grandchildren, Heather J. Berry and James William Johnson both of Bedford; two great-grandchildren, Jorden and Harlee Berry both of Bedford; three brothers, Edward Davis of Forest, William Davis of Bedford and Sammy Davis of Forest and a special niece, Nancy Hensley of Md. Marshall Eugene Jordan
Marshall Eugene Jordan, 61, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998 in Charles County, Md. He was born in Halifax County, July 5, 1927, son of the late Robert M. Jordan and Florence Armstrong Jordan. He is survived by two aunts, Onnie J. Martin and Ada H. Jordan both of Lynchburg and several nieces and nephews in Fla. A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 1998 at Clover Bottom Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. James Crocker.

Christie Coffey Patterson
Christie Coffey Patterson, 95, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Patterson was born July 2, 1903 in Louisa County to the late F.M. Coffey and Emma Campbell Coffey. She was a charter member of Memorial Christian Church and a choir soloist. Mrs. Patterson was a graduate of Lynchburg College, an employee of Guggenheimers Department store and was a permanent member of Coffey’s Store. She is survived by her daughter, Norma P. Wells of Lynchburg; two half sisters, Janice Gaines and Robbie Roseberry both of Memphis, Tenn.; three granddaughters and their husbands, Terry Jean Wells Vasold and her husband, Randy, Lisa Kay Wells Wood and her husband, Larry, Sheila Gayle Wells Bourguignon and her husband, Jim, 10 great-grandchildren, a special nephew and his wife, Kenneth E. and Arlene Roach of Fla. and a special niece, Ida Faye Roach of Lynchburg. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gene E. Wells. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998 at Memorial Christian Church with the Rev. David L. Curtis officiating. Mildred Riggle Brown
Mildred Riggle Brown, 82, of Roanoke, beloved mother and wife, departed this life Friday, Nov. 13, 1998 following a series of strokes, with family at her side. Born in Wythe County, she was the daughter of the late Garland and Nettye Riggle. She was a graduate of William Byrd High School and was employed by Puritan Mills and Kenrose Manufacturing. She was an active member of Riverdale Baptist Church for many years. She loved her church and her Lord. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Emmett A. Brown; brother, Garland E. Riggle Jr., Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Roger Simpson, Blacksburg, Meriel and Wayne Wiley, Lynchburg; three beloved grandchildren, Stephen C. Wiley and wife, Genna, Richmond, Meredith K. Wiley, Lynchburg and Scott C. Simpson, Blacksburg. Special thanks to Dr. Gerald Roller for his medical expertise dispensed with care and humor and to the health care professionals who cared for and challenged her at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Rehab Center, Professional Therapies and Pheasant Ridge Rehab Center. Leezetter Jennings Wade
Leezetter Jennings Wade, 86, of 2740 Waterlick Road, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Claytor Terrell Wade. She was born April 16, 1912 in Lynchburg, the daughter of the late Rufus D. Jennings and Dora Herrin Jennings. She was a lifelong member of Lynchburg Wesleyan Church. She is survived by one son, Dr. Richard T. Wade and his wife, Susan of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Jenny W. Mason of Forest; one sister, Laura J. Moss of Lovingston, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Lynchburg Wesleyan Church by Pastor Richard Vannoy, Pastor Barry Lawson and Pastor Paul Wheeler. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Faydene Alexander
Mrs. Faydene Alexander of 103 Smyth Street, Apt. A, Lynchburg, died Wednesday. She was the wife of William T. Alexander. Born in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Alpha Lewis Frances. She was a faithful member of New Vine Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Usher Board and the Senior Choir. In addition to her loving and devoted husband, she is survived by seven children, Jerry Alexander and his wife, Shirley of Huntsville, Ala., Ms. Lois Alexander of Fayetteville, N.C., Ms. Sharon Alexander, Mrs. Bonita Ellis and Derrick Alexander all of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Karen Ford and William Alexander Jr. both of Lynchburg; three sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Ferguson, Mrs. Sandra Smith and her husband, Leon and Mrs. Costella Lewis all of Lynchburg; three brothers, Paul Lewis and his wife, Shirley, Carlton Lewis and George Lewis all of Lynchburg, 15 grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving friends at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Karen Ford at 1513 Radcliff Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday from New Vine Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Johnson officiating with interment in the church cemetery. Judith Hilmon Burtchett
Judith Hilmon Burtchett, 52, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998 at the Central Virginia Training Center, Madison Heights. Judith was born March 26, 1946 in Richmond and was the daughter of Laverne Andrews Burtchett of Richmond and the late James Hilmon Burtchett. She is survived by one sister, Joyce B. Fuller of Charlottesville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday from Woody Funeral Home’s Parham Road Chapel in Richmond by the Rev. Preston Taylor. Interment will be in the West Hampton Memorial Park, Richmond. Whitten Park Avenue Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

William Frederick Faulkner
William Frederick Faulkner, 54, of 1154 Hawkins Road, Evington, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Born in Paterson, N.J., Dec. 31, 1943, he was a son of the late William John Faulkner and Emily Marion Paul Faulkner and was the husband of Mary E. Faulkner. Mr. Faulkner was a Marine Corp. veteran and was a retired sergeant with the Lynchburg City Sheriff’s office. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Karen F. Borie of West Milford, N.J. and Diane F. Scozzari of Kennelon, N.J.; a brother, Ronald Faulkner and five nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Virginia Memorial Park, Rt. 221, with Sheriff Lawrence W. Simpson Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel.

Addie Jordan Kendrick
Addie Jordan Kendrick, 89, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998 in a local nursing home. She was born in Bedford County, Feb. 24, 1909, a daughter of the late John Quincy Mayhew and Lula Carter Mayhew. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Edward Kendrick and a son, Winston Kendrick. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie K. and Clyde Thompson, Bedford, Claudine K. and Burton Preston, Huddleston; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Kendrick, Bedford; a sister, Elzie M. Schlosser; a sister-in-law, Jean B. Mayhew; three granddaughters, five grandsons and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998 at Greenwood Cemetery by the Rev. Garry Shelton. Rudolph V. Morse Sr.
Rudolph V. Morse Sr. of 3694 S. Powell Island Road, Arrington, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998. He was the husband of Janet Morse. Born Nov. 30, 1925, he was the son of the late Fletcher and Lucy Gooden Morse. He was a member of New Mount Baptist Church. He retired from Griffin Pipe Foundry. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Abigail Thompson; four sons, Rudolph, Daryl, Zachary and Percy; two daughters-in-law, eight grandchildren, one great-grandson and one devoted brother, Percy Morse. His remains rest at Winfee-Wright Funeral Service, 162 Depot Street, Amherst. His remains will lie in state one hour prior to scheduled service time. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998 at New Mount Baptist Church, Arrington by the Rev. William Webb. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Armand Mustain
GRETNA — William Armand Mustain, 76, of 507 Henry Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998 at his residence. Born Jan. 17, 1922 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late William Munford Mustain and Jesse Moon Mustain. Mr. Mustain was a retired mail carrier with the US Postal Service, a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 232 and a member of Anderson Masonic Lodge 258 AF & AM. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gretna, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, former deacon and Lay Minister. He is survived by his wife, Emma Hart Mustain of the residence; two sons, Bill Mustain of Jackson, Miss. and Tony Mustain of Richmond; one sister, Evelyn Lee of Lynch Station and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998 at the First Baptist Church of Gretna by the Rev. Glenn Graves and the Rev. W.D. Lilly. Interment with military honors by VFW Post 4165 and DAV Chapter 46 will follow in Gretna Burial Park. L.C. Reynolds, 69, of Rt. 2, Rustburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998 in his home. He was the husband of Veronica Partash Reynolds. Born Dec. 21, 1928 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Samson and Fannie Ellington Reynolds. He was a retired employee of Delta Star Inc., formerly H.K. Porter, Inc. and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kenneth B. Reynolds of Rustburg; three daughters, Joanne Ravencraft of N.J., Monica Gregus of Pa. and Deborah Amato of Harrisonburg; three sisters, Francie Cox of Gladys, Sadie Garland and Carrie Gallier both of Lynchburg, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. A private graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. Allen Blanks with military honors provided by American Legion Post #16. Charles “Doc” Woodall
Charles Dodson “Doc” Woodall, 78, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998. Twice married, he was the husband of the late Jennifer Hicks Woodall and is survived by his wife, Harriett Harvey Woodall. Born Oct. 10, 1919 in Richmond, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Annie Tuggle Woodall. “Doc” was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He attended North Bedford Baptist Church. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday from the North Bedford Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Stinson. KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Paul E. Anderson, 75, resident of Eden Gardens, Kings Mountain, N.C., died Nov. 10, 1998 at Kings Mountain Hospital. He was a native of Franklindale, Pa., son of the late Leon George and Anna Welch Anderson, husband of the late Grace Lana Anderson, a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from Owens-Illinois. Survivors include two sons, Richard Anderson and wife, Sue, Kings Mountain, N.C., Robert Anderson and wife, Monica, Brockport, N.Y.; three brothers, Stan Anderson, Pat Anderson both of Rochester, N.Y., Donald Anderson, Sodus, N.Y. and three grandchildren, Becky Anderson, Kings Mountain, N.C., Doug Anderson, Brockport, N.Y. and Cara Malone, Rochester, N.Y. Charles Lindbergh “Lindy” Bryant Sr., 70, of 636 Amelon Road, Madison Heights, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998 from his home. He was the husband of Gloria Spencer Bryant. Born may 26, 1928 in Amherst County, he was a son of the late William C. and Ethel Modlin Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a retired mechanic with Hawkins and Graves Inc. and was a charter member of Temple Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl G. Bryant, Vaughan T. Bryant, William C. Bryant and one sister, Inez V. Bryant. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bryant is survived by one daughter, Wanda B. Burnett and her husband, Tom of Madison Heights; two sons, Jerry W. Bryant and his wife, Linda of Lynchburg and Charles L. Bryant Jr. and his wife, Lucy of Madison Heights; one brother, David L. Earl DeWitt Cheatham, 58, of Big Island, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born in Bedford County, Jan. 10, 1940, a son of Henry Joseph Cheatham, Bedford and the late Plummie Henson Cheatham. He was preceded in death by a son, Clinton Wray Cheatham. He was a retired employee of Georgia-Pacific and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Sedalia Baptist Church and a life member of the Big Island Rescue Squad. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Nixon Cheatham; a son, Kenny C. Cheatham and his wife, Tammy, Coleman Falls; a daughter, Twila C. MacLarion and her husband, Freddie, Big Island; a daughter-in-law, Van Cheatham, Satterfield; a brother, Robert Cheatham, Big Island; a sister, Sarah C. He was born in Campbell County, Dec. 19, 1922, son of the late Raymond Johnson and Carrie Mason Johnson. He was a member of Falling River Baptist Church and a retired employee of Triangle Ford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Billy Johnson of Lynchburg, Wayne Johnson and his wife, Laura of Irwin, Pa.; one grandson, Derek Johnson of Irwin, Pa.; one brother, Oscar Johnson of Brookneal; two sisters, Mildred Booker of Brookneal and Florence Guthrie of Brookneal. Menden Massie Campbell, 88, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Cam E. Campbell and resided at Runk & Pratt Residential Home for the past three years. Mrs. Campbell was born Feb. 28, 1910 in Woodson, to the late A.C. (Clint) Massie and Mary Campbell Massie. She was a loyal member of Bethlehem Methodist Church for 53 years. Mrs. Campbell is survived by three sons, Harold E. Campbell of Bedford, Thomas C. Campbell of Concord and Donald S. Campbell of Rustburg; three grandchildren, Katherine (Kathy) Campbell of Bedford, Deborah C. Gallion of Salem and Thomas E. Campbell of Lynchburg; two sisters, Velma M. Andrews of Selbyville, Del. and Isiphine M. Pritner of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, Ryland Massie of Severn, Md. and Raymond Massie of Concord and numerous devoted nieces and nephews. Born in Nelson County, April 8, 1905, she was a daughter of the late John William Spiggle and Harriet Lena Thornhill Spiggle. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Chapel Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and the WMU. She is survived by a daughter, Alice H. Kelsey and her husband, George of Farmville; two sons, Crawford W. (Doc) Harris and his wife, Dorothy and Douglas Ray Harris Sr. and his wife, Kathy all of Gladstone; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Grace W. Born Nov. 21, 1911 in Nelson County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Thomas Thacker and Nettie Campbell Thacker. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Saunders. Thomas W. Wood
Thomas W. Wood, 72, of 2275 Hawkins Mill Road, died Sunday at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Julia Moorefield Wood. Mr. Wood was born Sept. 23, 1926 in Albemarle County to the late Wilson P. Wood and the late Bettie Maupin Wood. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the medical corp. during the Korean War and retired after 20 years of service. He also was a retired first aid technician with the Archer Creek Foundry. He was currently employed with Arrow Delivery Service and was a member of American Legion Post 16. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Thomas D. Preston Lloyd Burns Jr., 31, of Bedford, was taken to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 6, 1998 at Carilion Bedford Memorial Hospital. A son of Preston L. Burns Sr. and Dianne Layne Burns of Bedford, he was born in Lynchburg, Nov. 2, 1967. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a concrete finishing contractor. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Kennard Neal Gwin
Kennard Neal Gwin passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 1998 in the loving arms of his wife, Marshall Ann Price Gwin at their home, 2900 Trents Ferry Road after a valiant fight against cancer. Born Nov. 7, 1937 in Lancaster, Ohio, he was the son of Roxic Henson Gwin and the late Dallas Gwin. He was a 1959 Ohio University alumnus, where he received a BSEE degree in electrical engineering. He was a retired Project Manager and Senior Systems Engineer for General Electric and also a retired Senior Staff Engineer for Ericsson Inc. Neal was an avid British car enthusiasts and well known authority on the history and construction of Triumph Sports cars. He also collected and owned several vintage automobiles during his life. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a brother, James E. Gwin and his wife, JA of Bowie, Md.; a sister, Nancy LeMaster and her husband, Bob of Lancaster, Ohio and his extended family and cherished neighbors, R. Ashby and Barbara Templeton. Mrs. Mary Trent Lipscomb
Mrs. Mary Trent Lipscomb, 92, of South Boston, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998 at the Woodview. She was born in Charlotte County, Dec. 5, 1905, the daughter of Mr. William Thomas Trent and Mrs. Mary Roberts Jackson Trent and was married to Harry Lipscomb. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of South Boston. Mrs. Mary Trent Lipscomb is survived by five daughters, Esther Jessel of Manassas, Raye Hattan of Salem, Connie DeWitte of Southport, N.C., Joyce Manfield of Lynchburg, Janice Dixon of Vernon Hall; two sons, Euell Lipscomb of Phenix, Cecil Lipscomb of Sutherland; one sister, Bertha Wilkins of Victoria; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Trent Lipscomb will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 1998 at Roanoke Presbyterian Church near Brookneal with the Rev. John Kidd conducting the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Janice Dixon at Vernon Hill.

Bessie R. Stine
Bessie R. Stine, 71, of Amherst, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998 at University of Virginia Medical Center. Born in Amherst, Nov. 10, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Lias Ritenour and Nannie Lewis Turner Ritenour. Mrs. Stine had been employed by the Northampton County Public Schools and American Cyanamid of Piney River. She was a member of Amherst Chapter #115, Order of the Eastern Star and St. Stephens Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clarence L. Stine; a son, Donald W. Stine and wife, Sherry of Natural Bridge Station; two daughters, Shirley K. Hunt and husband, Roy E. Jr. of Amherst and Martha Jo Campbell and husband, Paul E. of Colonial Heights; one sister, Ruby R. North of Amherst and nine grandchildren, Melanie, Megan and Seth Stine, Beth, Joseph and Thomas Granham Hunt and Scott, Brian and Diana Campbell. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998 at St. Stephens Baptist Church by the Rev. William L. Jones and the Rev. Marvin Kirby with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at the church, where the body will lie in state from 3 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, P.O. Velma Hart Wade
Velma Hart Wade, 83, formerly of Lynchburg, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998 in Heritage Hall. She was the wife of the late William Robert Wade. Born June 16, 1915 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Bessie Caudill Hart. Mrs. Wade was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church of Concord. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Hughes Hancock of Statesville, N.C.; a grandson, Gerald Wayne Hancock of Danville; two great-grandchildren, Erin Hancock and Emily Hancock both of Danville; three sisters, Bertha Lane of Gladys, Ruth Wills and Lola Steppe both of Lynchburg; two brothers, Lewey Hart of Lovingston and Bobby Hart of Roanoke and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Mason officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. today at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to a local rescue squad.

Irene Almond Watson
APPOMATTOX — Irene Almond Watson, 85, of 302 Court Street, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998 at her residence. She was the wife of the late John William (Willie) Watson. Born in Appomattox County, May 27, 1913, she was a daughter of Walter Almond and Vergie Mann Almond. She was a homemaker for most of her life and a member of Hew Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, George R. Watson and Peggy O. Watson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty W. Justis and Lawrence and Jean M. Cumbie and Peyton all of Appomattox; eight grandchildren, John Watson, Robert Watson, Jason Justis, William Watson, April Campbell, Glenn Cumbie, Pat Page and Tammy Cumbie; 13 great-grandchildren, John Paul Watson, Jeremy Watson, Dawnielle Hreason, Breea Watson, Travis Cumbie, Brian Cumbie, Timothy Watson, Brittnay Justis, Kiersten Watson, Tristan Campbell, Bill Watson III, Anakin Watson and Zachary Watson; six great-great-grandchildren, Corey Hreason, Robert Lee Friedloff, Autumn Cumbie, Destiny Cumbie, Halee Cumbie and Shelby Watson. She was preceded in death by a son, William A. Watson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 1998 at New Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. Jim Bunce with burial follow at Old Herman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at her residence. Ruth Bower Wynn
Ruth Bower Wynn, 67, of Garden City, Ga., passed away Oct. 23, 1998. Born Dec. 8, 1930, the daughter of the late Ralph and Maude Bower. She graduated from New London Academy. She is survived by one son, Greg Wynn and wife, Deborah of Pooler, Ga.; two daughters, Brenda Zeigler of Marco, Fla. and Sandy Wynn of Garden City, Ga.; two brothers, Dennis Bower of Lynchburg, Edward Bower of Las Vegas, N.V.; four sisters, Eloise Floyd of Lynchburg, Mae Webber, Marie Miear and Louise Brooks all of Forest and three grandchildren.
