Margaret Corum
Margaret Ann Corum, 87 of Brunswick, Md., died Sunday, May 12, 2002 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Md.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Corum, Sr., one daughter, Rosetta Corum, one son, Howard Corum, one brother, James Corum and one sister, Elizabeth Corum.
Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Peters of Brunswick, Md., Arlane Williams of Manassas and Odessa Williams of Woodridge, N.Y.; five sons, Clarence Corum of Marshall, Thurman Corum of Alexandria, Richard Corum of Manassas, Wade Corum of Richmond and John Corum, Jr. of Manassas Park and thirty-two grandchildren and forty-seven great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakrum Baptist Church, Thoroughfare Road, Thoroughfare and 10 a.m. Saturday where services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Interment in Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas.

Earl M. Hardy
Earl M. Hardy, 45, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at his residence in Woodbridge.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching the Redskins.
Survivors include his fiancee of 11 years, Patricia R. Waggy of Woodbridge; one daughter, Crystal Leigh Hardy of Louisa County; one son, Shane Hardy; his father, Earl E. Hardy of Dale City; his stepmother, Etta L. Hardy of Dale City; one stepsister, Donna Hardy of Dale City; and two stepbrothers, Glen Hardy and Wayne Hardy, both of Dale City.
Graveside services will be held at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax.

George J. Oakey
George J. Oakey, Lt. Col. U.S. Army (Ret.), 84, of Nokesville, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
He was a graduate of St. Mary's College in Minnesota with a BA in English and he earned his master's in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He was retired from the U.S. Army and during World War II was awarded the Silver Star and two Purple Hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis J. and Elizabeth Hayes Oakey.
He is survived by his wife, Anneliese Elizabeth Oakey of Nokesville; one son, Volker G. Oakey of Bethlehem, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Quantico Marine Corps Base Chapel, with the Rev. Donald Mecks officiating. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle.

Kathryn Porch
Kathryn Smith Porch, 85 of Manassas, originally of Macon, Ga., died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at Annaburg Manor in Manassas.
She had been an instructor with the Macon School for Retarded Children in Macon, Ga. She loved gardening and doing crafts and she was an excellent cook and home maker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Porch and her parents, Albert and Emma Lou Smith.
Survivors include her son, Michael Ray Porch of Manassas; her daughters, Robin Kay Roberts of Manassas and Barbara W. Lamp of Roberta, Ga.; her sister, Dorothy I. Smith of Roberta, Ga. and four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3989 Mercer University Drive, Macon, Ga.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 16 at Buckhall United Methodist Church, 10251 Moore Drive, Manassas. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park.

Julia Hall-White
Julia F. Hall-White, of Chesapeake, died Saturday, May 11, 2002.
She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science Degree and she earned certificates of studies from the Institute of Education for Professional Secretaries International and from Washington Business School. She served twenty years in the U. S. Army, achieving many goals, medals and awards.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney K. White of Chesapeake; her son, Justin Hall of Woodbridge, seven sisters and four brothers, Ronnie Chisholm, Wanda Hall, Marvin Hall (Esperanza), Gregory Hall, Daphne, Brenda and Cynthia Hall, Vickie Hall-Williams, Stacey Hall and Michael Hall and Linda Hall.
Services will be held Friday, May 17 at 11 a. m. at First Pentecostal U. H. C. and 1 p.m. in Chesapeake.

Dorothy A. Beaman
Dorothy Alice Beaman, 72, of Lake Ridge died Friday, May 17, 2002, at her home.
A Lake Ridge resident since 1998, she was a member of Saint John's United Methodist Church in Wharton, N.J., before moving to Virginia. She graduated from Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in 1952 with a degree in nursing. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, bowling and playing bridge.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Gordon W. Beaman, one daughter, Doris E. Beiter of Tobyhanna, Pa.; two sons, Bill Beaman of Lake Ridge and Tim J. Beaman of Dale City; two sisters, Jeanne Baugh of Georgia and Barbra Kiernan of New York; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, where services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Kent Young officiating.

Anthony Joseph Falvo, 61, of Dale City, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at his home.
He was a self-employed contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Lori Falvo of Greensburg, Pa.; two sons, Dale Bradley of Carson City, Nev., and Tony Falvo of Delmont, Pa.; one brother, Gregory Falvo of Huntington, W.Va.; and four grandchildren.

Patricia A. Hines
Patricia "Trish" Ann Hines, 38, of Hartwood died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, in Stafford County.
Born April 30, 1964 in Elmira, N.Y., she was a registered nurse at Mary Washington Hospital and a veteran of the U.S. Army. She always strived to be the best and give 110 percent and often said that one of her goals in life was to make everything in this world that she touched beautiful.
Preceded in death by her mother, she is survived by her husband, Johnny Belton Hines; four daughters, La'Lita Hines, Brittany Hines, Jessica Hines and Brianna Hines, all of Hartwood; her father, William J. Mangan Sr. of Elmira; two brothers, William J. Mangan Jr. and Todd M. Mangan, both of Elmira; and one sister, Colleen M. Mangan of Elmira.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mullins & Thompson Fredericksburg Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at St. William of York Catholic Church.
Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery.

Stephanie Theresa Hines, 10, of Hartwood died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Born Aug. 27, 1991 in Geneva, N.Y., she was a student at Hartwood Elementary School. She loved to read (especially to sister Brianna) and she loved sharks. She wanted to be a marine biologist.
Preceded in death by her mother, Patricia A. Hines, she is survived by her father, Johnny Belton Hines of Hartwood; four sisters, La'Lita Hines, Brittany Hines, Jessica Hines and Brianna Hines, all of Hartwood; and her maternal grandfather, William J. Mangan Sr. of Elmira.

James R. Jenkins
James Raymond Jenkins, 30, of Manassas, died Thursday, May 16, 2002.
He was a lifelong resident of Manassas.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Bonnie L. and Ray S. Ridgley of Stafford; one daughter, Willa M. Coxen-Jenkins of Manassas; one brother, Robert T. Jenkins of Warrenton; one stepdaughter, Savana R. Coxen; and his companion, Heather R. Coxen of Manassas.

William W. McKendree
William Wayne McKendree, 70, of Fredericksburg died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at his residence.
Born in Summerville, Pa., he joined the U.S. Navy in 1949 in Pittsburgh and served during Korea and Vietnam before retiring in 1969 in Washington, D.C.
Preceded in death by his parents, Wayne JoDon and Iva Grace Beck McKendree; and one brother, Raymond Earl McKendree; he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Neoma Virginia Smith McKendree; six children, Walter Merle McKendree of Colonial Beach, William Kenneth McKendree of Manassas, Wanda Lee Morris, Wayne JoDon McKendree and Deborah Virginia Spitler, all of Fredericksburg and Sandra Dee McPhail of Germantown, Tenn.; one sister, Beverly Joyce McHale of Portersville, Pa.; two brothers, Richard Doyle McKendree of Ford City, Pa., and Harold Lester McKendree of Vandergrift, Pa.; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Lillian "Lil" Carstina Robinson, 79, of Manassas died Friday, May 17, 2002, at Prince William Hospital, Manassas.
She was a member of Old Dominion Baptist Church and the Manassas Volunteer Fire Ladies Auxillary.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James "Jimmy" H. Robinson; three children, Betty Jean Belshee of Manassas, James L. Robinson and Thomas "Tom" Robinson of Manassas; one sister, Mary Gobble of Bluefield, W.Va.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Michael V. Allen, 42, of Woodbridge died Friday, May 17, 2002 at home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Yates Allen.
He is survived by his father, Charles Lee Allen Jr.; six brothers, Bobby, Johny, Donald, Barry, Greg and Jimmy Allen; four sisters, Peggy Story, Barbara Kopasz, Jean Brill and Pat Allen; and several nieces and nephews.

Lena B. Aralios
Lena Brown Aralios, 82, of Memphis, Tenn., died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Sycamore Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 24, 1919, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of Eugene and Mary Beulah Moss Brown.
She was of the Baptist faith and had lived her life in Pittsylvania County, Centreville and in Memphis for the past four years. She was retired from Sears in Manassas, where she worked as an assistant manager.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Constantinos R. Aralios; one brother, Samuel E. Brown; three sisters, Bessie B. Black, Virginia B. Buckener and Laura B. Cane; and is survived by two sons, Eugene William Shreve of Charlottesville, and Elton Dwayne Shreve of Memphis; one daughter, Bene S. Pritchett of Warrington; three sisters, Mae B. Collins and Juanita B. Holly, both of Danville and Adele B. Sipe of Allentown, Pa.; three brothers, Eugene G. Brown, William R. Brown and James Herbert Brown, all of Danville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

John Alan Evans, 42, of Warrenton, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, in Middlesex County.
He was born May 17, 1960, in Wilson, N.C. He was a driver for Old Dominion Freight Line and enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a Braves' fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Evans.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy D. Evans of Warrenton; his mother, Nellie Faye Knapp of Raleigh, N.C.; two daughters, Ashley Renee Evans of Raleigh and Sara Jaclyn Evans of the home; one stepson, Thomas Duane Kuznear of Warrenton; one sister, Elizabeth Galimowski of Goldsboro, N.C.; and one grandson.

Ardath E. Green
Ardath Evans Green, 95, of Manassas, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Caton Merchant House, Manassas.
Mrs. Green was born May 14, 1907, in Buckhall, daughter of the late Ewell K. Evans and Pearl Kincheloe Evans. She worked many years for the American Red Cross.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Dorritt Lee Green; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas, with the Rev. Rudy Tucker officiating.

Luzana Belle Howard of Dale City, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at Potomac Hospital.
She has been a resident of the Woodbridge-Dale City community since 1967. She was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, pets and church activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Donald" Howard.
Survivors include two daughters, Robin Sue Sims of Memphis, Tenn., and Tracey Lynn Watring of Dale City; one son, Charles Daniel "Danny" Howard of St. Augustine, Fla.; two sisters, Phyllis Allen of Fincastle and Sara Meadow of Hinton, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Brian D. Pelton
Bryan D. Pelton, 38, of Wythe County, died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at his home.
He is survived by three daughters, Angela, Rebecca and Brianna Pelton, all of Manassas; his parents, Raymond and Joanne Pelton of Fort Chiswell; three brothers, Michael Pelton of Roanoke, Eric Pelton of Copper Hill, and Raymond Pelton Jr. (R.J) of Austinville.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. at Nelson Park in Manassas.
Kenneth L. Pittman
Kenneth "Ken" L. Pittman, 80, of Dumfries, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at Potomac Hospital.
He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a master sergeant after 26 years, having served in the Korean War, Vietnam and World War II. He then worked with the U.S. Capital Police in Washington, D.C., from which he also retired. He was an avid sports fan who loved football, golf and bowling. He also spent a lot of time reading many books and newspapers. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Minnie Pittman; and one sister, Marjorie M. Hovda.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Norma K. Pittman of Dumfries; two daughters, Patty L. Bard of Lititz, Pa., and Barbara F. Godfrey of Woodbridge; two sons, Kenneth Lloyd Pittman Jr. and Rick Schweigert, both of Arlington; one sister, Marie M. Hovda of St. Paul, Minn.; one brother, Earl L. Pittman of St. Paul, Minn.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lieselotte Anna Scites, 73, of Dumfries, died Monday, May 20, 2002, at Potomac Hospital.
She had been a resident of Dumfries since 1960.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Horace Edward Scites of the home; one daughter, Linda Chapman of Birmingham, Ala.; two sons, Thomas Scites of Stafford and Billy Scites of Woodbridge; her mother, Susanna Birkenfeld of Bad hom burg V.D.H Humberg, Germany; two sisters, Crystal and Lisa, and one brother, Franz, all of Germany; three grandsons; and two granddaughters.

Rolla B. Terrell
Rolla Beams Terrell, of Haymarket, formerly of London, Ky., died Sunday May 19, 2002.
He was born July 10, 1916 in Swann Lake, Ky. He was the son of the late George W. Terrell and Maggie Beams Terrell. He married Rosetta Owens on Nov. 4, 1939.
Mr. Terrell served two years in the CCC during World War II, then worked as a coal miner for 32 years. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Clinton Terrell.
Survivors include his wife, Rosetta Owens Terrell of the home; two daughters, Peggy Terrell Cook of Haymarket and Patsy Terrell Tucker of Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bowling Funeral Home, 1704 North Main St., London, Ky. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with interment at Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, Ky.
