MARION - Patricia Ann Guy Werth, 54, of Independence, Va., died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Mrs. Werth was a graduate of Radford University and received her doctorate at Virginia Tech. She is survived by her husband, Frederick Morrison Werth Jr. of Independence; two sons, Frederick M. Werth III and wife, Diane, of St. Charles, Mo., and Geoffrey Werth of Redstone, Colo.; her father and stepmother, Robert and Kathy Guy of Marion; three sisters, Dr. Mary Miller of Blacksburg, Michelle DeBord of Rural Retreat and Nancy McDonald of Mt. Dora, Fla.; three brothers, Robert Guy of Ocean Shores, Wash., J. Arthur Guy of Charleston, S.C., and Timothy Guy of Ladson, S.C.; four grandchildren, Caitlin Danielle Werth, Christian Willams, Frederick M. Werth IV and Virginia Lacy Werth. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Blacksburg, with Reverend Mark Lawlor the celebrant. Mrs. Mabel Virginia Jessee Woodward, 87, of 2439 Broad St., Bristol, Tenn., died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, in Wellmont Hospice House.
Mrs. Woodward lived most of her life in Okeechobee, Fla., before moving to Bristol seven years ago. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack W. Woodward; and one son, Wade D. Dayton.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Grant and June McGhee, both of Bristol Virginia, and Joyce Tester of Bristol Tennessee; and one son, Eddie R. Dayton of Fort Myers, Fla. Also surivivng are 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Walter Statzer officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Jimmy Lee Bledsoe
Jimmy Bledsoe, 45, of 2111 Highway 126, Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord Friday, March 29, 2002, at Wellmont Hospice House.
Mr. Bledsoe was born in Lee County, Va., Aug. 25, 1956, moved to Bristol with his family in 1961 and resided in Bristol throughout his life.
Mr. Bledsoe graduated from Central High School in 1974, and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a degree in music education. Mr. Bledsoe was a substitute teacher in Sullivan County and taught private music lessons. He was an employee of Bell South. He was an avid musician and his favorite hobby was tennis, where he excelled.
Survivors include his parents, James and Reba Bledsoe of Bristol, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Tracy Bledsoe of Blountville; nephew, Aaron Bledsoe of Blountville; maternal grandmother, Mildred Mize of Bluff City; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 7 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Crusenberry officiating and the eulogy will be presented by friend Lyndon Leonard. LIMESTONE, Tenn. - Ms. Bettie Andis Boy, 79, formerly of Kingsport, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at Anderson Health Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Boy was a Washington County native and daughter of the late Guy and Hannah Lewis Andis.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City, past member of Washington County Home De monstration Club and the Presbyterian Women.
Mrs. Boy was a homemaker.

KINGSPORT - Ricky W. Bralley, 42, of 218 E. Sevier Ave. died at Holston Valley Medical Center at 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2002, following a long illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Kingsport, he graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School in 1977.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Bralley; his paternal grandparents, Edgar M. Bralley and Ellen Cox; and maternal grandparents, Guy Roberts and Rosie Bowser.
Survivors include Angela Bralley; one son, Jason W. HARRIMAN, Tenn. - Kate Jenkins Clark, 91, passed away Friday, March 29, 2002, at Rockwood Health Care Center. She was a member of Virginia Avenue Bapist Church in Bristol, Tenn. A native of Harriman, she resided in Bristol for several years. She was preceded in death by husband, Charles H. Clark Sr.; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita McGlothin of Harriman; a son, Charles "Buddy" Clark of Elizabethton; son and daughter-in-law, Layne and Vicki Clark of Youngsville, N.C.; a son, Duane Clark of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jan Stewart, Jeff McGlothin, Cheryl Clark and Tammy Cook; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

BLUFF CITY - Haskel Lee Glover, 86, of 1649 Ryder Church Road died March 30, 2002, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born April 27, 1915, the son of the late Landon and Lula Carrier Glover. He had spent most of his life in the Bristol area and was a retired truck driver for Time-DC. He was a member of Mount Holston Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Johnnie C. Glover; sons Haskel Wayne Glover of Bluff City, Bobby Glover of Bristol, Tenn., and Haskel William Glover of Bristol, Tenn.; daughters Barbara Johnson of Trinity, Texas, Edna Ruth Schurtz of Franklin, Tenn., and Penny Greer of Franklin; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Libby Glover.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sylvia Jean Glover; and a son, Larry Allen Glover.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - Kelsey Renee Guy, 10, of 3840 Ottway Road died Thursday, March 28, 2002, in an automobile accident with her grandfather, David E. Hatley, in Argo, Ala. A native of Carter County, currently residing in Greeneville, she was the daughter of Eugenia Renee Bradford of Greeneville and Michael David Guy of Butler.
Kelsey was a fifth-grade honor student at Ottway Elementary School in Greeneville and had made the baseball team for this summer. She also attended Ottway Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Lee Hall. A native of Carter County, David, known to his CB radio friends as "Gunsmoke", was the son of the late Jube Elmer and Hazel Durham Hatley. Herman J. Hosey
Herman Jackson Hosey, 52, of 12483 Smith Creek Road, Bristol, Va., died March 28, 2002, at the VA Hospital. He was the son of the late Jack and Cynthia Blaylock Hosey, and had returned to Bristol from North Carolina approximately two years ago. He was retired from Century Furniture in Hickory, N.C. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Louise Stout Hosey; a son, Herman Jackson Hosey Jr. of Bristol, Va.; daughters, Kimberly Louise Hosey Reitzel of Bristol, Tenn., Mary Elizabeth Hosey Hall of New Grenada, Pa.; four grandsons; two granddaughters; brothers James Hosey of Radcliffe, Ky., Roy Hosey of Bristol, Tenn., and Teddy Hosey of Bristol, Tenn.; sisters Ruby Walsh of Bristol, Tenn., Denise Blevins of Gate City, Regina Carty of Bristol, Tenn., and Patty Henegar of Bristol, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Harold Lee Layne
SHORTTS GAP, Va. - Harold Lee Layne, 82, formerly of Harman, Va., went to be with the Lord Friday, March 29, 2002, at Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Toler, Ky., he was a son of the late Dave and Peggy Mounts Layne. He had been a resident of Buchanan County several years, a member of Harman Memorial Baptist Church, was a retired employee of Harman Mining Coal Corp. and a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 7025.
Mr. Layne was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Eunice V. Stiltner Layne, on Oct. 30, 1997.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Patsy) Coffey of Leemaster, Va., and Ms. Peggy Layne of Shortts Gap.; one sister, Melda Aliff of Williamson,W.Va.; two brothers, Jimmy Layne of Belfrey, Ky., and Mont Layne of South Bend, Ind.; two grandsons, Tim and wife, Carla Coffey, of Gray, Tenn., and Chris Coffey of Dallas; two great-granddaughters, Alexandra and Victoria Coffey of Gray; and two great-grandsons, Sutton and Braeden Coffey of Gray.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.

CHILHOWIE - Anna Lou Tuell Sheets, 61, died Saturday morning, March 30, 2002, at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Grosses Creek Baptist Church in Chilhowie. Interment will follow in Grosses Creek Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2002, at Grosses Creek Baptist Church.
